Michele Ferrero died today, 14th February 2015, at the age of 89. He was one of the richest Italians according to Bloomberg’s Billionaire Index and the founder of the Fondazione Ferrero in 1983, which cared after ex-employees and promoted cultural and artistic activities.

Memorial Day
It's not about the beaches, the grilling, kicking off summer, alchohol, or kids lighting little sparklers in their back yards. It's about those who have risked their lives so we can enjoy all of the trivial activities we do day after day. It's about those who not only risked it all, but lost it all as well. To all of the families who werent able to get just one last hug, or one last letter, my heart goes out to you. Because you are the real heroes. Keeping your composure when all else seemed to go wrong. Every morning, I put on this uniform, and i take pride in it. I may not be a high ranking officer or an NCO, but I don't need to be to know that I'm doing something good not only for myself, but for all of the families across America that need that sense of protection. And for all of my battle buddies both past and present, my heart and prayers go out to you. Memorial Day is a day of remembrance. It may not have seemed like it at the time, but the brave men and women who served in previous years kept me safe and allowed me to make the decision to enlist, and one day, if I ever see combat during my time in the military, I will do the same for the next generation of soldiers. So yeah, kick off your summer with a big party, hang out at the beach and drink a nice cold beer, but just take a second to remember those who made a difference.... those who may not have wanted to put on a uniform that morning, but did it anyway. God bless all of this nation's military.
