Another Cecil drawing because I love old men I guess

2004->2013->2023

I decided that it could be a good tradition to come back to this drawing once a decade to see how much I have improved. A very fun challenge I must admit!:D Still a lot to learn though!

I remember that art lesson in kindergarten, where we were given shapes that served as a base for our drawings and we were told to customise them to our liking. Not sure why I chose that outfit, but everything else makes sense. A hula hoop - because it was the favourite activity for many kids in my school back then; the pink background and a Dobermann are for the poster that used to be in my room. It is a great example of how everything we create is influenced by something that we see or experience around us.

Slavic sisterhood takeover in the form of Vesna, a 6-piece band representing Czechia with a song called ‘My Sister’s Crown’!🇨🇿👑

Lyrics of this year’s Czech Republic’s Eurovision song entry will feature 4 different languages: English, Ukrainian, Bulgarian and Czech, but the message is clear: ‘All the sisters of the world coming together with a prayer to chose love over power’.

In multiple Slavic languages word ‘Vesna’ means ‘spring’. Will Vesna see success this spring? Song currently sits within the top 10 as predicted by the bookmakers, how high will they finish?

Loreen is back in the contest ten years after her victory! This time with the song ‘Tattoo’!🇸🇪💅🏻

The legendary winner of the Eurovision 2012 is back and she is ready to fight for another victory, as Loreen’s ‘Tattoo’ is a fan’s favourite to win this year’s contest. It is Loreen’s 4th time participating in Melodifestivalen and her 2nd time successfully winning it. Her song ‘Tattoo’ was not only performed perfectly, thanks to Loreen’s amazing vocals, but the staging consisting of a large screen hovering over her took the breath of many viewers away. Will her performance in the first semi-final inspire Eurofans this year and result in her winning Eurovision 2023?
