Editing your theme on desktop can get you shadowbanned now

So I had this translation blog (@flavorofblue) that never shows up in searches, tags, or even any post's notes when when I reblog it with tags or comments. I figured it got shadowbanned, so I converted an inactive sideblog that was previously fine (@theonlysunlight) to my new translation blog, and it was fine for three days until I started editing my theme. What I did included adding new pages, specifically a new tag list, to the blog, after which it stopped showing up in tags and notes. I can't even see it in my notifs when I reblog posts from my other blogs with it. Either tumblr really hates translations, or editing your custom desktop theme can get you shadowbanned now.

I've already sent this to tumblr staff but considering their... efficiency, I figured I'd make a post about it as well. Since so many people have been getting shadowbanned, this might be one reason? If you're thinking about editing your desktop theme, maybe don't do it right now.
