So, while this is something that I’ve been dwelling on and considering for the past six months, I haven’t... really thought about the proper way to go about writing this? As such, this is probably going to look muddled, unpleasant, and not very fun to read, but what can ya do? Anyway, I’ll just cut to the chase:

I’ve been roleplaying Dandy since January 19th, 2014. Believe me when I say it’s an absurd coincidence that I’m posting this on what would be my sixth anniversary of playing him, but I swear, I made my first Dandy blog immediately after the third episode of the series had aired. In that lengthy amount of time, I’ve done so many things I never expected that I could accomplish with whom I thought would just be a throwaway muse. I met my best friend on-and-offline through him, I’ve been introduced to so many talented writers who I still consider good friends, and I’ve had a ton of threads and ships that I can always look back on and fawn over. With that said, I think these six years are finally starting to take its wear and tear on me, so... I’m retiring Dandy.

Now, of course, that doesn’t mean I’m quitting roleplay, oh no. I have a lot of stuff that I’m working on that I project will be up-and-running around February or so. But as it stands, I’m just not having any fun with this character anymore. I’ve tried everything from rewatching the series, taking extended breaks to see if my interest in him would return, and even making new blogs just to try something new. In regards to that last one, those almost never stuck because I’m always thinking about the interactions I’ve left behind on this blog, and I end up feeling... guilt, I guess? I know I’ve left a couple of people hanging and I’ve got a mountain of unanswered inbox messages that has left me underwhelmed, but I’ve really need to start seeing the bigger picture, and realize I should focus on making this simple hobby about my own enjoyment first. I sincerely apologize to anyone who I was threading with or I had long-term plans with. Please understand I want to give you the best threading experience possible -- but I just can’t do that by forcing myself to feel something for a muse I’ve lost connection with a long time ago.

Thank you so much for all of you who’ve stuck by me and I’ve genuinely adored the privilege I had to interact with all of you. There’s so many people I could namedrop, but I’m sure most of you already know who you are, and I wouldn’t have stuck with this character for this long without you inspiring me.

You’re tellin’ me... that you’ve got babies?! “ Hearing such a sudden revelation instinctively caused him to jerk his head upward, granting the hacker complete eye contact. As low as his questionable morals were, he couldn’t bring himself to ogle a mother in distress -- it was downright inauspicious. Especially when there were children’s lives to consider.

                 Besides, he didn’t want their father to kick his teeth in.

“ Why didn’t you say so sooner?! “ He inquired before quickly planting himself in front of his vessel’s console. Hands already positioned over the tacky handle-bar shaped shifts, none the least bit hesitant in kicking off the search, as his eyes idly scrolled through various coordinates. “ Pay? Pffft! Don’t you worry your shapely ‘lil behind about that! We’ll find ‘em in two shakes of a booty’s tail! How old are these tykes anyway? Five? Six? “

[★] “ Huh -- wha?! “ Finally taking the initiative to actually peer over her shoulder, the hunter’s eyes would mostly stay locked onto the screen. Much to his astonishment, the new additions to his severely outdated system leaving little for him to complain. Galaxy maps, alien indexes, travel routes -- it was almost perfect. “ I, uhh... wow. I... I don’t know what to say. Not that I don’t appreciate the new digs, but what’s the catch here, baby? “

That was certainly a list that could give most novels a run for their money. Regardless, the hunter began to sweat profusely at the thought of what she might’ve been scrolling through. “ ... L-look, what d’ya need? Money? Food? A ridiculously handsome boy-toy? I’ll give you whatever you want! Just pretend you didn’t see anythin’. “
