Courier finds herself give a soft squeak as before she even turns her head towards the sound of her name she finds herself scooped up in a set of arms, sockets widening in surprise at the suddenness of it yet a her mouth can’t help but curl up with a light almost breathless giggle as her lights catch her lovers with a soft, happy glow.

“ Sans! “

A gleeful sound catches her voice before she presses back lovingly into the kiss he bestows her, cheekbones heating up with a warmth that she feels all the way to her soul that flutters happily in her chest.

The  skeleton is actually running, before swooping the skeleton of his life off of her feet, twirling around with her in his arms.

When he put her back down, he pressed a loving kiss to her teeth.

They peer down over the tree, claws dug into the branch they were ‘hanging out’ on in a manner that almost suggests they might be stuck, blinking at the Pearl before giving a wave of their tail to her as the praise seems to make them perk up slightly. At this point maybe they should ask for help but...then they had to admit they were stuck and couldn’t climb trees!

nuggets-and-naps‌:

She was rather expressive huh. He didn’t know much about monsters but he knew some things about cats. He’d actually fed some after his shifts when he worked at McRonalds… should check on those guys, hadn’t seen em since he quit.. Anyhow cats often expressed with their tails. Their ears helped too, same as body language but he couldn’t be sure that Courier even had ears.. 

“Heh well i’ll be sure to save you one regardless, and as for a demon princess.. “ he scratches his chin in thought, “that’d be more reds and black probably.. less soft and glitter more hell fire and doom– though that’s pretty biased coming from me i guess, anyhow im sure its been done so you could probably find somet–”

He was trailing off in thought when she gestured and posed with her fingers as horns, catching his breath for a moment with her behavior. He caught himself staring and probably it was that which led her to get flustered and recede back to the conversation after embarrassing herself. Though least of him to shame her for it but..

She was… really cute..

The thought fell heavy in his mind. Huh.. so monsters could be cute to him.. He wasn’t going to judge monsters harshly but he just wasn’t.. interested..? It was just.. people. More people. And he wasn’t good with people regardless of race or.. being. She could be an angel from on high and he’d have responded the same– no instead she was an angel from underground.. a cat angel.. a skeletal cat angel–

“Y-yeah uh.. i bet.. lots to figure out since moving huh? I’ve only moved like once or twice and it was a big ordeal, Pap’s had so much stuff–”  

Much like her he eagerly receded back to the conversation at hand, glancing aside momentarily to regain his focus and relaxed demeanor.

“And yeah Paps is pretty inspiring, I mean how he thinks up all these costumes and things is beyond me. It’s really the coolest to see him at work sketching out his plans and making to do lists– though seeing him work so hard definitely makes me sleepy~” 

He smiled fondly as he recalled his brother and sung his praises. San would always be a big brother at heart even if Paps did more work than he ever did. 

“Oh yeah? I think it should be open right now if you’d want to go? I’m off work and not doing anything right now so if you’re free we could swing by, you’ll find all sorts of things there maybe even helpful things for around the home~”

Courier smiles easily despite the lingering warmth that lightly colored her cheekbones, at least he’d done her a favor and ignored her embarrassing herself like that. She usually saved the urge to be silly for her siblings as it amused them, but she’d been filled with such an energy ever since she’d made it to the surface. The warmth of the sun was something she feared she’d never be able to go without again, it made her soul hum happily in her chest each time she stepped out into it. 

Ah right, her move to the surface. They’d held off from moving up right away, so many monsters wanted to move right away so they’d waited a few months for the buzz to die down at least a little bit...they’d also wanted to see how it played out as her and Calisto hadn’t wanted to get Impact’s hopes up if they were all just going to be forced back underground...as horrible as a thought that it was. Sometimes she was still on the fence if the humans actually wanted them up here or not given some of the looks and words she’d received in the short time she’s been out among them.

“ Yeah...It’s a lot of new stuff...I don’t know if I’ll ever get use to looking up and seeing the sky! “

She gives a light laugh as she tips her head back to look up, a smile pulling her mouth almost on reflex as she did so, lights brightening a tad as her tail curled pleasantly behind her. No matter what color it took it was wonderful. She dropped her gaze to look to him again with that almost giddy smile she was quick to try and smother as she tilted her gaze forward again to continue speaking.

“ But we’ve been settling in well--I even found an apartment complex that accepts monsters! “

She gives a happy hum, tilting her head slightly to the side to look to him again, seeming attentive as he talked about his brother. Her gaze seeming to soften and her expression warming at the fondness she could hear and see from him, it was endearing the way he spoke of his sibling and seeing him display so openly how much he clearly adored his sibling was adorable. She was sure his brother was as amazing as he sung his praises to be. 

Courier brightened a tad as he mentioned the store being opened at that moment, she had a few hours before she’d be needed back home at today had been meant to be roaming around exploring anyway. Her tail rose behind her with a pleased wave as she gave a small nod.

“ I do happen to be free right now so I’d love to go with you! I don’t have to be back for a few hours anyway so for now I’m all yours. “
