i think modern society needs to differentiate between edgelords and bigots more. it annoys me when someone makes a racist joke and people say "wow, you're so edgy". bigotry isn't edgy, it's just asshole behavior.

everyone knows edgelords love to employ dark humor, but dark humor does not involve bigotry. dark humor is when you make jokes out of serious subjects. joking about losing your dick in a car accident is dark humor. joking about the jews deserving the holocaust is not.

i'm an edgelord because i dress exclusively in black and think facial scars make you look badass. you're not edgy by being racist or sexist, you're just being an idiot.
