what a cute couple

"I wouldn't necessarily say we're a couple. We haven't exactly discussed anything of sort between one another ta establish that for certain."

"Don't want ta be jumping ta conclusions alright? Even if this is a date, if it is a date that doesn't mean he's interested. Can't just go rushin in ta things without being sure."

"So unless we've actually decided we're a couple we're just friends got it?"

  infxnatum​:

“I have a lot of spots like this…isolated…peaceful. It’s usually where I get away to just be by myself and think.” He remarked, setting a cube on the ground that looked extremely futuristic.

Tapping on the top, it slid open, there was light coming from inside. “But, it’s nice to have someone here this time. A rare time I don’t want to be by myself.” He reached in, and bit by bit pulled out an entire cooking setup for making curry. And a fair number of ingredients. It definitely looked like that all shouldn’t have fit inside that box.

“Could you collect a bit of wood and get the first started? I have a fan to get the flames going proper.”

“I get that. I need time ta myself sometimes too.”

He watches curiously as he pulls out things from the strange box, admittedly wondering how it was possible for all of that to have even managed to fit in there in the first place. 

“Sure thing, you can count on me. I’ll be back in no time at all.”

He hops right up eagerly, before dashing off into the trees to collect wood. True to his word it isn’t long before he’s returned, starting to set up the fire and getting the flames started.

  infxnatum​:

Osirus lead him on a fairly brief stint through the trees to a small clearing. It had a nice view of the sky through a gap in the trees. And plenty of room to set up a picnic.

“Here we are then, Coran. I’ll get everything laid out in the middle and we’ll get started. The weather should hold, and the trees will help block the wind.” Osirus was rather cheerful himself. It was rare he got to do stuff like this.

“This is a lovely spot ya really got good taste.” 

He comments looking around at the little clearing. He looks up at the sky for a while before settling down under a tree for a moment while things get situated.

  infxnatum​: 

“You say that, but I’ve met a few that easily let it get out of control. Of course, I never once doubted you, Coran. Come along, it’s right over this way.” He waved one of his slender hands towards the forest’s edge. Not too far in was a nice glade.

“Never any trouble, my associates are all over and always happy to help someone, regardless of what they might need help with.”

“Comin.”

He seems pleased to hear that Osirus had faith in his abilities. He eagerly moves to follow him towards where he was gesturing. Honestly happy about the idea of helping cook and having a nice picnic together. 

“If you say so, I’ll keep that in mind then.”

  infxnatum​:

“Perfect, that means you can help me make it too. In fact, because of your typing, I could have no better assistant in the matter. I’m hoping you have good control over how much heat you emit with your flames.” Eyes looked down at the Cinderace next to him while they continued walking, almost there.

“Honestly, you could always just pay a visit and I’ll cook for you. And if I can’t for whatever reason, a few of my associates can cook pretty well too.” Being what he was, Osirus had many skills…except fighting.

“I actually like cooking, in particular, baking. One of the few hobbies I truly have outside of my work, which I do greatly enjoy.”

“Of course I can control the heat of my flames. Pretty important for a fire type I think.” 

Didn’t want to risk going around and creating wild fires or hurting people after all, and fire was something that could easily get out of control if someone wasn’t careful. 

“Aw shucks, that’s a mighty kind offer but I wouldn’t want ta trouble ya any time I was hungry.”

  infxnatum​: 

“Curry is kind of the staple where I come from. Given that you can make it with just about anything you have on hand, it’s perfect for on the fly cooking.” He’d have to check his supplies for what would be best to use as a base. He’s got stock and plenty of berries…but what to go with it?

Something spicy…did he have any naturally spicy meats in his storage? “Very hearty depending on the ingredients, and countless flavor combinations.”

“My parents cooked it a lot when I used ta live with them because it was easy to make in large portions to feed the lot of us. I remember helpin out making it was I was just a scorbunny still.”

“Should actually try an cook myself more often rather than getting food places all the time. Would save a lot of money that way.”

  infxnatum​:

The urge to tease himself was irresistible. “Oh, one date and you’re already wanting to take me home to meet the family, how sweet. But maybe we should at least try to see how this first day goes first.”

“Oh well, that works out well.” He diverted the conversation back to food quickly. “Curry is very easy to make a good spicy meal out of. Plenty of berries in my storage space, we can make it at the site.”

Oh, was this a date? Really a date or just a part of the joke?

“Introducin a friend I’ve known for a while ta other friends I’ve known for a while usually isn’t quite as big a deal as introducin the whole family.”

He chuckles a little before following the lead of letting the conversation shift back to food.

“Curry is great, used ta have it all the time when I was younger.”

“But they’d try to make it their business…you know how some friends can be. I bet there’s at least one of your group that’s nosy.”

Osirus was thinking of a certain other rabbit he knew all too well. “Oh? Well do you have any favorites? I can’t guarantee anything in particular, as I only have a few things prepared regularly, but I can certainly try.”

“Ya, ok can’t deny that some of my team would be nosy or try and tease about it.  Then again some of em will take about any chance they can ta tease. Suppose we all do that to each other though. It’s all in good fun.”

He laughs a little. 

“Maybe I should introduce ya to them sometime.  As far as food goes, anything sweet or spicy are my favorites honestly. Generally not a picky eater though so I’m sure anything you have would be just fine.”

  infxnatum​:

“Sure, I just hope nobody we know sees us.” He commented with a bit of a chuckle, reaching down to hook his arm with Coran’s carefully. “Tomorrow it’s going to rain so let’s not waste the entire day.”

He mimicked the other a bit, using his free hand to brush his head frill down slightly. “I assume you’re vegan, right? Need to know what to set up when we get there.”

He rolls his eyes with a little chuckle of his own. 

“It’d be none of their business anyways.”

He hooks arms with Osirus as well, looking towards the sky briefly at the mention of rain. Likely making the mental note not to go out tomorrow.

“Actually, though most would assume being a rabbit and all that I’m vegan I’m not. Doesn’t bother me any. Grew up in a household in all different pokemon with varying diets.”

  infxnatum​:

“Then let us be off for a walk. It’s a nice day on the cusp of autumn, perfect weather for being out in nature.” It was nice never having to prepare for spur of the moment things like picnics.

“Shall I lead the way, or would you like to walk arm in arm? It’s not too far away, but still pretty isolated.” He remarked, tail coiling around a bit, dragging through the dirt.

“Might as well walk arm in arm, like ya said, it’s the perfect weather for a nice walk. No need to rush around or anythin.” 

Coran smiles warmly, brushing his ears back. Much as he loved rushing around and being active, from time to time it was nice to just take things slow and easy for once. This seemed like a prime opportunity to.

  infxnatum​:

“Well, I know you’re not too big on water, so the beach is out. Do you favor in town, or out in nature? I know a nice little glade we can have a picnic in for the latter.”

Part of him was worried about doing things in town, if only because he wasn’t a fan of crowds…and what they liked to assume about two people being together.

“A picnic sounds like a fine idea.” 

While he didn’t mind towns any as he was quite a outgoing and sociable person, when spending time with someone specific he prefers small groups or simply one on one time. Partially due to outside perceptions and assumptions, and partially because he wanted to be able to focus on the person he was with.

  infxnatum​:

“I always have the backs of my friends. I may not be the strongest, but my intellect can help with any situation that may come to pass.” His tail gently slapped against the ground.

“Hmmm…well I do know what I could use a quick footed fire type for right now. A nice day out, hm?”

“Now that’s somethin I think I can definitely manage to help with. Anything in particular ya had in mind?” 

Coran can’t help but be thrilled to hang out and spend some time with someone he hasn’t seen in far too long. It really is great to be back.

“Well if she gets the tappies again, I can introduce her to the Commander. They can do a quick trek on their own and you can stay here with me. I’ll keep you safe.:”

“Ah, shucks. I like ta think I’m pretty decent at keepin myself safe, but it’s mighty appreciated Osirus. Good to know I’ve got people willing to have my back. “

“For what it’s worth, in any case ya need a quick footed fire type for something I’d happily be of service.”

  infxnatum​:

“I mean, when you’re a Cobalion that basically never stops moving…you travel quite far during the day to day. And he’s got to deal with problems all over the place.” He couldn’t travel that much, even though he didn’t sleep. He was far too slow.

“Bosses, always a delight, aren’t they? They keep you safe, they keep you going, but they also make things difficult sometimes. As long as she doesn’t decide to take you away again, perhaps you can stick around.” It was nice having someone high energy around, kept things lively.

“Stickin around would be ideal, so hopefully I shouldn’t have ta be leaving the area for anything anytime soon. Thankfully, I think she’s got it our of her system for a good while. “

“Trying to break the Commander’s record for most miles traveled during a year, are you?” He snickered, knowing it was impossible. That man never stopped moving.

“Mopsy…Mopsy, why don’t I remember Mopsy? Usually my memory doesn’t fail me.” It literally can’t, “Did I erase that information by accident, or is this someone you never mentioned?”

There was a slight pause, “I’m certainly glad to see you back.”

“Heh, don’t think I’m probably going an breaking any records. Sure there are folks that travel a lot further in that time. Had ta go the team’s speed too.”

Coran chuckles with a little shake of his head. “Oh, I just probably haven’t mentioned them before. Mopsy’s the nickname of my boss basically. She’s the leader of the lil team I’m a part of.”

His expression softens a bit after the other’s pause.

“Aw shucks Osirus. I missed ya too. I’ll try not ta just up an disappear like that for so long without sayin something first. Hadn’t planned ta be doing it in the first place.”
