MY SISTERS AREN’T DOING WELL!!

Soso is struggling to recover from chickenpox, her fever keeps coming back and the hot weather isn’t helping. We barely have any food to give her to help her immune system fight the disease. She’s too thin, too small and too weak for her age. She cries constantly from pain and hunger. Our other sister keeps fainting due to malnutrition.

We struggle to stay afloat due to the insane prices. $1,000 for 25kg of flour. $150 for 1kg of sugar. Fruits, vegetables and meat are hopeless. Hygiene products and medicine are a luxury.

I know we’re not the only ones asking and I know you guys are struggling too. I understand that. But please at least share if you see this. There are people out there who can afford to donate and I need to reach them!

At the risk of attracting the wrong people to this blog - I think the reason why some of you get really offended when people call you, celebrities you like, organizations you support, companies you buy from, etc., zionists, is because a lot of you actually don't know what zionism is.

I think there is a preconceived notion that a zionist is someone who calls Palestinians slurs, openly supports genocide, chants death to arabs while getting their coffee or something along those lines, and granted there are a lot like this, but a zionist is someone who supports the existence of the state of Israel - and if you know your history of al-nakba, al-naksa, Palestinian land theft, settler colonialism, massacres, displacement going back over a century - you'd know why this is inherently a bad thing.

It's why statements like "I support Israel and Palestine", "I support a two-state solution", "I want peace for both sides" or "Israel and Palestine both have a right to exist" are always intrinsically zionist. Actually learn what these terms mean because some of the things I see you guys calling 'pro-Palestine' are still rooted in zionism.

Idk anybody else find these kind of discussions deeply insidious like for years it's been an uphill battle actually respecting the wide array of ways trauma works in the brain to associate anything "normal" with the worst of the worst moments we remember, I feel like it's so self serving to pretend like it's just annoying "theyfabs"(ugh) complaining about nothing instead of actually listening to your friends boundaries about things outside of their and your control, like I have very particular triggers that seem redundant to others but I feel like I've received more laughs trying to bring that up to people than genuine compassion and just to act like it was all stupid kids with stupid triggers is just bringing the conversation back way to much for comfort.... I still think of that really popular comic from the 2010s about how this person was triggered by eggs just because they made it in the morning for the person who assaulted them, and everybody in the replies agreed yeah it's normal to have seemingly mundane triggers because again ITS NOT A CHOICE. Maybe everybody just needs to uninstall Instagram I don't fucking know

My name is Enas. I have eight children of varying ages and two grandchildren.

The reality of war, pain, and destruction we have faced daily for nearly two years is indescribable. Before that, we were a normal family, like yours: we worked in various professions (accountant, school guard, nurse, etc.), held social gatherings, and celebrated birthdays. Since then, we have lost everything: our homes, our jobs, our possessions, our family members, and our friends. Our lives are in tatters.

The past three months have been hell. Constant displacement (five times), living in a squalid tent, water scarcity, and unbearable food. We eat at most one meal a day, usually canned beans or rice. The cost of one meal that would suffice for my family for a day is $50, and prices are constantly rising.

Escaping starvation and death seems impossible. The crossing is closed, keeping us trapped in Gaza.

I launched this campaign because it is our only hope for survival until the crossing is finally opened, or, God willing, this war ends and reconstruction begins.
