https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nommo
Nommo was the first living creature created by the sky God Amma in Dogon mythology. The Nommo then underwent a transformation into four pairs of twins. One of the twins rebelled against the Universal order, thus making the three pairs a three plus one.
Jung sees the four Nommo of the dogon as a three plus one.

The Dogon depict designs for four masks, each representing four houses connected with the Nommos. Three of the four masks of the Dogon have sevenfold patterns. The fourth mask has a twelvefold pattern. Again, we notice the three plus one pattern.

Jean Fouquet, Book of Hours of Étienne Chevalier – 1452-60
Currently at the Musée Condé in Château de Chantilly in France. US Public Domain via wikimedia
Fouquet’s painting from Book of Hours of Etienne Chevalier is said to depict a quaternity. There are three white robed men that share a throne. The virgin, the fourth figure, is seated by herself.
Anselm Kiefer has an attic scene called “quaternity”.In German script, Kiefer christens each of the three flames as members of the trinity. A snake comes from the shadows and it is going to commune with the flames. The snake represents the different fourth aspect, Satan. In Jung’s Answer to Job, Jung describes Satan as the fourth member added to the trinity, making a quaternity.

Hartley made an abstract portrait composition of his friend Karl Von Freyberg. The portrait is called “Portrait of a German officer”. Karl Von Freyberg was Hartley’s dear friend. Freyberg died at the age of 24 in the war. Hartley puts the number 24 in the composition. You can see the four in 24. Moreover, Freyberg was in regiment four, so Hartley draws a four. Hartley also draws a cross to represent Freyberg’s iron cross. Many of Hartley’s compositions included crosses and the number four.
Hartley’s “The Iron Cross” is shown above. Again, you can see the crosses, as well as the number four.

Formalist — The Formalist is interested in examining the boundaries of an art form, stretching them, exploring what the form is capable of. The Formalist is interested in experimenting, turning the form upside-down and inside-out, moving in new, bold, untried directions, inventing and innovating. Formalists are the cutting edge, the avant-garde, the ones willing to break tradition and established ways. Strict narrative or craft is not as important as trying something new and unexpected, playing with and breaking traditional concepts, getting to the heart of understanding what art itself is.
Revolution Art
Animist — The Animist is devoted to the content of art, above all else. The Animist’s goal is telling the story, conveying the message, as directly as possible. All the craft in art is in service to the delivery of the content. The goal of art is to effectively deliver its content, with as little that distracts from that job as possible.
Tradition Life
Classicist — The Classicist is the artist who focuses on beauty, craftsmanship, and a tradition of excellence and mastery. The esthetic experience of the art is what is important. Art is meant to move and affect an audience, deliver an emotional experience. Classicists strive to perfect their craft in order to produce the most effective work possible.
Tradition Art
Iconoclast — The Iconoclast is interested in portraying raw, human experience in as honest and authentic a way as possible. Art is to hold a mirror to reality, and show the audience the hard, painful truths of existence. The Iconoclast resists pandering, comforting indulgences, or diluting the art, considering that to be selling out. Artistic integrity is critically important to Iconoclasts. Beauty, craft, and standard narrative may be cast aside in pursuit of the expression of the truth of human emotion.

Gatsby’s death in the Great Gatsby is an allusion to the crucifixion. Gatsby gets an air mattress and “shoulders it”, like Jesus shoulders the cross. On his way to the pool Gatsby shifts the mattress, and the chauffeur asks him if he needed assistance. Gatsby shakes his head. The chauffeur is like Simon of Cyrene. When Gatsby is shot and killed, he dies on the mattress, like Jesus dies on the cross. The mixture of blood and water evokes the image of blood and water that flowed from Jesus’ side. Moreover, at the beginning of the Great Gatsby, Gatsby comes out of the pool with arms “outstretched in a peculiar manner”. The outstretched arms prefigures the crucifixion. In Isaiah, Isaiah refers to God “outstretched hand”. Church Fathers said that the outstretched arms was a reference to the crucifixion.

In Schumacher’s A Guide for the Perplexed, Schumacher introduces Four Great Truths. The four great truths are.
The world is a hierarchical structure with at least four 'levels of being'.
Human learning relates to four 'fields of knowledge'.
The 'Principle of Adequateness' determines human ability to accurately perceive the world.
The art of living requires an understanding of two types of problem: 'convergent' and 'divergent'.
Schumacher states that there are four fields of knowledge. The four fieldsd are
I → inner
other persons → I
I → other persons (inner)
I → the world

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fourth_Way
Fourth Way is an approach to self development given by George Gurdjieff. Gurdjieff said that there were three traditional schools/ ways, and he adds a transcendent fourth. The four ways are
Those of the mind- yogis
The Yogi works to obtain the same mastery of the attention (as before: 'self mastery') through struggle with [controlling] mental habits and capabilities.
Those of the body- fakirs-The Fakir works to obtain mastery of the attention (self-mastery) through struggles with [controlling] the physical body involving difficult physical exercises and postures.
Those of the emotions- monks-The Monk works to obtain the same mastery of the attention (self-mastery) through struggle with [controlling] the affections, in the domain, as we say, of the heart, which has been emphasized in the west, and come to be known as the way of faith due to its practice particularly in Catholicism.

Jung said that Socrates’s question on the missing fourth was in relation to the quaternity. The ancient philosopher Proclus analyzed Plato’s work, and said that when Socrates asked where the missing fourth friend was, Socrates was referring to the tetractys. Proclus said that the missing forth friend represented the fourth tier of the tetractys. Proclus said that the fourth tier is different from the previous three tiers.

Peirce says that there are four barriers to inquiry
Assertion of absolute certainty
maintaining that something is absolutely inexplicable because absolutely basic or ultimate
maintaining that something is absolutely unknowable
holding that perfect exactitude is possible, especially such as to quite preclude unusual and anomalous phenomena
Peirce also discusses the four incapacities
No power of Introspection. All knowledge of the internal world comes by hypothetical reasoning from known external facts.
No power of thinking without signs. A cognition must be interpreted in a subsequent cognition in order to be a cognition at all.
No power of Intuition (cognition without logical determination by previous cognitions). No cognitive stage is absolutely first in a process. All mental action has the form of inference.
No conception of the absolutely incognizable.

In The Fixation of Belief, Charles Sanders Peirce gives four methods of setting opinion. The four methods are
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Sanders_Peirce
The method of tenacity (policy of sticking to initial belief)
The method of the a priori — which promotes conformity less brutally but fosters opinions as something like tastes, arising in conversation and comparisons of perspectives in terms of "what is agreeable to reason."
The method of authority — which overcomes disagreements but sometimes brutally.
The method of science — wherein inquiry supposes that the real is discoverable but independent of particular opinion, such that, unlike in the other methods, inquiry can, by its own account, go wrong (fallibilism), not only right, and thus purposely tests itself and criticizes, corrects, and improves itself.
A quote from wikipedia is “Four essential elements[57][58][59] of the scientific method[60] are iterations,[61][62] recursions,[63] interleavings, or orderings of the following:”
Characterizations (observations,[64] definitions, and measurements of the subject of inquiry)
Predictions (reasoning including deductive reasoning[68] from the hypothesis or theory)
Hypotheses[65][66] (theoretical, hypothetical explanations of observations and measurements of the subject)[67]

Zeno is a philosopher who is famous for his four paradoxes of motion.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeno_of_Elea
http://mathworld.wolfram.com/ZenosParadoxes.html
1. Dichotomy paradox: Before an object can travel a given distance , it must travel a distance . In order to travel , it must travel , etc. Since this sequence goes on forever, it therefore appears that the distance cannot be traveled. The resolution of the paradox awaited calculus and the proof that infinite geometric series such as can converge, so that the infinite number of "half-steps" needed is balanced by the increasingly short amount of time needed to traverse the distances.
3. Arrow paradox: An arrow in flight has an instantaneous position at a given instant of time. At that instant, however, it is indistinguishable from a motionless arrow in the same position, so how is the motion of the arrow perceived?
4. Stade paradox: A paradox arising from the assumption that space and time can be divided only by a definite amount.
2. Achilles and the tortoise paradox: A fleet-of-foot Achilles is unable to catch a plodding tortoise which has been given a head start, since during the time it takes Achilles to catch up to a given position, the tortoise has moved forward some distance. But this is obviously fallacious since Achilles will clearly pass the tortoise! The resolution is similar to that of the dichotomy paradox.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt introduced the ideas of the four freedoms, which were four goals that he proposed in the 1941 State of the Union Address.
Freedom of speech
Freedom from want
Freedom of worship
Freedom from fear
Engraving of the Four Freedoms at the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial in Washington, D.C.
Roosevel’ts speech went as follows,
In the future days, which we seek to make secure, we look forward to a world founded upon four essential human freedoms.
The first is freedom of speech and expression—everywhere in the world.
The second is freedom of every person to worship God in his own way—everywhere in the world.
The third is freedom from want—which, translated into world terms, means economic understandings which will secure to every nation a healthy peacetime life for its inhabitants—everywhere in the world.
The fourth is freedom from fear—which, translated into world terms, means a world-wide reduction of armaments to such a point and in such a thorough fashion that no nation will be in a position to commit an act of physical aggression against any neighbor—anywhere in the world.
That is no vision of a distant millennium. It is a definite basis for a kind of world attainable in our own time and generation. That kind of world is the very antithesis of the so-called new order of tyranny which the dictators seek to create with the crash of a bomb.

Quadrant Book 4 from 2016
The Quadrant Model of Reality is a theory of intelligent design, stating that existence derives from a quadrant pattern. Nature, which is a metaphor of True Reality, organizes itself according to this pattern. Plato said that reality reflects “The Form of the Good”. Plato saw the Form of the Good as God. I argue that the Form of the Good is the cross.
Each square of the quadrant model adds new elements to the squares before it, yet contains all elements of preceding squares. Thus the quadrant model is a holistic model. Each square proceeds from one to the next.
This pattern expresses itself in nineteen squares consisting of four quadrants and three squares outside the quadrants. The first square in each quadrant is typically somewhat weird and conservative, having a sort of “loner” quality. It always engages in a duality with the second—while appearing to be opposites the two are intricately linked. The second square in each quadrant is more normal and homeostatic, maintaining order and structure, keeping things clean and organized. The first square is creation. The second square is the sustaining of the creation. The third square, the doing quadrant, is the most physical and solid. The third square is destructive and has the connotation of being bad. The third square is also related to spontaneity. After the first square of creation and the second square of sustaining, there is then a third square of movement which breaks out of the sustaining. The fourth square is strange and does not seem to belong with the previous three. The fourth square seems a lot different from the previous three, transcending them. However, it has elements of the previous three squares, thus containing them. The fourth also has the connotation of being mental, like the first square. The fourth square is transformation and death. The fourth square also points to a fifth square. The fifth square becomes a new quadrant.  The fourth square is transcendent, and the fifth is ultra transcendent. Therefore the qualities of the fourth square point to the qualities of the fifth. But the first four squares are connected and interlinked, but the fifth square is ultra transcendent and beyond the first four. The fifth does not affiliate with the first four, but becomes a new quadrant.
The quadrant model is essentially a meta theory of intelligent design. The theory states that existence derives from a pattern called the quadrant model pattern. In the pattern there are 19 squares. The 19 squares are 4 quadrants and three squares outside of the quadrants.
The first quadrant is the first four squares. The first four squares are sensation, perception, response and awareness. Awareness encompasses sensation, perception, and response. The fourth square always encompasses the previous three. Yet Awareness also points to what comes after it belief. The fourth square always points to a fifth square. The fifth square becomes its own quadrant.
You are aware of your sensations, perceptions, and responses. That is why awareness involves the previous three squares. Your awareness is solidified into beliefs. Beliefs are the first square of the second quadrant. The second quadrant is belief, faith, behavior, and belonging. You have a lot of awareness, and your awareness is cemented into beliefs.
Belonging is the fourth square of the second quadrant. You belong based on if you have the correct beliefs, faith, and behavior. But also the group you belong to affects your belifs, faith, and behavior. So belonging is separate from the previous three, yet engulfs them. The fourth square is always separate from the previous three squares, yet entails envelopes them.
Belonging points to the fifth square thinking. Thinking is the first square of the third quadrant, the ninth square all together. The group you belong to affects your thoughts. So belonging contains everything before it, and points to what comes after it, thoughts. The third quadrant is thinking, emotion, doing and dreaming. When you dream, you think, have emotions and do. So dreaming encompasses the previous three squares. But dreaming also transcends them. The fourth square always transcends the previous three squares. When you dream you are paralyzed and separated from your body. Your body is paralyzed so you don’t act out your dreams. So you do things in dreams, but not physically. So dreaming kind of represents a transcendence of the body.
Dreaming points to the square that comes after it, contemplation. When you contemplate you see the oneness of things and you focus on things that are beyond rational resolution. Contemplation kind of represents a transcendence of the body, which dreaming points to. So dreaming contains the squares before it, yet it indicates the quality of the square that comes after it, contemplation. The fourth quadrant is contemplation, passion, flowing and knowing.
The fifth quadrant, which transcends the four previous quadrants, is being, non being, and becoming. Being is God.
In the book the Quadrant Model of Reality I am going to show how the pattern of the quadrant model is how nature organizes itself. Nature organizes itself in quadrants. For instance, the standard model of particle physics is organized into four quadrants. In the quadrant there is always a duality. The first square is weird and conservative. The second square is normal and homeostasis and conservative the third square is destructive and solid. The fourth square is transcendent and strange and doesn’t seem to belong to the previous three, yet contains elements of the previous three. The planets are organized by the quadrant model pattern. Mercury is the sensation planet, Venus is the perceptions planet, Earth is the response planet, mars is the awareness planet, Jupiter is the belief planet, Saturn is the faith planet and so on so forth. Things are organized in the quadrant model in squares, and the squares possess certain qualities. The quadrant model pattern is the framework by which existence is organized.

There are four laws of thermodynamics, although it is often thought that there are three.
http://birthmoviesdeath.com/2017/07/23/robocop-at-30
Zeroth law of thermodynamics: If two systems are in thermal equilibrium with a third system, they are in thermal equilibrium with each other. This law helps define the concept of temperature.
Second law of thermodynamics: In a natural thermodynamic process, the sum of the entropies of the interacting thermodynamic systems increases. Equivalently, perpetual motion machines of the second kind (machines that spontaneously convert thermal energy into mechanical work) are impossible.
First law of thermodynamics: When energy passes, as work, as heat, or with matter, into or out from a system, the system's internal energy changes in accord with the law of conservation of energy. Equivalently, perpetual motion machines of the first kind (machines that produce work with no energy input) are impossible.
Third law of thermodynamics: The entropy of a system approaches a constant value as the temperature approaches absolute zero.[2] With the exception of non-crystalline solids (glasses) the entropy of a system at absolute zero is typically close to zero, and is equal to the natural logarithm of the product of the quantum ground states.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three-stage-to-orbit
Three stages to orbit rockets are common. But sometimes a fourth transcendent stage is added to rockets. Again, we see the three/four dynamic.
Examples are Ariane 1 (four stages), PSLV (four stages), Proton (optional fourth stage), Minotaur IV (four stages). For the Proton the fourth stage is optional. The fourth square is always different. The Minotaur IV also has a variant that uses a Star 48-V engine. With the Star 48-V engine, the fourth stage again is optional. The fourth is always different.

There is a concept in chaos theory called bifurcations. At four bifurcations, things get weird. But at five bifurcations there is chaos. I discussed that the Aztecs saw the number five as excess. The aztecs had groups of Gods that were in groups of five. The Gods that were in groups of five connoted excess and superfluousness.

James Cossar Ewart postulated three primitive horse types. Elwyn Hartley Edwards added a transcendent fourth type of horse to these, the tundra horse. Again we notice the predicament between three and four. The four primitive types of horse postulated were
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_horse_domestication_theories
"Forest Horse", Equus caballus germanicus, descendant of a "Diluvial Horse", Equus caballus silvaticus
Tarpan, then considered Equus caballus gmelini.
Asiatic Wild Horse or Przewalski horse, then considered Equus caballus przewalskii
"Tundra Horse", supposedly ancestor of the Yakut pony, and "largely unconsidered by hippologists"
European scholars such as Jimmy Speed, Roy d’Andrade, Hermann Ebhardt, and Edward Skorkowski postulated four basic body types of horses. The four body types were
Pony Type 1, in northwestern Europe, resistant to cold and wet, similar to the modern Exmoor pony
Horse Type 1, in central Asia, resistant to heat and drought, similar to the modern Sorraia and Akhal-Teke
Pony Type 2, in northern Eurasia, larger than type 1, resistant to cold, similar to the modern Highland pony and Fjord horse
Horse Type 2, in western Asia, small and fine-boned, resistant to heat, similar to the modern Caspian horse.
American paleontologist Deb Bennett believed that four subspecies of horse contributed most to the modern horse. The four subspecies were
"Warmblood subspecies", Equus caballus mosbachensis, the oldest hypothetical subspecies, supposedly ancestor of the Latvian horse, Groningen horse and some warmblood breeds.[2]
"Oriental subspecies", Equus caballus pumpelli, adapted to arid climates, thought to be the progenitor of the modern Arabian horse, Plateau Persian and Marwari horse.[2][3]
"Draft subspecies", Equus caballus caballus, ancestor of the Exmoor Pony, Shetland pony, Suffolk Punch and Belgian horse.[2]
"Tarpan", Equus caballus gmelini[9] or Equus caballus ferus, supposed ancestor of Przewalski's Horse as well as the Konik, Vyatka horse, Hucul and most Mongolian horses.[2]

Abraham Maslow is known for his hierarchy of five needs. However, the needs are divided as a four plus one. There are four deficiency needs that a person needs to fulfill. The top level, self actualization, is a growth/being need. The fourth is transcendent, and the fifth is ultra transcendent.  In order to go beyond the first four needs, a person must have all four of those needs met. Really Maslow’s hierarchy is a four plus four.
In Maslow’s model there are four deficiency needs and four growth needs.

I studied a teaching company course on Economics, and the professor discussed the four ps of the marketing mix.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marketing_mix
The 4Ps have been the cornerstone of the managerial approach to marketing since the 1960s
Product refers to what the business offers for sale and may include products or services. Product decisions include the "quality, features, benefits, style, design, branding, packaging, services, warranties, guarantees, life cycles, investments and returns".[23]
Place is defined as the "direct or indirect channels to market, geographical distribution, territorial coverage, retail outlet, market location, catalogues, inventory, logistics and order fulfilment". Place refers either to the physical location where a business carries out business or the distribution channels used to reach markets. Place may refer to a retail outlet, but increasingly refers to virtual stores such as "a mail order catalogue, a telephone call centre or a website".[23]
Price refers to decisions surrounding "list pricing, discount pricing, special offer pricing, credit payment or credit terms". Price refers to the total cost to customer to acquire the product, and may involve both monetary and psychological costs such as the time and effort expended in acquisition.[23]
Promotion refers to "the marketing communication used to make the offer known to potential customers and persuade them to investigate it further".[23] Promotion elements include "advertising, public relations, direct selling and sales promotions.

Bodh Gaya: (in the current Mahabodhi Temple, Bihar, India), is the most important religious site and place of pilgrimage, the Mahabodhi Temple houses what is believed to be the Bodhi Tree where the Buddha realized enlightenment and Buddhahood.
Sarnath: (formally Isipathana,Uttar pradesh, India) where Gautama Buddha delivered his first teaching.
Lumbini: birthplace of Gautama Buddha (in Nepal)
Kuśinagara: (now Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, India) where Gautama Buddha died and attained Parinirvana.

In Buddhism there are the four right assertions. The four right assertions are
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_Right_Exertions
In the Pali Canon, the four exertions are
Restraint (saṃvara padhāna) of the senses.
Cultivation (bhāvanā padhāna) of Enlightenment Factors.
Abandonment (pahāna padhāna) of defilements.
Preservation (anurakkhaṇā padhāna) of concentration, for instance, using charnel-ground contemplations.[15]
In Buddhism there are four Great elements. Great elements are called mahabhuta. The four great elements are
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahābhūta
Air (or wind) element (vāyu-dhātu)
Air element represents the quality of expansion or repulsive forces. Any matter where repulsive forces are in prominence are called air elements. Internal air elements includes air associated with the pulmonary system (for example, for breathing), the intestinal system ("winds in the belly and ... bowels"), etc.
Earth element (pruṭhavī-dhātu)
Earth element represents the quality of solidity or attractive forces. Any matter where attractive forces are in prominence (solid bodies) are called earth elements. Internal earth elements include head hair, body hair, nails, teeth, skin, flesh, sinews, bone, organs, intestinal material, etc.[9]
Water (or liquid) element (āpa-dhātu)
Water element represents the quality of Liquidity or relative motion. Any matter where relative motion of particles is in prominence are called water elements. Internal water elements include bile, phlegm, pus, blood, sweat, fat, tears, nasal mucus, urine, etc.[10]
Fire element (teja-dhātu)
Fire element represents the quality of heat or energy. Any matter where energy is in prominence are called fire elements. Internal fire elements include those bodily mechanisms that produce physical warmth, ageing, digestion, etc.
Catuskoti is a logical argument of four discrete functions used in Dharmic traditions of Indian logic, the Buddhist logico-epistemological traditions, particularly those of the Madhyamaka school, and in the skeptical Greek philosophy of Pyrrhonism.
The four cornered system of argumentation has four possibilities of proposition
P; that is, being.
P and not P; that is, being and not being.
not P; that is, not being.
not (P or not P); that is, neither being nor not being.
The four Extremes in Buddhism is an example of catuskoti. The four extremes model is thought to have come from Nagarjuna. The four extremes are
All things (dharmas) exist: affirmation of being, negation of nonbeing
All things (dharmas) both exist and do not exist: both affirmation and negation
All things (dharmas) do not exist: affirmation of nonbeing, negation of being
All things (dharmas) neither exist nor do not exist: neither affirmation nor negation
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catuṣkoṭi
A Mantrayana analysis of the Four Extremes/Four limits is as follows
the Hedonist' or 'Chalpas' Tibetan: ཕྱལ་པ, Wylie: phyal pa: does not perceive, ascribe to the view or realize that all events, dharmas, etc. have a cause and an effect;
the 'Nihilist' or 'Murthugpas' Tibetan: མུར་ཐུག་པ, Wylie: mur thug pa: holds that there is no causality or causal relationship between events and dharmas. They are of the view that everything is adventitiously arisen due to chance and events and that dharmas dissipate and vanish into the void. Death is the ultimate cessation and there is no continuity between lives; and
the 'Atheist' or 'Gyangphenpas' Tibetan: རྒྱང་འཕེན་པ, Wylie: rgyang 'phen pa: unable to see or perceive past and future lives, the atheist toils for wealth and power in this lifetime alone. They engage in intrigue;
the Eternalist' or 'Mutegpas' Tibetan: མུ་སྟེགས་པ, Wylie: mu stegs pa: holds to the view of an eternal, unchanging 'atman', where atman is often rendered as 'soul' in English. There is considerable diversity of the mechanics of causality with proponents of this view. Some perceive the atman as having a cause but not effect, an effect but no cause, or indeed a complex causality or causal relationship.
Huayan teaches the Four Dharmadhatu. The four dharmadhatu are the four ways to view reality
All dharmas are seen as particular separate events;
Events and essence interpenetrate;
All events are an expression of the absolute;
All events interpenetrate.

The beatitudes of Jesus consist of four blessings and four woes
The beatitudes in Luke are
Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.
Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.
Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled.
Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.
The four woes in Luke are
Woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort.
Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep.
Woe to you who are well fed now, for you will go hungry.
Woe to you when everyone speaks well of you, for that is how their ancestors treated the false prophets.
Jesus Farewell Discourse has four components
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farewell_Discourse#Part_3:_If_the_world_hates_you
First discourse: 14:1-31, The theme of this part is departure and return; peace and joy, and is similar to the third discourse. Jesus states that he will be going to the Father, but will send the "Comforter" for the disciples
Third discourse: 15:18-16:33. This section again deals with Jesus' departure and the Comforter which will come to the disciples; and contrasts Jesus' love with the world's hatred.
Second discourse: 15:1-17. This part is also called the Vine and deals with Jesus' love and how Jesus is the source of life for the community. At the end of this, it leads to the discussion of the world's hatred in the next section.
The "Farewell Prayer": 17:1-26. Here Jesus submits five specific petitions to the Father as he prays for his disciples and the community of followers.[6]
While most scholars use the four part discourse, some scholars divide the discourse into three parts, leaving out the fourth and adding onto the third. The fourth is always different and does not seem to belong.

In Genesis Abraham is supposed to sacrifice his son Isaac. Isaac carries the wood for his sacrifice. The wood was meant for burning of the lamb, for the sacrifice of the lamb. Jesus carried the wood for his sacrifice. The carrying of wood is an allusion to the carrying of the cross. The cross is the quadrant.

Justin Martyr said that the Israelites offered the sacrificial lamb in the form of a cross. A cross is a quadrant.
http://www.newadvent.org/fathers/0126.htm
Justin Martyr says that many things in reality take on the shape of the cross. He believes that the preponderance of things in reality with a cruciform reflection points to the power of God, because Justin Martyr sees the cross as a glorious sign. For instance, Justin Martyr says that diggers and farmers use tools that resemble the shape of the cross. Justin Martyr even says that the human face resembles the form of the cross. He says
And the human form differs from that of the irrational animals in nothing else than in its being erect and having the hands extended, and having on the face extending from the forehead what is called the nose, through which there is respiration for the living creature; and this shows no other form than that of the cross. And so it was said by the prophet, The breath before our face is the Lord Christ.
Justin Martyr said that the banners and the trophies of the Romans resembled crosses, and he said the form of the cross consecrated the emperors when they died.
Drawing in Justus Lipsius, De cruce. Justin Martyr: "…being erect and having the hands extended…shows no other form than that of the cross"
Drawing in Justus Lipsius, De cruce. Justin Martyr: "that trophy which is called a sail abide safe in the ship"
Justus Lipsius, De cruce: military standard (cf. Minucius Felix)
Justus Lipsius, De cruce. Minucius Felix: "ships…with swelling sails…with expanded oars"
Marcus Minucius Felix told the pagans that the standards and trophies that they worship are crosses
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instrument_of_Jesus%27_crucifixion
"Crosses, moreover, we neither worship nor wish for. You, indeed, who consecrate gods of wood, adore wooden crosses perhaps as parts of your gods. For your very standards,[78] as well as your banners; and flags of your camp, what else are they but crosses gilded and adorned? Your victorious trophies not only imitate the appearance of a simple cross, but also that of a man affixed to it. We assuredly see the sign of a cross, naturally, in the ship when it is carried along with swelling sails, when it glides forward with expanded oars; and when the military yoke is lifted up, it is the sign of a cross; and when a man adores God with a pure mind, with hands outstretched. Thus the sign of the cross either is sustained by a natural reason, or your own religion is formed with respect to it."
Tertullian also responded to pagans making fun of Christians for worshipping a man on a cross by telling the pagans that the idols of the gods that they worship are cruciform as well.

In the Psalm David says, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?". Jesus on the cross says the same words. Also David describes himself as "a worm", "a reproach of men, and despised of the people". David is on the run for his life and he sees himself as a reproach of men and persecuted. Similarly Jesus was perceived as a reproach of men and was crucified.

Esteemed rabbis have argued that the reason why there is 22 letters in the hebrew alphabet is 22 is made up of the numbers two and two. The rabbis say that two plus two is four, and four is the letters of the tetragrammaton, so that is why there are 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet.

The word Kike comes from the word the yiddish word kikeleh, which means little circle. Jews who arrived from Europe to Ellis Island were supposed to sign their names on entry forms. Jews who were illiterate were supposed to write X’s, but a lot of those Jews refused to write X’s because it looked similar to the cross. Instead, these Jews wrote circles. The Jews were called little circles, kikels. As a result, the slang term kike emerged.

6 Then the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared to sound them.
7 The first angel sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled down on the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.
8 The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned into blood, 9 a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.
10 The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water— 11 the name of the star is Wormwood.[a] A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.
12 The fourth angel sounded his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them turned dark. A third of the day was without light, and also a third of the night.
13 As I watched, I heard an eagle that was flying in midair call out in a loud voice: “Woe! Woe! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the trumpet blasts about to be sounded by the other three angels!”
Notice how after the fourth angel there is an interlude. The first four trumpets are separated from the last three, creating a four plus three pattern. Again, the number four is presented as dominant. Other numbers are mentioned when four is dominant.

The instrumentality of an action refers to whether the instrument of the action was: the body, as in physical actions; one's speech, as in speech acts; or the mind, as in thoughtful deliberation.
The modality of an action refers to different modes in which one can participate in an action, for example: being the one who carries out the act itself; being one who instigates another to perform the act; or being one who gives permission, approval or endorsement of an act.
The process of an action refers to the temporal sequence in which it occurs: the decision to act, plans to facilitate the act, making preparations necessary for the act, and ultimately the carrying through of the act itself.
The motivation for an action refers to the internal passions or negative emotions that prompt the act, including: anger, greed, pride, deceit and so on.

Heavenly gods (thiên thần) and nature gods (nhiên thần) of grottoes, rocks and trees, rivers and oceans, rain and lightning, generative or regenerative powers of the cosmos or a locality, with geo-physical or anthropomorphic representations (sometimes using iconographic styles of Buddhist derivation).
Various hierarchical or court-like pantheons inherited from the Taoist patterns, headed by the Heavenly Emperors, the immortals (tiên), the holy sages (thánh), including the local "divine ensembles" (chư vị). They are mostly Vietnamese formations, but often with sinicised motifs.
Tutelary gods or deified ancestors or progenitors (nhân thần), originally either consecrated by villagers or installed by the Vietnamese or Chinese rulers. They include heroes, founding patriarchs, able men and founders of arts and crafts. This category can include impure spirits (dâm thần).
Deities of Cham, Khmer, and other Southeast Asian ethnic origin, such as Po Yan Inu Nagar(Thiên Y A Na), Ca Ong the whale god, and the rocks Neak Ta (Ong Ta).
