Firas and his sister are two medical students from Gaza, who are currently studying in Egypt. Due to the ongoing genocide, their father have lost his source of income and is unable to pay for his children's education. Firas and his sister are currently raising money to pay their university fees (they have time for that until 1st August) and evacuate their family to safety.

Unfortunately, the donations are coming in very slowly, as the funds raised are not even half of the required amount. However, there is still time and if we would do everything we possibly can, there is a chance of reaching the goal! The Gofundme is very close to $4,000 CAD which is already a step forward. There's only $267 CAD left. It is very achievable!!

Thursday, July 20th: Hello everyone, I’m Gemma, a bi, mentally ill, and disabled woman in desperate need of help, as I'm still struggling to keep my utilities on and pay off my overdrawn account!!

As most of you are already aware from my previous posts, I have been struggling financially these past few years due to Covid-19 and my welfare benefit (Universal Credit) being under continuous reviews, which is due to my worsening mental/physical health and the UK’s controversial changes to how benefits are assessed and assigned. After a lengthy health assessment, I have been declared not to be fit for work. However, I am still waiting for the outcome of my Adult Disability application, which I applied for back in January.

I know this is a difficult time for everyone, and I'm so sorry to be asking for help again, but I still desperately need some as my PayPal is overdrawn due to charge-backs and I don't receive my welfare until the 31st, which isn't enough to cover my overdue rent + utility bills and I'm still struggling to get groceries.

so my remaining ceramics classes for a month is…$75 dollars ($25 per class, 4 classes a month equals $100 but i already paid for my first) and the tools and stuff to practice at home are around…$133… which is a total of $208 which I won’t have after paying for my meds, pet food and rent…ugh…learning things is expensive but i really wanna do this. i start my first class next week but I only paid for the first class…you know what fuck it.
