Probably my favourite thing from the fandom is the Discord server, which is such a fun place to be, not only for 911 talk, but because there's some great people there who are great to talk with about everything else, too!

Metal honest to god begging Blackburn (they both like that, but they're not figuring out exactly why or exactly how much quote yet) to be allowed to be the one who gets to tell Jason that Omar is going to be joining the team. He does it so well that Blackburn almost gives in, in fact, but he does eventually agree to at least let Metal be in the room. In fact, Metal being there, with that big stupid grin on his face is what lets the team know that something is about to happen.

Metal watching Clay absolutely not handle what happened to him and knowing that that's what he was like a year ago and it makes him want to apologise to Blackburn everyone. Not that I'm saying he should apologise for struggling with losing his career like that, but that he should apologise for all the times he was an asshole to all the people who loved him and were trying to help.

Metal being there for the episode in the cabin would be glorious. The rest of the boys thinking they're going out there on a hunt for hidden treasure because Metal could tell them the truth, but this is so much funnier. Still seeing some of his art, but there's also some of it that he makes sure to keep hidden from them. But the most important thing is that if Metal is there, then when Trent effectively said "Yeah, I thought about killing myself", he could have actually addressed that and not so what happened in canon (basically everyone else hearing that and still going "Anyway, back to Clay"). And there's a lot of room for emotion and angst there.

And those are the big ones I really wanted to get in there before starting on how things are around Clay dying.

New Metalburn idea that hit this week

Season 4 au where Metal doesn't die (but the rest of canon proceeds as is so Clay does die eventually, but Omar and Drew will both turn up), but operating is no longer feasible so he takes a job in Ops instead (i.e that job Jason tried to do in season 4) because the idea won't even work if he's not still close.

Also, it's going to be a bit of a slow burn (for them), which should be fun (for me).
