NCIS NASCAR AU because I can and it's my fave sport 🤭

I'm just gonna do some of the OG NCIS for now.

Drivers:

Anthony "Turbo" Dinozzo- Not quite a rookie, not quite a veteran. Known for being a hothead and getting into fights. Nicknamed Turbo because an announcer that it would be funny to say Turbo Dinozzo. He embraced it. Had merch made, it sold out. Runs for Leroy Gibbs Racing. Has a love interest on the track.

E. J "Honeybee" Barrett- Came to NASCAR from F1 racing. Everyone thought she'd have a hard time adjusting but she's never done worse than 12th without being crashed out. Called Honeybee because she looks sweet but she'll sting if you get in her way. Has been seen with Tony outside the track but nothing is confirmed. She drives for Sheppard Racing.

Michelle "Third Place" Lee- Known for having finished third place in multiple races in a row, multiple times. She's never won and that lights a fire under her. Stopped racing due to family problems. Was suspected of trying to get car data to a rival team's spotter.

Emily "Sunshine" Fornell- Youngest Woman to ever compete. Get her love of racing for her Dad and her Uncle. Has a sponsor whose logo has a big sun on the hood of her car. Hot pink driver suit. If the sun hits her car just right her car almost blinds her fellow competitors. She uses that to her advantage. Her dad is her crew chief.

Crew Chiefs:

Leon "Box-out" Vance- Competed for over a decade until the birth of his kids. Became a crew chief and has won multiple championships as crew chief for multiple drivers over the years. Currently crew chief for E.J. Nicknamed Box-out because he boxed in college before taking up racing.

Leroy "The Jet" Gibbs- Completed well into his 50s until he was sidelined by an injury in a boating accident (heh.) Was called the jet because of all the speed records he broke on multiple tracks. Now owns a one-car team AND is crew chief.

Tobias Fornell- Was never a racer but is passionate about the sport. His daughter is who he is crew chief for. His blood pressure is through the roof every Sunday.

Data Analysts:

Timothy McGee- Analyst for E.J's team. So good with stats Vance and E.J rarely question what he suggests to them. Despite being part of a rival team is best friends with Tony off-track.

Abby Sciuto- Analyst for Tony's team. Gets so into it on the radio Gibbs has to sometimes mute her mic to hear Tony. Makes snacks for the entire team pre-race.

Spotters:

Ducky Mallard- The oldest spotter on the rooftop. Despite it being over 90 degrees he's always seen wearing a suit and tie. Spotter for Tony's team. Sometimes he's the buffer between Tony and Gibbs.

Jimmy Palmer- Is known for never swearing on the radio. Still polite even if yelled at by his driver. When asked to sub for E.J once he was hesitant but he went out and almost won before being crashed out by Tony.

Other team members:

Ziva David- Works at the shop for Leroy Gibbs Racing. She Is their best mechanic. When they bring a wrecked car back to the shop she has to leave and scream for ten minutes before coming back inside and getting to work. Tony flirts with her while he's at the shop, but nothing serious has ever come of it.

Ned Dorneget- A data analyst, but he stays back at the shop. Has only been out to the track a handful of times and each time he has to be dragged there. Would rather do the analytics from his laptop in the shop. He's been shuffled to a few teams but is currently working with E.J and Vance. There are rumors he may be switching to Leroy Gibbs Racing next season.

Okay, that got longer than I anticipated but...I'm glad I finally put my thoughts out there! I've thought about this au for a while since they're both things I love. Let me know what you think!!!! I will probably do a more recent NCIS version someday. Maybe a NOLA one. We'll see!

A New Years Kiss (Alden Parker x Reader)

•• I pumped this out in about half an hour last night. Enjoy and Happy New Year! 🎆 ••

You had drunk a fair amount of champagne by the time you started to feel colors and see shapes. Or- wait. That was supposed to be the other way around

“You okay, (y/n)?” You were slow to turn to Alden. He noticed and took the empty glass from your hand. “I think I better cut you off.” You giggled.

“Probably a good idea.” He smiled before heading out to the kitchen.

“Hey guys! The ball’s about to drop!” Nick said from in front of the TV.

“It'd be nice if we could see it!” You slur out and he laughed, stepping out of the way.

“Man, (y/n), I didn't take you for a lightweight!”

“You’re not driving tonight, right?” You shook your head.

“Nope! I Ubered.” Jessica's shoulders relaxed a little. You leaned up against the back of the couch and watched the people on TV begin the countdown. You put your hand on your chin. It would be nice to kiss someone when the ball dropped. You'd never done it. Alden leaned on the back of his couch beside you. You nudged him with an elbow. “Thanks for the invite, Alden.”

“Of course. Can't have you spending New Year's Eve in a new city all by yourself. It might not be as bustling as LA but D.C. has its perks.” You nodded. You'd only been here a month and you were already starting to figure that out. “What's got you thinking all of a sudden?” The clock on the TV said one minute to midnight. You chuckle.

“It's stupid.”

“Don't sell yourself short. Come on.” You met his gaze and bit your lip. Could you really ask Alden to do this?

“I was just thinking about how I’ve never done a New Year's Eve kiss.” He blinked before smirking.

“Really?” Thirty seconds. He turned away, running a hand through his hair before stammering. “W-would you want to do one with me?” You would have stumbled back if you weren't leaning on the couch. “Only if you want to! I'm not trying to force you or anything like that-” Ten seconds. Your eyes flashed between the timer and Alden’s lips before you saw Zero and then pushed off the couch and fell into him. Literally. You fell into him. Your lips met his and so did the rest of you. Alden was quick to catch you and keep you on your feet before returning the haphazard kiss you were giving him.

“Daaaaaamn,” Nick said and Jessica shushed him. Alden pulled you in closer and you obliged. You didn't know if it was Alden or the champagne, but if this was what a New Year's Eve kiss was like, you hoped you'd be having the same kiss with Alden next year, but maybe as something more.

A Perfect Thanksgiving (Jenny Shepard x Reader)

"Are You sure this is Ducky's house? It seems so-"

"Extravagant?" Jenny chided as she stepped out of the car.

"Yeah, how'd he get so many lights up?" You followed suit, grabbing the potato casserole you'd both made from the backseat.

"I'm sure his neighbors helped." Jenny didn't bother knocking on the door and headed straight inside. Ducky's house was just as beautifully decorated on the inside as well. You heard the quick shuffling of feet come from a hallway.

"Ah Jenny, (Y/n)! You're right on time!" He stood there for a moment, just smiling sweetly as he did. You smiled back at him until he realized how long he'd been standing there. "Oh dear, where are my manners? Here, I'll take your dish, my dear." He took the casserole from your hands and headed back down the hallway. "Come, come, everyone is waiting!" You chuckled as you followed straight behind him.

"Everyone? You mean Jethro decided to come?" When he didn't reply right away, you figured he must not have shown.

"N-no. At least, not yet. You know how traffic is on Thanksgiving." You cringed at the emotion in Ducky's voice. It was really hurting him Jethro wasn't there to celebrate with the rest of his NCIS family. That just made your blood boil. You smiled as you entered Ducky's dining room. Everyone smiled as you and Jenny walked in behind Ducky. Abby gasped and stood up from her seat.

"(Y/n), I LOVE your jacket!"

"Oh!" You blushed looking down at it. "Thanks, Abby. Uh, I'll be right back, I forgot something in the car." Jenny stopped you as you went to walk past her.

"We didn't bring anything else?"

"I have to make a call." She smiled and nodded.

"Go. I hope you convince him to come." You went back outside and stood beside Jenny's car and pulled out your cellphone. Your thumb hovered angrily over Jethro's contact before you finally pressed his name and put the phone up to your ear.

Ring.

Ring.

Ring.

"Gibbs."

"How dare you not show up at Ducky's Thanksgiving dinner!" You started ripping into him, no mercy.

"(Y/n)-"

"No, I'm gonna talk and you're gonna listen. I don't care if you fire me after this." You took in a deep breath, you could feel your blood pressure rising. "Ducky planned this get together for at least a month, and we all know how much this means to him, and you didn't even have the gall to show up, Jethro. He loves you, Tony loves you, Ziva loves you, Abby loves you, I love you, and god knows Jenny loves you too. You don't have to be alone on days like this Jethro, you have a family. You just have to look past your fucking pride and see what's god damn right in front of you day in and day out!" By the end, you were screaming and tears were streaming down your face.

"(Y/n), I'm about to pull into the driveway." You looked up at the Dodge charger as it came down. Jethro stepped out of the car. You both stared at each other for a moment before he used both of his hands to wipe the tears from your face.

"I'm always there when it counts." He smiled and you laughed.

"Jesus, Jethro. I really thought you weren't coming."

"Come on, like I'd bail on the duck man?" He opened the trunk and pulled out a paper bag. "Besides he asked me to pick up rolls, unfortunately, they were out, so I had to improvise." You both headed to the house.

"So, what'd you get instead?"

"Something edible." You rolled your eyes, leading him to the dining room when Ducky didn't come running. You stood in the doorway with a big smile.

"Everyone, look who I found outside!" You stepped out of the way and everyone cheered.

"Jethro! You brought the rolls!" Ducky clapped as Gibbs dumped the contents of the bag into the breadbasket.

"Not much out there Duck." You laughed at the chip bags that now occupied the basket. Everyone sat down as Ducky began a prayer and said grace, everyone ate until they couldn't anymore, and you all retired to Ducky's living room to watch the football game. You'd never wanted to pause a moment so badly. This was what a family was like, and you wanted to keep it like this for as long as you could.

A DiNozzo Surprise (Anthony DiNozzo x Reader)

•• Hello, hello! I wrote something real quick for my birthday today! Enjoy! ••

“Make way! Special delivery coming through!” You turned your attention from the case report you were typing up towards the elevator, where Tony was pushing a cart with a large pink box on top. You wondered what it was before you froze, remembering what today was.

“Oh my god.” You said as Tony turned into the bullpen. “Tony, you didn’t.” He smirked.

“What? Did you forget your birthday?” He said it jokingly, but after seeing your face he blinked. “Seriously?”

“It’s been a busy week!” You stressed before leaning back. “I can’t believe I forgot!” You sighed. “At least somebody remembered.”

“Not just me, (y/n).” He put two fingers in his mouth and whistled. You cringed at the sharpness of it. You jumped out of your chair as confetti cannons went off on each side of the bullpen before Ellie and Tim stood up.

“Happy Birthday!”

“As a fellow woman, I won’t ask how old you are.” Ellie winked and you smiled.

“Thanks, I appreciate that.”

“I know how old you are.” Tony cooed.

“Yes,” You started, coming around your desk and taking Tony by the tie. “You do. But, if you want any chance of having some fun later, you’re not going to share that.” He growled.

“Oh. Feisty today, are we?” You leaned in closer.

“You could say that.” You pecked him on the lips. “Thank you, Tony.”

“I couldn’t just let you NOT celebrate! It would go against the DiNozzo way!”

“The DiNozzo way?” Ellie chided as you stepped back from Tony.

“Yes, the DiNozzo way!” Tony acted like he pulled out a sword from his hip. “A DiNozzo never misses an opportunity to party!” You laughed. Knowing Tony, and knowing his dad, that was a true statement.

"Dinozzo." The three of you jumped at Gibb's sudden appearance at the other side of the bullpen. "You plan on cutting that cake today or what?"

"Right on it, Boss." Tony opened the box and started taking out already pre-cut pieces. A hand squeezed your shoulder and you looked up at Gibbs. He smiled down at you.

"Happy Birthday, (Y/n)."

"Thanks, Boss."

ok i thought about the ncis origins trailer like all day so im slipping on my old hyperfixation shoes and talking about it idc who is interested

this shot of a bloody knuckle with the wedding band and drop of blood was ummm earth shattering actually, this is why i said the trailer didn't look like shit bc some of the shots are SOO good

i'm seeing some characters who weren't fed five and while not surprising, it is a little sad for the turbo nerds like me who enjoyed that little bit of world building. so far its only mike and gibbs.

*looks around* "where's my gear?" glad to see gibbs is just a dumb and hot as he was in the ncis flashbacks

btw the casting for young gibbs is also pretty good. would've LOVED to have mark harmon's son play him like in the og show but im not mad at who they chose. he is giving the chad wojak a little but im down with it.
