Wanted to repost bc I full heartedly agree

Friendly reminder that fan-made content (fanart, fanfic, fanvids, etc) are:

extremely time consuming. Remember someone actually took time out of their life to create that, time they could’ve used to, idk, sleep, for example

entertainment you’re consuming for free. I can’t stress this enough: you’re enjoying someone else’s craft for free. You paid exactly zero money to look at/read/watch it.

S H A R E D  with you, not made for you. This is the most important point: someone created that, put it online and you found it. No one forced you to consume that fanwork, you C H O S E  to do it. 

Whenever you feel like leaving a mean comment, anonymous hate or make a ~clever post about how ‘lol look at all of these overused tropes every fic writer crams into their fics’ remember you’re being a dick to someone who shared their work with you. You’re not being funny, you’re not being edgy, you’re not being brave for calling something out - you’re being a dick.

ok but some people are really born with some Karen or Chad DNA out here bc that's a whole ‘nother type of being... 

people slipping up and saying shit like “biological name” instead of “deadname” is more or less proof these people don’t actually care about real science they just want smart sounding words and i guarantee if we could manipulate chromosomes they’d abandon all pretext of science and start yammering about how people are born with a “masculine/feminine essence” that “cant be changed” like none of these people actually know the chromosomes real fuckin function and they dont care they just know they cant be changed

I drew ✨ Indila ✨ with the help of my art teacher (she’s amazing) teaching me some tricks since I’m not well acquainted with realistic art. I think I did pretty well for my first time really trying it out! :D I want to expand this skill tho since it’s pretty fun to do. Btw I used a Kimberly Graphite Drawing Pencil and a Blackwing Matte Pencil :)

**NOTE: I did have another account named the same thing but I got logged out today and I couldn’t get back in since I didn’t know my password, but I honestly don’t mind restarting.

BUT! Indila is my favorite artist along side with AURORA (whom I should draw next!!) I love her music and style, she has such a beautiful mind. If you don’t know her music the image I referenced is from her biggest song Dernière Danse. It’s in French but she’s sung in English before (ex. RUN RUN, Ego, Dreamin’ etc)
