I blacked out and read two more books.

Entreri............ Entreri and Drizzt........... Did all that actually happen????? Did I dream that? Just....... WHAT?

This is so dangerous for me, Entreri is soooooooooooo....... He's so un-normal. The flavor. He might be the part that's taken me past the point of no return with these books. I can't do this, I can't fall for another awful little man with bags under his eyes large enough to hold groceries.

It's the way he manages to have sexual tension with everyone in the room just through the pure gravitational pull of his antagonism but is somehow 9000% asexual at the exact same time. No, not asexual. He's inventing a new kind of thing that's Worse. Fightsexual. Badchoicesgender. The primal rage of the retail night manager who spends his whole shift smoking behind the dumpster and yet somehow runs the tightest ship you have ever seen through pure spite alone. You make eye contact with him once and every dream you ever had about maybe going back to finish your bachelor's degree in ceramics and sculpture shrivels to dust within his vortex of hopelessness and directionless wrath.

You can't be serious, Entreri, you can't be serious about declaring Drizzt your ultimate soul rival for BEING A GOOD PERSON and you're not even aware that's what it is, you're just tying up his friend to an old-timey railroad track like "This is normal. I'm a professional. I'm not having a mental breakdown. This definitely isn't the most fun I've had in my entire life."

The way there's this sliver at the back of Drizzt's mind that prevents him from fully blaming Entreri because he can recognize that Entreri was created through utter lovelessness--the way that Drizzt can't help but have grace for that, but the very reason that Entreri is hunting him down is because Entreri cannot physically acknowledge his failure because he physically cannot offer himself that same grace. And what do you even do when you're torn to the very marrow and find NOTHING at your center? Nothing but the grace of the exact person you hate most for being exactly what you could not be? IT'S SO JUICY.

I finally (got help) slapping Wordpress into shape and Runaway to the Stars is now releasing as a public webcomic! Thank you so much for your support over the years, and sticking with me while I'm slowly chewing my way through this book. I'm very excited to share this story! It'll be updating every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday thanks to the massive Patreon backlog. Patreon will continue to update as I finish pages, which happens on a sporadic non-schedule.

Carnival AU

Another Drizzt AU? Sure! Why not?! Toss it on the pile!!

Modern AU inspired after flipping through "Waterdeep Dragon Heist." In that campaign, Jaraxle disguises his ship fleet as a traveling carnival, and I LOVE carnival concepts, so. -After fleeing the Lolth cult with Drizzt, Zaknafein joined Jaraxle's gang. He and Drizzt are both part of the Sea Maiden's Faire, Luskan's finest performers!

-Drizzt is unaware that the carnival is anything but legit, though he's starting to get suspicious... but surely his dad and Uncle Jaraxle wouldn't be up to anything illegal, right? Right? -Guenhwyvar is a displacer beast. The carnival got her as a kitten around the same time Drizzt joined, and the two bonded instantly. Six years later, Guen is a 600-lb killing machine and treats Drizzt like her baby. They have an act where they do tricks together.

-Drizzt is probably some kind of acrobat, though he also assists with animal training (he has a way with animals!). He might also do swordplay demonstrations, staged fights in the street meant to shock guests before it's revealed to be part of the act.

-Zak could be a lot of things, but I'm currently labeling him as a knife thrower with a viper theme. Mostly because I wanted to draw him in an exotic costume. He could also just be a carnie (when he's not doing shady work)

I hate that I’m always trying to find cool biology themed stuff to wear but all the “nature inspired” clothing companies just have like two crossed arrows or a minimalistic mountain on a sweatshirt. Fucking lame, that’s barely even nature-adjacent. Put the life cycle of a salamander on a jacket, put hyena skeleton patterns on leggings, put a damn field guide of birds of prey on a peacoat and THEN you can have my money. Do NOT give me a shirt with a leaf on it that says “stay wild” or some bullshit I would much prefer clothing that broadcasts to everyone around me how many teeth an adult Jaguar has or how some pitcher plants can catch and digest rats.

I remember seeing a post a couple months back of someone talking about printer troubles and companies making them bad deliberately, like pointlessly different screw sizes and a lying no-usb-compatibility sticker

If someone knows it please tell me, I'm pretty sure I remember it had good resources on a youtube channel that teaches you how to fix stuff!
