The Venus Lyx is a trinity of sorts. Three brothers, all alike under a certain kind of light. The brothers Traylen.

Formed a little under a year ago, the trio has since been whistling through the capital with its own manner of jagged freak-folk, all along the way leaving whispers of a ferocious live spectacle.

This, then, is the band’s first single proper… ‘Keep Your Hands Off My Familiar’ is a tempestuous tale. One of witchcraft and zealotry, biblical wrath and holy fire. Of cats, dogs, rats, frogs, and sexual deviancy. You can dance to it, too.

The song will be released on a limited edition run of white label 7” vinyl and digital download via Quatre Femmes Records / Dead Beet Records (UK). B/w ‘Red Velvet Pancakes’.
