You said The Chosen Judas was underdeveloped. Judging by how things are going, what do you think you’re going to think of the moment of Judas final scene?
Like, his death? I'm excited for it, honestly. I love the drama, the angst, the tragedy. I'm sure from what Dallas and Luke have said that they're going to make it as tragic and heartbreaking as possible, so I can't wait!
#obviously there was a lot of wasted potential but with the big moments dallas knows how to deliver#judas#anon ask

hey guys, i’m here to relieve you of your fear-mongering For You Page, here’s what we know:
1. this is not “world war 3”. that would be insane, unrealistic, unnecessary, and would never happen immediately off of one (albeit, awful) event like this. anyone who makes any joke or post about “getting drafted” or “we’re all gonna die” has not done a lick of research, do not engage with it. plus, we’ve been at war with the middle east for ages, this is not a huge shock to them.
2. people in the US are not going to get hurt. more than likely, the worst this can get is some type of gulf war with the middle east limiting access to our resources, which still isn’t ideal. the best course of action for iran right now is to control what they can, which means cutting off the strait of hormuz, a strait that runs to the US (and other places) and provides it with resources like oil. the US military is too advanced and too strong for an attack on US soil to be a strategic move for iran (a country with a population less than a third of the US’s) because they know that whatever they do, the US military will hit back even harder (that is apparently from one of trump’s latest social media posts… that heinous bitch 😒)
3. president trump wants you to be living in fear. that’s what his entire platform has been run on, along with lies and hypocrisy that more and more people are starting to see through. whatever happens in the future, this will be a huge turning point for a lot of individuals who may or may not care about who they voted for. but for those who did not ask for this, here’s what we can do:
stop making everything about the fear in the US and do what you can to lift up the people of iran, the people who were actually attacked, especially if this situation progresses any further. if military attacks do break out, it will most likely be on iranian soil, not the US’s, so do your best to try to be selfless, even through the fear.
please for the love of god do your own research. news articles, reports, even historical articles, anything is better than scrolling through tiktok or tumblr and making your anxiety even worse. don’t even take what i say as fact! yes i’ve done research, but things can (and will) change, so it’s best to stay updated in whatever way you can.
spread positivity, build community, and gather information. as civilians, that is our current best course of action, and our collective greatest strengths. living in fear is feeding into what our government wants you to feel like so you’re easier to control. do not let them.
this is my own pet peeve, but stop saying “we bombed iran” or “we started a war”. WE did not do anything. donald trump did. that is not the america i associate with, nor should it be the one you associate with, either.
lastly, and i’ll say this until i die, everything is going to be okay. there will be issues, of course, but it won’t last forever, i promise. take a break from doomscrolling and get a good night’s rest. stay safe 🫶

Do you think Dallas and Luke see eye to eye regarding Judas on The Chosen? Luke says things about Judas that I don’t remember Dallas saying, like how Judas sees Jesus as a father figure. Do you think Luke often feels like Judas, being disgruntled at how Dallas is running things just like how Judas is disgruntled at how Jesus is running things, not that Dallas is anything like Jesus?
This is such a good question. I've actually spent a long time trying to figure out what Luke & Dallas' dynamic is. They def have respect for each other, but I think you're right, idk if they agree on everything. Luke seems to have a very clear vision of his own (he's had plenty of time to think about it), but he seems to praise Dallas' version in interviews, so I guess they're mostly aligned. But we won't know the full story until the show is over and Luke can talk about his experience on the show more - once Dallas is no longer paying his rent lol

Did you really never emotionally connect with the story of Judas until The Chosen? I'm just a bit surprised since you don't particularly seem impressed by the writing of Judas character on the show. Judging from what I've seen so far, I think there are more engaging depictions of the character. Watch Jesus of Nazareth 1977.
You got me! lol
I grew up Christian - my parents were hardline Evangelical. As a kid, I knew the story of Judas, but I never cared about him. To me, he was just the guy that betrayed Jesus, but I never felt one way or another about him. I didn't sympathize with him, but I didn't hate him either. It wasn't until I watched The Chosen that I started to see him in a different way, mostly thanks to Luke's talent, because he was so sweet and likeable. It challenged me to think deeper about his story and how I actually felt about it, which led me down a lot of theological rabbit holes and ultimately ended up being the reason that I deconstructed, left evangelicalism and am closer than ever to God now.
That's why I'm so picky about the way he's portrayed, because I see all the potential that Dallas and Luke have to tell an amazing story (one that has meant so much to me and my faith journey), and so far they're not doing it. But I have to admit, Season 5 was a good improvement!

A lot of the things about Judas on The Chosen are underdeveloped and vague, one of the most prominent is his relationship with Jesus. Did Judas lose his salvation or was he never saved to begin with? There's a moment on The Chosen where Jesus said that he once had Judas heart, that caused some people to think that Judas lost his salvation. Dallas addressed this in a video but refused to give a yes or no answer to the question. I've got a feeling Dallas is keeping Judas underdeveloped on purpose.
Yeah, I think it's on purpose. Dallas doesn't wanna ruffle feathers, but in trying to please everyone, you sacrifice a clear vision.
