14yo Petey was completely obsessed with Dragonriders of Pern, so grown up Petey was very excited to discover there's a klance au for it!

Bronzerider Keith and Bluerider Lance w/ their dragons Red and Blue, who, thankfully, are far more self-aware than their riders. From @wittyy-name amazing klance au, Tilting Skies (rated Explicit, so please mind the tags guys).

I like to think all the dragons of Pern are not just the same design different color/size, but all unique. I think it's suggested in the books that dragons of different colors have different body types and strengths. I see Blue as a water dragon, so I tried to bring in elements of the ocean into her. Red is very much a powerful fire dragon.

Like Keith is an autistic shut-in who thinks everybody hates him, so not even Shiro really knows what “Keith with a crush” looks like. He’s also secretly a huge romantic, so he always wants to do these big sweeping gestures but gets super embarrassed, like, immediately into doing it

Keith: *searches the entire beach for a rock that reminds him of Lance’s eyes because he read it in a book once*

Keith: *hands Lance the rock*

Lance: “What is thi-”

Also Keith: *immediately throws the rock into the ocean*

And then everyone just stares at him like he’s a dick, and Shiro has to remind him to try and get along with Lance.
