i can speak Spanish (taken via school) and whenever i get annoyed w ppl i say something really mundane in Spanish in an angry tone and they think im cursing them out (piscina, arboles, and gatito are my favourites, or pool, forest, and kitty in English)

uhhh personal story time but my dad kissed a guy in highschool cus he was complaining about never having been kissed. then he said "boom. cherry popped" after he literally jumped over the table to get to him so yeah. also he has a bi flag on his waterbottle (i did end up double checking if he knew what flag it was bcus he though the non binary flag was the trans ally flag... so he couldve had a non binary and a bi flag on his waterbottle) and yes he does bring it everywhere

Happy pride month to my dad. When I came out as bi to him, this man googled what it ment, look at me and said "ohh. Yeah. You get that from me. You'd have far more siblings of I only shaged women." And went right back to his work emails.

awww my first one of these. on shadow's birthday no less. i'm about to spend way more energy on this than i should LOL

most official sources state that shadow the hedgehog is "ageless", has an immortal body, or don't mention an age at all. as an artificial being, his "age" is whatever he was when he first came out of that test tube 50 years ago. which, based on this leaked script for sonic '06, is conceptualized in internal documents and by sonic team as 15 years old. you'll have to download the file to see specific receipts. but since you're probably not going to check all those links out yourself, i put screenshots of what i'm talking about below for your convenience.

i would also like to know what part of his personality, demeanor, or overall design gives you the impression that he is or thinks of himself as 50+ years old, because i think even the most maladjusted 50 year old would not be spending this much time and energy with a 15-16 year old like sonic in the first place. further, because he was created with his dynamic with sonic specifically in mind, i find it very hard to believe that they really intended for him to be 50 years old in any sense besides the literal physical length of time he has existed.

all of that besides, however, the main moral issues with age gap romances are 1.) imbalanced power dynamics and 2.) significant maturity gaps. sonic and shadow have no such issues. they were literally made to be equals in every way. there have never been any moments in canon where one is exerting unfair or uncomfortable control over the other, no instances of coercion or abuse of superiority. it is always just the clashing of two competitive equals. if anything, shadow's the one with less worldly experience because of his sheltered backstory despite being "over 50" as you say (and he spent most of those 50 years locked in stasis for that matter), and even then it's more like naiveté than any real immaturity.
