of all the people for the bottle to land on, it had to be mercedes. sure, ashley had vowed to help her friend get into trouble at the partyy, but she had never imagined it would actually be like this. although... well, she would be lying if she said there wasn't a part of her that wanted it, at least a little bit. sure, there were other beautiful women it could have landed on, but mercedes was her friend and absolutely drop dead gorgeous at that. and okay, maybe she had always wondered what would happen if she were to open that door between them. at least this way, they could peek through the door without actually ruining anything. hopefully. "look at you, ms. considerate!" ashley teased, grabbing both drinks. "don't worry, i'm okay to drink. i wouldn't have come if i couldn't, trust me." knocking back the shot, she winced, taking a gulp of the seltzer as a chaser. "are you saying you wouldn't be able to kiss me sober, mercedes? because i take offense to that."

the universe sometimes had a wild sense of humor and this night was proof of that. mercedes had spent the better half of the last week telling ashley that she needed to find ways to keep herself sane but never did she think any of this tonight might be included in that. though, it was debatable whether it'd keep either of them sane considering the line they would be crossing. grabbing a regular seltzer and two shots, she made the walk over to her old friend. "hey you. wasn't sure if you could drink so brought something for either case." she set down the three glasses before taking back one of the shots. "this, though, is definitely for me so..." / @queenflair
