unintentionally shifting to a reality almost identical to your original reality is so interesting. like what do you mean this entire building in my town is literally gone and just never existed here??

YOUR “CR” AND “DR” ARE THE SAME.

let me put it this way. yes, there are differences between your current reality and your desired one.

but, your current reality can also be your desired reality.

your current reality is the reality you are currently aware of, by the most basic definition. meaning, that when you make yourself aware of another reality, either similar to this one or different, it becomes your current reality.

from jumping parallels to parallels and from solaria to mewni, they are all the same. they are a reality with a different backdrop or font. no matter how magical it may be or out of this world in compared to this reality, it is still reality.

your desired reality becomes your current reality in the same way that any other reality at any given time can become your current reality.

your “CR” isn’t special. it shouldn’t be on a pedestal because it can change at any given moment. your “DR” also isn’t special, stop putting it on an unreachable pedestal where your brain thinks that at its core it’s any different than any other reality.

at the end of the day, they are all realities. every reality has its own set of rules, every reality is different. but, the one thing they all have in common is that they, in one way shape or form, are reality.

which on some level makes them all the same. stop thinking your desires are hard to reach. your current reality is the same as your desired one.

ᴡᴇʟᴄᴏᴍᴇ ʜᴏᴍᴇ

Somewhere off in a region far too cold for most, hidden amongst trees and mountains that reach for the clouds, sits a cabin. The lights are on, the fireplace crackles inside, and there's a faint smell that makes your stomach growl even from your spot at the edge of the clearing.

Is that bacon?

Within that cabin lives a woman and her husband, two people perfectly content with the peace and quiet that their environment provides. They have all that they need with their farm, their garden, and their respective crafts. They're not entirely alone, though, given that a few others live close by enough to visit at least a few times a week. While others would likely go crazy living in what is essentially the middle of nowhere, she doesn't seem to mind it. In her eyes, it's far easier dealing with the silence than it is dealing with the chaos that seems to follow crowds.

This seems to be a life full of love. Nights are either spent curled up on the couch with him reading aloud and her listening or in the library where a grand piano sits in the center of the room with a violin to accompany it. The mornings are similar in their simplicity with chores following a hearty breakfast. Throughout it all, there is laughter, which she says is the key to a good life.

Life consists of both light and dark and, despite the dark, she carries on. After all, she has things to do, does she not?

Author's Notes:

My Home Reality is a DR that I've had since 2020. If I were to pick one reality out of the endless ones out there to stick with for the remainder of my life, it would be this one without question. It's as if this reality had been intertwined with my soul from the start, lying in wait for the right moment to pop up and say "Ha! Here I am, everything you've been waiting for!" Which is so silly considering I had never once even thought of having a DR like this beforehand.

Anywho, enough rambling from me. That's as much of an intro to my life as you'll get right now. Now I have the ability to scream on and on about how much I love my husband, so watch out for that!

Also, I have no idea how to introduce DR's period, oops.

➴ Home Reality

You guessed it, this is my home! I've had this DR since late 2020 and it's been a part of my soul since. I won't share much as far as specifics, but just know that when I'm rambling about my husband, I am talking about this reality.

➴ Waiting Room

Another place I won't divulge many details about, my waiting room holes itself up in the center of my heart. It's a place that comes and goes in terms of my attention towards it, but it exists nonetheless and will continue to do so until the end of time.

➴ Fame DR

I never thought I would have a Fame DR, but here I am. I accidentally shifted there once and it weaseled its way into my brain. Here I'm an actress, a singer/musician, and a girl just trying to figure out whether to spend more time in America or England.

ﾒ Haikyuu DR

Who could say no to playing volleyball and goofing off in college? Not me, that's for sure. While I started down the lengthy path of getting a degree in Observational Astrophysics, I found myself drawn to the sport and with it came a large group of friends that quickly became a found family.

ﾒ Marauders DR

This was actually my very first DR (who didn't have some version of a Harry Potter DR at one point or another, though?). Every so often, I return to this reality like a moth to a flame and step into the shoes of a witch attending Hogwarts University.

i've learned that going against your desires is very counterintuitive especially with shifting. though, i think that sounds obvious.

sometimes i have these ideas on what my journey should be like... if i should stick to the canon plot, who my s/o should be, and even what i should change about myself so i can better suit a certain person... and i've found that forcing myself to stick to those ideas even when it feels wrong makes things worse in the long run.

turning your back on your desires just makes them grow bigger & stronger, turning them into something all-consuming. that's why i think if you don't learn to let yourself have fun & let go, you'll get stuck in a loop (one of many, many others, unfortunately).

maybe shifting really is all about learning to let go...

🜲 My name is Arturia Pendragon, but feel free to call me Arturia or Art if that's easier! I'm 24 years old. (Oh god, that's almost a quarter of a century.)

🜲 I'm a reality shifter! I've been apart of this community for probably 5 or so years now? I've shifted quite a bit during this time, but have only recently started to find what works for me and my brain. You probably won't see me share much in regards to the specifics of my DR's, but I will certainly share what I'm comfortable with!

┆ ⤿ 𓇼 ⌗ if you can work on your intention and practice building up that confidence (for example, intending something simple like turning on a light or your phone & then doing so), you can incorporate that into shifting! tricking your brain is very helpful and it's been helping me all this time, honestly. ⋆.˚

┆ ⤿ 𓇼 ⌗ on that note, it’s also okay if you don’t want to use manifestation or intention or whatever to shift. you don’t need it. like at all. i have said for years now that the best thing to do is what feels right to you. it’s still true!! ⋆.˚

┆ ⤿ 𓇼 ⌗ in my own experience, you will know. when you���re there, it’s not a shock or a jumpscare, you know where you are and who you are, even if it’s not the first thought you have when you become aware. from my experience, it comes to you like the mental list of things that need to be done today, you already know who you have to call or what you have to plan. ⋆.˚

┆ ⤿ 𓇼 ⌗ i feel like it’s said enough already but you do not need to be still when trying to shift. it goes with knowing yourself and listening to yourself, if you’re uncomfortable, move! you’ll still shift, i promise. ⋆.˚

┆ ⤿ 𓇼 ⌗ i have always loved using media surrounding the place i’m shifting to help me shift. using podcasts with my husbands voice or using ambiance to get to Asolo, Italy— i love it. you don’t need to use it but it’s definitely something that has helped me shift. ⋆.˚

South Park State University DR ᝰ.ᐟ

ᯓ★ The kids go to college! SPSU is a state funded university free to all the graduating students of the state of Colorado. 

ᯓ★ Located on Stark's Pond, SPSU currently has an enrollment of 11,000 students, 9,000 undergraduate and 2,000 graduate students. SPSU has 12 sororities and 12 fraternities, as well as over 130 clubs and D1 athletics. 

ᯓ★ SPSU is most known for their football, hockey, volleyball, gymnastics and competitive dance team. 

ᯓ★ SPSU offers 95 undergraduate majors, and 12 concentration for masters programs.

ᯓ★ The DuPonts are a French-Peruvian family of 6! They moved to South Park when the kids were still in elementary school, and have lived here ever since. The DuPonts moved to be closer to their cousins, the Tuckers.

Ave is not only the co-president of Delta Nu, but she’s a competitive dancer on SPSU’s team. She majors in music and is sings for the band Crimson Dawn.

Alex is the captain of the SPSU football team, and majors in Kinesiology. If he doesn’t pursue football full time, he wants to become a physical therapist.

Amé follows her in her sisters footsteps, being a member of Delta Nu. She is currently majoring in Political Science, and has just became a member of the SPSU Volleyball team.

⤷ Anastasie Alessa DuPont, 17 ✧

 Ana is in her final year at South Park High. She knows that SPSU is the best option, but she wants to get out of town.
