Hey y’all.
Well…it’s been a minute. Sorry for falling off the face of the earth. Popping in to share I don’t know when I’ll be back full time - my job has gotten more intense, and I’m expecting our first child in early summer, so blogging has naturally fallen way down the list of priorities. I know there’s been an unholy fuck ton of things that have happened since I last jumped on, so if anyone has questions about anything going down with the Norways or other stuff I’ll be happy to answer them for the next little bit.

This feels irrelevant right now but as a royal blog might as well share:
- This is the reason why William was forced to pull out of attending his godfather King Constantine Il's memorial service at Windsor
- It was her personal decision to announce this today, after her children had broken up for the Easter holidays, to protect them from gossip and intense public and media interest. Friends are at pains to stress that it is not a reaction to ludicrous speculation.
- She is expected to return to public duties when her medical advisers think it right but her first public appearances may not signal a full time return immediately. The Wales family are not intending to go to church on Easter Sunday at Windsor.

A Message from King Harald and Queen Sonja:
We feel a great need to thank you for all the care, help and support in connection with the King falling ill on our holiday in Malaysia.
We have felt the warmth flowing from the Norwegian people during this time. Your great commitment has moved us, and strengthened us. Many thanks to everyone for the care you have shown us and our family.
Now, back at home in Norway, we would also like to extend a big thank you to the Malaysian authorities and staff at the Sultanah Maliha Hospital in Langkawi. Together with Norwegian health personnel, they did everything they could to ensure that the King would recover well from his illness and be ready for the journey home.
We are very grateful to the Norwegian government, the Armed Forces and others who assisted in making the journey home so safe and smooth for us.
At the Rikshospital, the King is now undergoing expert treatment. We thank everyone who has cared for us and given practical and health-related help in a challenging situation.

Harald Update:
His infection is under control.
It has been determined he will need a permanent pacemaker placed. However, his doctors are waiting for the infection to clear before operating. Therefore, his hospitalization has been extended through the weekend.
His condition is otherwise improving.
Mette-Marit, Ingrid Alexandra, and Märtha Louise have all visited him at the hospital.

Hi everyone. It’s been a minute. Anyways, here’s some general updates on Harald:
He and Sonja are set to land in Oslo around 11 pm local time - that’ll be 5 pm for those on the east coast of the US
Once they land he will be taken to the Rikshospital. It has been semi-confirmed he will be put into isolation pending testing, including testing for MRSA.
It’s speculated he will likely need a permanent pacemaker placed, given his heart issues in the past.
His sick leave is allegedly going to be two weeks, for now.
Ingrid Alexandra has been granted leave to return home from her army training, but we don’t know if it was general leave that was arranged prior to all this happening or if it’s because of Harald’s sudden illness.
We still don’t know what he has exactly and we’ll probably never know for sure, unless they’re waiting for more testing to confirm.
Anyways, that’s all that’s known or semi-confirmed. I suspect we’ll know more about his condition in the next few days once they do more testing in Norway. I’ll try to share updates when I can.
