was reading through the p21 reddit and shoutout to those two posters who are having a thoughtful, calm, and interesting discourse about molly and gracyn! they both had good points and were nice to each other… i feel like that’s so refreshing to see these days 😭😭 especially when it comes to the comp dance world

The improv is the least of anyone’s concern. And I don’t think that factored into the final placement at all, but yes I am also just surprised. I think it came down to the audition that we never see.

I’m still really surprised Gracyn didn’t win …

Have to say, that outcome just seemed like the safest bet out of all the categories in Orlando IMO. The outcome still makes sense to me talent-wise, and I think any 1-2-3 order would have been well deserved for each of them.

I’m still wondering though where her weakness lay - aka the source of the point deduction… auditions? Bad luck in improv round 1 dancing to the interlude of the song? Taking more of a risk in improv round 2 that perhaps was less well received? I’m still unsure …

Any thoughts?

i felt like dyllans solo represented her phasing out of the comp world so well. the choreography isn’t bad; in fact it is more akin to jazz in the industry (think Broadway, theater jazz) rather than competition style dance. competition style dancing is soooo different from what you see in the real world. even if she doesn’t get the title, she has shown that she can do more than just competition jazz and is employable in the industry. 🌟🌟
