I do think the overwhelming whiteness of this website has something to do with how allergic everyone on here is to talking about how the intersections of gender with racism affects men. The only time I've seen it discussed and pointed out on Tumblr is with the dehumanization of Palestinian men who are killed by the occupation. This silence about the impacts of the intersection of gender and race on men is letting genocidal settler colonies off the hook for their crimes.

When he reached the Israeli prison, U.S. human rights defender Chris Smalls was physically assaulted by seven uniformed individuals. They choked him and kicked him in the legs, leaving visible signs of violence on his neck and back.

When his lawyer met with him, Chris was surrounded by six members of Israel’s special police unit. This level of force was not used against other abducted activists.
