Not the normal theming of my blog, but:
If you live in the US right now, check in on your trans friends.
Please.
We are so tired, and the past few days have been hard in so many ways.
The community is experiencing a lot of different anxieties right now for so many reasons.
Anti-trans sentiment has grown since the Nashville shooter was revealed to be trans, resulting in increased physical danger for trans people everywhere.
Anti-trans legislation has been RAMPANT this year, even before the Nashville shooting. Anti-transgender bills have been proposed in 44 states, and a national bill deemed the "Parents Bill of Rights Act" passed the House of Representatives and is headed to the Senate. This bill, if enacted, would forcibly out trans students to their parents.
There is a national rally tomorrow (3/31) for LGBTQ Youth Autonomy, taking place at nearly EVERY state's capital city. If you can in any way attend a rally near you, please do. If you can't, please contact your state reps and senators telling them what you think of the Parents Bill of Rights Act.
To my cis allies---now is when the trans community needs the most help from you.
To my trans friends --- Happy Trans Day of Visibility. Ensure we remain visible no matter how they try to cut us down.

I hope this is okay to send in, no pressure to post it if not! But to anyone who happens to be attending the marches in Champaign IL, please know that towards the mid-late afternoon into the evening the weather is supposed to get pretty rough. High winds, potential tornado warnings, heavy thunder storms, and so on. I encourage everyone to keep an eye on the weather reports and make sure you're prepared! Be safe everybody
sorry that this is late!

Updates to the Tumblr masterpost are coming more slowly as the DC march approaches and more of our energy is going into preparing for that. The most updated site for information is our website; please double check any info you find here against that!
Here's the link to a masterpost of confirmed marches (which has reblogs turned off so it can be updated)! Please share this one!
If you don't see a march in your area and would like to organize one, please email [email protected]!

Hey, I’m a trans teen and I won’t be able to attend the march. I live in Massachusetts and I have two questions.
How did I find out when they’ll be other marches and events?
Idk if your the right people to ask but is there anything else I can do?
I feel so helpless and I really want to take a stand so your answers would be much appreciated. Thanks for you time! 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️
hi! a bunch of our team is based in massachusetts, so we know a lot of the local resources :D
the state has a gsa leadership council that hosts regional meetings every two months. these meetings are open to any MA student and you can get your absence excused by your school via a letter on the website. find the dates, letter, and more information here!
the safe schools program/commission on lgbtq youth, which run the council together, also will share info about local events; you can follow them on instagram @/masslgbtqyouth.
bagly is another boston org that does a lot of events/programming.
and of course, shameless self-promo, but we (QYA) have a lot of ma events as well. keep up with us after the march by finding us @queeryouthassemble on most socials including here (though the acc is inactive until the march is over)!
in terms of ways of organizing that aren't marches, school walkouts can make a huge difference in your local community, and we have a guide to organizing them on our website. you can also make a huge difference in your community simply by speaking out at the public comment section of school committee meetings, lobbying your administration, and campaigning for local queer-supportive politicians.
our movement-wise, we're also always in need of donations if you have the capacity to run a fundraiser, so we can cover transportation and other expenses. even just sharing info about our marches and list of demands with folks in your area can do a lot!
if you'd be interested in volunteering with qya, email [email protected] :D
if you feel comfortable DMing our account here, i can have one of our massachusetts folks reach out to you with more local resources/opportunities to connect!

Stop scrolling!! Please read!
Alright, I wish I could find something for THIS year online, but I can’t. There are posters on Chicago for a protest for trans rights on MARCH 31st AT GRANT PARK.
It’s not like Chicago/Illinois needs this as bad as other states right now, but protesting is still important as long as it gets media coverage. This is just me trying to help make that happen. Please come out to support us if you live near, and boost this if you can’t. I’ll try to find the poster, i just forget where I was when I saw it.
Thanks y’all, and stay safe!
