sorry for doing another round of 5am nitpicking. but when i see posts like this going around and getting thousands of notes it's like wow. you are really telling on yourself if these are the kind of complaints you have about modern games. all this kind of rhetoric shows is that
#1 you don't play games that aren't AAA, and
#2 you don't know anything about the history of PC games.
i will stop myself from writing unnecessary paragraphs here and summarize my thoughts by saying:
#1 i guarantee there are lesser known games made by smaller teams out there that have the qualities you want in a game. you just need to seek them out instead of having brand advertisement carry you there. and
#2 unfinished content and game-breaking bugs are about as old as games themselves. yes including on release. yes even back before patches could be distributed efficiently. if you think otherwise you need to play more old games in their original release format.

y'shtola: we must needs put our heads together and solve this problem before the writers realise I'm not supposed to do anything this expansion. [gets pale]
alphinaud: ah... but pray tell, what if we used tactics to activate the device...?
alisaie: a good idea, but unfortunately short-sighted, brother. the device can't do that without the crystal.

Some of these are intetesting since the artist who did the coloring was a woman named Megumi Shiraishi.
I had no idea Kaneko had a colorist finish many of his posters and promotional materials.

it breaks my brain that carrie & lowell is 10 years old now... when i listen to it and to these anniversary edition tracks, i don't feel any older than i was back then. but really that just speaks to the timelessness of the album. and makes me feel humbled. lately i keep having dreams over and over about high school, which is a part of me that i used to put so much work into repressing. that was also when i used to listen to this album a lot. when i was doing the repressing, i mean. it was a way to process trauma that i no longer think much about. aging is so weird.
