Get into SHAPE

Getting into physical shape is something we talk about all of the time.  What about mental or emotional shape?  I was listening to Rick Warren and he talked about spiritual shape, and it got me thinking what about a SHAPE for all areas of your life. 

Service - Being of services to others, regardless of what they can give back.  John F Kenedy said “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country”.  This applies to all of us, we can have, be or create anything as long as we help enough other people achieve what they want.

Humility - doing acts of service or kindness is just for you and that other person, no one else needs know.  Doing something so you get recognized is different from someone telling your story.  It is okay if they do, but that should not be the reason you do it.

Ability - Trust in your abilities, talents or gifts.  When you focus on those gifts you get better and stronger.  If you are like me you might try and get balanced in all areas, I am not very good at cartwheels so I practice.  But in reality I don’t care about them.  It is not important to me.  If you are not sure what you ability is, ask a close friend or family member.

Perseverance - This will not be easy, but it will be worth it!  I heard that there is no such thing as an over night success.  So True!

Execute your idea - The most abundant place is the graveyard.  Home of countless ideas, best selling books, and the next great start up but they never saw the light of day because people did not executed their idea, they never took action. 

Maybe you would have different words to spell SHAPE?  What would you use?
