Die Mimik der Tethys (The Expressions of Tethys) is a high sea buoy (last was in Pinacoteca Agnelli, Turin, 2024), that is suspended in space and moves synchronously to another buoy in the Atlantic Ocean near Nantes. Continuously transmitting motion data via satellite to its relocated double, the information guides eight electric motors and cable winches, which precisely reproduce the buoy's movement in the ocean. The buoy functions as a hypnotising machine that inevitably leads to the idea of waves lapping around inside the exhibition space, creating an ocean in the minds of people.

i'm watching a Deltarune LP in Japanese and found out that Tenna has a cute quirk where he ends a lot of his sentences with でしょう ("deshou") but he combines it with SHOW in English ("でSHOW" or "deSHOW")

so what's this endgame worth at all
jason has seen photos of young bruce. he used to study the ones left in the halls of wayne manor, trying to fill in the gaps between the smiling boy in the picture frame and the man in the cave downstairs. none of those photos could have prepared him for the genuine article, or how much he feels like he’s seeing his own reflection. furious, haunted eyes ringed by black circles; greasy, unkempt black hair; clusters of acne from wearing a mask for days at a time–this might be the most human jason has ever seen him look. (or: a transfer of power.)
happy birthday to Me, have 1200 words of conductor au jason

Why have I been hearing so much about forklifts this week?
Whatever, ignore me. Pay attention to this week's episode instead- covering Feeling Pinkie Keen and Sonic Rainboom. I'm... gonna level with you here, folks. If you were ever wondering what it would be like if God's Not Dead was about ponies, you're about to find out. Our hosts also cover a good episode, I guess.
Listen here or wherever you get your podcasts!

The thing about the "white cube" style of art gallery display is that it's actually not letting you appreciate the art in a vacuum. Art looks different in different displays, and I appreciate the attempt to solve that problem, but a blank white wall is itself an aesthetic, it has its own cultural connotations and background and associations. It is not devoid of extraneous meaning. A white cube is not a vacuum, it is a white cube. It looks sterile, empty, industrial. Not all art was meant to be displayed in a white cube. Leonardo Da Vinci never intended for the Mona Lisa to be displayed in a white cube. There is no such thing as a vacuum.
