'It isn't up for debate' ( i dek )
‘ MEME. || not accepting. ‘

❛ listen to me ——- ❜
SHE imagined him : broad shoulders lifted, & tense jaw tilted to a STUBBORN angle, with EYES which sparked the slightest HINT of hideous DISPLEASURE at most things in life ———— but never DIRECTLY to his sister, no —- & aware was the more GROUNDED half of a whole. however, it didn’t CEASE the struggle to breathe whenever he LASHED out : whenever she wasn’t ABLE to retrieve the CALMING notion to have HIM back to his senses, & snap him OUT of the vexation. WORDS unable to spill from her lips & what is unable to be said is TRANSLATED into heavy, broken sobs. it was a HAUNTING melody for pietro, to LISTEN to the same painful tug of each VEIN in her body.
` it’s me, pietro. it’s me, WANDA. & i’m sorry. this is my fault. ‘
LEANING against the marble walls, STRENGTH was completely drawn away from the FRAGILE skeleton, only left with STAR DUST to keep the engine running ; such a BROKEN heart to beat ——- & a rational mind to DECIDE whether it was WORTH their lives to FIGHT against their own government. RALLIES boomed from each CORNER, with the same FLARE fighting to be unleashed from wanda’s own SHELL.
❛ —— i - i shouldn’t have gone to the rally without telling you ——- ❜
PIETRO, I’M SORRY.
i wasn’t thinking !! ——- BROTHER, please listen to me.
DANGEROUS was every step outside of the house, as the TWINS lived in absolute FEAR. they’ve LOST their parents —– the only PEOPLE they’ve grown attached to : without any RELATIVES, friends, or even STRANGERS to accept them into their home : to make them a PART of their family. for TEN years, pietro maximoff was her FAMILY. it was only her BROTHER who proved worthy of her trust —– her love —- her EVERYTHING. the absolute PULL of gravity managed to FAZE the woman from complete self-destruction. before FLASHBACKS of the rally —— smoke bombs. bloodshed. children screaming. heart palpitating at its highest rate. & there was him ——- PIETRO. pietro rushing to tame the RUSH of adrenaline from her sister’s eyes. pietro framing the delicate PLANES of her face with calloused hands. pietro YELLING against the gunfire while nothing RANG in her eardrums except for his VOICE whenever he mumbled her NAME. pietro slipping the woman in his arms, AWAY from the chaotic environment, BACK to the safety of their SHELTER. pietro. PIETRO. PIETRO.
——- & YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH I NEED YOU RIGHT NOW. HOW MUCH I WANT TO TELL YOU THAT I’M DOING THIS FOR YOU. FOR THE BOTH OF US. —— because this war is never going to stop unless we take a stand.
& i couldn’t stand on my feet without you.

BUT none of it was said. only the CRIPPLING sense of fear KNOCKED the air out of her lungs, & the capability of SPEECH to malfunction ——— SHAKING fingers held unto the plastic phone, with ONLY his voice, still, ringing in her HEAD. it had been THREE hours since he LEFT, & tranquility ABANDONED its usual temple. each INHALE & exhale TRIGGERED half of a memory, blurred with the TEARS which rimmed in the hollows of her eyes —— almost a DAGGER slicing through her PEACE, revealing every figment of her worst fears —– for them to be TORN apart. because she SWORE, she swore to the gods, that no MATTER how DISTANCE separated them, wanda would FIND him. because there was no UNIVERSE that wanda maximoff allowed to be ALONE. & even if she was SURROUNDED by peers, parents : it wouldn’t be the SAME without pietro.
THERE WAS NO WANDA MAXIMOFF without pietro maximoff. & that was the beginning & end of everything.
❛ — come back to me. ❜

‘ ------- there’s no use in staying outside. would you like to come in ? ‘
it wasn’t exact;y HIS place to invite someone into a house that wasn’t his. but, what she ( & the owner) didn’t know didn’t hurt her.
‘ you’re a nurse ? what is a nurse doing out so late ? ---- working ? ‘

❝ Claire. Look, I’m just using this space to ❞
a pause, a breath, & she’s turning to completely face him. an eyebrow arches as she stares intently at the man. head shakes & she releases a sigh, fingers coming to rest upon her temple. she shudders briefly at the chill in her bones, arms coming to curl around her; she tried to be inconspicuous about it. she’s anxious now, concerned over if he’d call the police on her. she was sure nothing would come of it, but she would prefer not to go down that road if she had a choice.
❝ If you’re nervous about me, don’t be. I’m just a nurse, I won’t hurt you. ❞

his fingers TWITCHED and his leg JUMPED rapidly. he hated waiting. what was in all actuality fifteen minutes felts like two HOURS. it was a horrible feeling. an AGONIZING mixture of impatience & aching. he just wanted to run.
‘ what do you want with me ? i have done nothing wrong. ‘

forethinking.
‘ what kind of doctor are you, exactly ? ‘
the number of times he had been to a doctor could most likely be counted on ONE hand. being able to have check-ups was not necessarily a necessity, as it cost more than he and his sister could afford while ALONE ( & what they could afford was not much anyway).

‘ ---- do you happen to know clint barton ? you remind me a great deal of him. ‘
OF COURSE this girl most likely knew him. she would not be strolling around the avengers tower so casually had she not at least known most of them. it must have been the PURPLE.

❝ – what you’re doing … i don’t know what you think you guys are going to accomplish, or whatever ultron promised you both, but the results will be empty. it’s not going to end well for anyone. but there’s still time to walk away from it. to do good. ❞
‘ i am doing good, NO ? ‘
obvious distaste spread thick in his tone, a glare that could cut diamond plastered onto his face.
‘ my sister and i are TRYING to fix our home. it seems as if you and your avengers can cause damage, but when it comes to fixing it you move on to other things. you have the time to destroy cities but no time to rebuild them. ‘

okay. OKAY. she was a superhero.
but there was a time and place for everything and throwing her into a moving vehicle wasn’t one of them.
❛ OKAY LISTEN.
not how you treat a lady, but i guess no one ever taught you manners. ❜
enough trash talking, get to it batgirl.
he stood, feet PLANTED on the ground. it couldn’t have hurt that bad.
‘ i have manners. i just choose to use them once a person deserves them. ‘
