being anti ai is making me feel like in going insane. "you asked for thoughts about your characters backstory and i put it into chat gpt for ideas". studies have proven its making people dumber. "i asked ai to generate this meal plan". its causing water shortages where its data centers are built. "ill generate some pictures for the dnd campaign". its spreading misinformation. "meta, generate an image of this guy doing something stupid". its trained off stolen images, writing, video, audio. "i was talking with my snapchat ai-" theres no way to verify what its doing with the information it collects. "youtube is impletmenting ai based age verification". my work has an entire graphics media department and has still put ai generated motivational posters up everywhere. ai playlists. ai facial verification. google ai microsoft ai meta ai snapchat ai. everyone treats it as a novelty. every treats it as a mandatory part of life. am i the only one who sees it? am i paranoid? am i going insane? jesus fucking christ. if i have to hear one more "well at least-" "but it does-" "but you can-" im about to lose it. i shouldnt have to jump through hoops to avoid the evil machine. have you no principles? no goddamn spine? am i the weird one here?

every time a cis girl becomes a trans man is a good thing actually. the whole world should celebrate. if you came out as transmasc recently and someone had something to say about not needing more men in the world you should make them feel like shit about it. you dont deserve that. your becoming a man makes the world a better place - no ifs, no caveats, no exceptions. you being a man is a good thing because you are trans. you are not abandoning women, or abandoning feminism. you dont now have to dedicate your existence to defending women and being a selfless knight. you dont have to spend every social interaction trying to be as quiet as possible so you can be one of the good ones. you dont have to make yourself small. you get to be angry, sad, excited, horny, tired, scared, you get to expect comfort and rest and patience, just as much as you did before. you haven't betrayed anyone. you are a man now. we're so happy that you are.

Harsh and will upset some people but I still think this: if you deny the existence of transandrophobia you’re engaging in rape and abuse apologia

There’s too many instances of trans men and transmascs being raped and sexually assaulted as a means of “correcting” them. In many cases there’s even efforts to impregnate the trans man to stop transitioning. There’s also usually nowhere for a trans man to go in the event he’s trying to escape an abuser; women’s shelters won’t take him because he’s a man and men’s shelters won’t take him because he was afab. So either he goes back to his abuser who’s trying to detransition him, he detransitions in order to go to the women’s shelter for the allusion of temporary safety as long as he stays closeted, or he’s just fucking homeless. All of these things are aspects of transandrophobia. Another aspect of transandrophobia is erasure; we don’t get to talk about these things happening and we certainly don’t get a word for it and if we try then somebody comes to make it about somebody else and says whatever they need to to shut us up and end the conversation.

By denying that transandrophobia exists you allow these things to continue happening. The rapes, the abuse, hell, the denial is actively taking part in the erasure.

I’m not shutting up because I want my brothers to be safe. I want trans men and boys’ voices heard. I want every trans man and transmasc who needs it to have somewhere to go to escape violence committed against us because we’re trans men and transmasc. And even more than that I want that same violence to end, and I want every trans man and transmasc to live without unnecessary suffering. If you take issue with that, I want you to sit down and think about why.
