Her smile grew at his nervousness or what she would assume as such, “That we are, so tell me the Quinn, how is it you managed to get my number?”
He shrugged, turning away from her. “My manager probably entered a number wrong and I got yours? That’s the only way I can imagine what happened.”

“You don’t have to repay me,” Kelly replied softly. “I just like to do what I can for people.” She paused then and shrugged her shoulder. “I have kids, and if they were in your position I’d want someone to help them. This is what I can do for you, so it’s no trouble. It’s my job.”
He glanced at the floor between them and shuffled slightly, nodding. “Th-thanks. Truly, I’m really thankful for this. I mean, I-I wouldn’t exactly know what I would’ve done if I hadn’t met you today.”

He furrowed his eyebrows. “W-what? Are... are you okay?”

She nodded and got out a card for him. Honestly Kelly barely had use for them but she always had a couple in her purse just in case. Hanging it over, she smiled. “I hope to hear from you.” Kelly’s family ran the clinic. She was going to use that to make this happen if she needed to.
His slender hand reached over, taking the card between two thin fingers. Flicking his wrist so he could read it, he gave a silent nod. Blue eyes looked at the other, a faint smile growing over his features. “I’m really thankful. Is there anything I can do? To like... repay you? I really didn’t expect I’d be able to find someone else in Bayside.”

Of course, but Kelly had not known if he was actually sick and in need of medication or if that was the case. A small smile formed on her lips and she nodded. “If you make an appointment with me at the clinic I’ll see what I can do to get you what you need.”
His tongue clicked against his teeth, eyes brightening as she spoke of good news. “R-really? That can happen? Do you... do you have a card?”

Something clicked with those words, her red rimmed eyes growing wide with surprise as her lips turned upwards into a grin which was a little more realistic, “You’re Quinn?” she asked hands fumbling as she retrieved her phone and looked down at the scream. “I do believe that I owe you an apology and a text…”
He blinked dumbly for a few seconds. “I am a Quinn. I mean, I’m unsure i-if I’m the Quinn you’re looking for.” He blabbed on, his blue eyes turning to her phone screen, then away once he realized how rude that was. “Oh! Well, don’t worry! You-- we... we’re talking now.”

“Did you get water? You might need water. Y-you look a bit flushed...”

She swung her legs slowly, biting into the powdered donut she’d picked and chewing thoughtfully, unaware that the white powder had transferred to her cheek. “What, exactly,” she remarked with a smirk as she hopped down off the counter and nudged him with her hip, “are you insinuating, Mr. Bostick?”
“That you’re my space heater.” He said pointedly, a smirk crossing upon his features. Moving his thin frame between her legs, slender fingers trailed up her outer thigh. “Do you agree, Miss Samuels?” Quinn inquired, pressing his forehead against hers, licking the sugar from his thin lips.

That would explain it, but Kelly didn’t like it that people weren’t helped because of something that simple. “I’m no expert in these things,” Kelly admitted, “but I’ll see what I can do. What sort of medication do you need?”
He gave her a look. Wasn’t it obvious? The most important medication he needed was obviously the very thing that helped make him... him. “Hormones.” he muttered. “I need T. I’m almost out.”

“I think you did, but introductions can never be overdone Quinn,” she offered him her hand, those sand covered digits, “Iris.”
He took his hand in hers, giving it a firm squeeze. Though, he didn’t make eye contact and returned his hand to the sand. “I met an Iris the other day. I texted her on accident. It’s a nice name.” He said with a soft shrug. “Like... there’s a galaxy of personalities that can be involved with an Iris, you know?”

“Alien dragons, dude.”
“Alien versus Predator? Sounds way out of my league.”

“You’re never too old to learn something new—” she nudged him gently, “And yes before you ask I do not subscribe to the whole can’t teach an old dog, why limit yourself when so many things in this world already does?” Iris met his smile with one of her own, eyes red rimmed and puffy yet thoughts diverted.
He extended a hand, tapping her shoulder gently, his smile unwavering. “Well, maybe I’ll try. At least, if it’ll make you feel better.” Quinn then shrugged. He didn’t know her -- at least, he didn’t think so -- but he was hoping that her thoughts were now focusing on him as opposed to what had been happening before he found her. “Did I introduce myself? I don’t think I did. I’m Quinn.”

“At least we both can agree on something.”

“Well I’m sure it would. Depending on the type of alien.”
“I’d say one from Mars Attacks but they explode when they hear a high-frequency. Not the best way to go out, y’know?”

“I failed to see the humor in that sentence, mate.”
