Ah. She's been caught out.
Mino pauses over the wires she's been detangling and winding into neat loops to put away, a faint sense of guilt budding as her gaze flickers to Makaira watching from the doorway. After all, if Makaira is here, then Mino must have been at this for longer than she intended--which is not at all uncommon but unfortunate nonetheless.
Initially she'd stayed behind in the workshop to neaten up just to avoid the initial rush (and noise level) of dinner in the cafeteria. That all feels like a little too much to deal with today. I'll stall with this for fifteen minutes or so, she'd thought resolutely. Just long enough for it to quiet down. But even the best-laid plans go awry, particularly when the planner in question has a bad habit of losing track of time when absorbed in a task, and whose very nature goes against leaving a job half-done. Belatedly, she feels her stomach rumble--as if it were waiting for an attentive audience to perform for. Embarrassing.
"...I was just going to clean up a little," she murmurs, trying not to sound too defensive. Her brow knits. "...But you know how this place is. People leave things lying around everywhere. It's difficult to just stop at one section...”

Admittedly, they get a little lost in the imagery there--Abel running through the park, flocked by a small pack of lovably-rowdy dogs drawn to some natural sense of camaraderie with him... it’s very charming. Plays out like one of those commercials you only find out is advertising body wash when the logo comes up onscreen in the last few seconds. Wait, focus--we were onto something here. “...So you’ve been howling? With--with the dogs?” Kei stirs their drink with their straw, drawing it out of the water to point it towards Abel with a squint of their eyes. “That seems new. Is that a new thing? Just wondering.”

“physically?” abel starts punctuating his sentence with a lengthy sip of water, it’s important to stay hydrated. “i feel like i’ve never been in a better condition, i mean the quirk is still funky you can’t fix that but i recently changed up my running routine. the track field at the school is nice but the park has better scenery at night, and there’s also the dogs there…” he’s a bit overly found of those pups at the moment, especially this one pug.. “i talk to them sometimes isn’t that funny? though i’ve been told that my howl isn’t that good.”
