I like this old headcanon I had that Zim isn't actually a standard for how gross irkens are, his PAK and SIR unit are just defective so he didn't properly adjust to the Earth's environment and as such gets sick by EVERYTHING

tfw "popular" fanon becomes so embedded in a fandom & discussions within fandom spaces that people just start treating it as the default and all interactions with others are coloured by this interpretation. have you considered that I actually don't subscribe to this take, which is nowhere in the source material? wait nvm, clearly not.
#I’ve never seen a character more misunderstood than Stranger and I am serious#he’s called that because the Dreamer literally has self inflicted amnesia and it’s a descriptive title not a name#Stranger refers to himself in first person as Basil#he’s the parts of Basil the Dreamer doesn’t want to see or look at#so much so he’s shrouded his face and forgot his name#something it is said outloud he does#there is no way to understand Stranger without understanding he is Basil#he has 16 pieces of dialogue and all he says is I’m Basil over and over#then I read fanfics and they’re like#“he looks like basil but isn’t ”#wrong. wrong.

Finally caught the mischief maker!
For now we’re calling her Bell. She’s a very very friendly stray who kept following me when I went outside, so I offered to adopt her, and the neighbors were like “Actually we decided to adopt her” then they changed their mind so it’s ours now.
