📖 Al Baqarah (2:143) – English Translation
Verse: 143. And thus We made you an exalted [289] community among all the nations that you may be a witness [290] over the people and the Rasool (Messenger) will be a witness over you [291]. And (O Beloved) We did not make the Qibla, which you used to face (Baitul Muqaddas) but that We might make evident who would follow the Rasool from who would turn back on his heels. And, surely, it is difficult, except for those whom Allah has guided [292], and never would Allah cause you to lose your faith [293]. Surely, Allah is to the people, Most Kind and Merciful [294].
Tafsir:
📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Baqarah – Verse 143
"And thus We made you an exalted [289] community among all the nations that you may be a witness [290] over the people and the Rasool (Messenger) will be a witness over you [291]. And (O Beloved) We did not make the Qibla, which you used to face (Baitul Muqaddas), but that We might make evident who would follow the Rasool from who would turn back on his heels. And, surely, it is difficult, except for those whom Allah has guided [292], and never would Allah cause you to lose your faith [293]. Surely, Allah is to the people, Most Kind and Merciful [294]."
✅ [289] The Ummah of the Prophet ﷺ – Exalted and Central
Although the Ummah of the Holy Prophet ﷺ is chronologically the last, in terms of status, it is the most exalted and central among all nations.
Like the sun among stars, or the Mihrab in a masjid, this Ummah holds a central spiritual role
Islam, as a balanced and moderate religion, is not as rigid as Judaism, nor as lenient as Christianity, but follows the middle path of justice, wisdom, and mercy
✅ [290] Muslims Will Be Witnesses Over Mankind
From this part of the verse, several profound truths emerge:
Whomever Muslims consider a saint, is genuinely a saint, since this Ummah has been divinely guided.
Muslim consensus (Ijma') is a proof of truth in religious matters.
The rightful Caliphate of the Righteous Caliphs (Khulafāʾ Rāshidūn) is valid, since the Ummah has unanimously accepted their rule.
✅ [291] The Prophet ﷺ Will Be a Witness Over His Ummah
On the Day of Judgment, the Holy Prophet ﷺ will testify to the righteousness of his Ummah.
His testimony will be selective, applying only to those deserving of praise, not to sinners.
The word ‘ʿalaikum’ (upon you) implies direct witness — the Prophet ﷺ is aware of his followers' deeds, whether apparent or hidden
📌 Furthermore:
The Holy Prophet ﷺ saw the conditions of all previous Prophets, and will testify based on divine knowledge
The Sahabah (Companions) have been guaranteed Paradise, as he personally gave them the glad tidings
On that Day, when other nations reject the Propagation of their Prophets, it is the Muslim Ummah who will testify in their defense, and the Prophet ﷺ will verify that testimony
📚 Legal insight:
Just as judges today inquire before passing verdicts, Allah’s Judgment on the Day of Resurrection also involves full investigation and evidence
Additional principles drawn:
Testimony based on hearing (Sama‘) is valid when it comes from a trusted source, like the Companions.
The word ‘ʿalaikum’ implies both:
Eyewitness status, and
A guardian-like supervision, as Allah states:
"Undoubtedly, everything is before Allah."
✅ [292] Changing Qibla – A Test of True Belief
When the Qibla was changed from Jerusalem to Makkah, it shook the faith of many:
The hypocrites and weak-hearted began to raise objections
However, those firmly guided by Allah remained steadfast and loyal
📌 The verse confirms that this shift was a divine test to separate true followers from those who waver
✅ [293] Allah Will Not Waste Your Faith
The term "faith" here refers to:
The previous Salaah (prayers) performed facing Jerusalem by the early believers who passed away before the change of Qibla
📌 Allah assures that those acts of worship will not go to waste, and all sincere deeds will be accepted and rewarded
✅ [294] Allah’s Mercy to the Ummah
When the Companions inquired about the fate of the prayers of their deceased brothers, this verse was revealed to comfort them:
Their Salaah, performed in the former Qibla direction, will be rewarded fully.
📌 This shows Allah is:
Extremely Kind
Most Merciful
He accepts and honors sincere efforts, even when circumstances change

📖 Al Baqarah (2:142) – English Translation
Verse: 142. The foolish [285] among the people will say [286]: "What has turned them (Muslims) away from their Qibla [287] which they used to face?" Please declare (O Muhammad): "To Allah belongs [288] the east and the west; He guides whom He wills to the Straight Path."
Tafsir:
📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Baqarah – Verse 142
"The foolish [285] among the people will say [286]: 'What has turned them (Muslims) away from their Qibla [287] which they used to face?' Say (O Muhammad): 'To Allah belongs [288] the east and the west; He guides whom He wills to the Straight Path.'"
✅ [285] Objections by the Foolish: Yahud, Idolaters, and Hypocrites
This verse refers to the Yahud, idolaters, and hypocrites, who mocked the Prophet ﷺ and objected to the change of Qibla.
They were not ready to accept this divinely ordained change
The Torah and other previous scriptures had already prophesied that the final Prophet would be the Prophet of Two Qiblas
📌 So the change in Qibla from Jerusalem to Makkah was proof of Prophethood, not a reason for doubt Yet these malicious objectors tried to undermine the Prophet’s mission
✅ [286] Historical Reality of Qibla Before and After
Important historical points:
The Ka'bah was the original Qibla from the time of Hazrat Adam (AS) to Hazrat Musa (AS)
Baitul Maqdis (Jerusalem) became the Qibla from Musa (AS) to Isa (AS)
In early Islam, Muslims faced Jerusalem, but the divine command to change Qibla to the Ka'bah came:
📆 On the 25th of Ramadaan, 2 AH, during Zuhr Salah at Masjid Qiblatain, about 17 months after Hijrah
Allah mentioned this objection to:
Expose the pettiness of the objectors
And show how such arguments are foolish, despite the apparent cleverness of the objectors
✅ [287] Objection to the Change from Baitul Maqdis to the Ka'bah
The Yahud objected to this directional change, questioning the legitimacy of the Prophet ﷺ and Islam.
📌 From this, we learn that:
Unnecessary objections, especially without understanding the divine wisdom, reflect ignorance
Even those who may be intelligent in worldly matters, but raise baseless objections in deen, are termed “foolish” by Allah
✅ [288] True Worship Is for Allah, Not Directions
The Muslim response is dignified and full of Tawheed:
“We do not worship the East or West. We follow the command of Allah.”
Key point:
Direction in prayer (Qibla) is not about geography, but about obedience
Allah, to Whom both East and West belong, has the full authority to set the Qibla wherever He wills
📌 The real Straight Path is to follow Allah’s guidance, wherever He commands us to face or go

📖 Al Baqarah (2:141) – English Translation
Verse: 141. That was a nation that has passed on; they will have what they have earned [284], and you will have what you have earned, and you will not be questioned about their deeds.
Tafsir:
📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Baqarah – Verse 141
"That was a nation that has passed on; they will have what they have earned [284], and you will have what you have earned, and you will not be questioned about their deeds."
✅ [284] Everyone Will Be Judged by Their Own Deeds
This verse reiterates that each individual and nation will be judged based on their own actions, not the merits or faults of others.
Addressing the disbelievers, Allah makes it clear:
You will not benefit from the pious deeds of previous Prophets whom you refuse to follow
And likewise, your infidelity and deviations will not harm those righteous predecessors in any way
📌 Their virtue is intact, and your rejection cannot stain their legacy
✅ Can the Deeds of the Righteous Benefit Others?
While disbelievers gain nothing from ancestral righteousness, this verse does not negate the benefit Muslims may receive from the duas and sacrifices of their pious predecessors.
For example:
The Holy Prophet ﷺ offered sacrifice on behalf of his entire Ummah
Righteous acts of elders (like building masjids, charity, etc.) may continue to benefit their descendants
✅ Accountability for Misguidance
Another key point in this verse:
Whoever leads others into disbelief or idol worship will bear the burden of that sin as well
Misguiding someone is not just a personal sin—it carries the weight of misguiding others
📌 This clarifies the deeper meaning of the verse:
Each person’s accountability is individual, and no one’s virtue or vice can replace another’s responsibility

📖 Al Baqarah (2:140) – English Translation
Verse: 140. Or do you claim that Ebrahim, Ismail, Ishaaq, Yaqub, and the descendants were Yahud or Nasara? Say (O Muhammad): "Are you more knowledgeable, or is Allah? And who is more unjust than the one who conceals a testimony he has from Allah? Indeed, Allah is not unaware of what you do."
Tafsir:
📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Baqarah – Verse 140
"Or do you claim that Ibrahim, Ismail, Ishaaq, Yaqub, and the descendants were Yahud or Nasara? Say (O Muhammad): 'Are you more knowledgeable, or is Allah? And who is more unjust than the one who conceals a testimony he has from Allah? Indeed, Allah is not unaware of what you do.'"
✅ [281] Refuting the False Claims of the Yahud and Nasara
The Yahud (Jews) claimed that Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) was a Jew, while the Nasara (Christians) claimed he was a Christian.
📌 This verse was revealed to refute both claims, highlighting the clear fact that:
Judaism and Christianity came long after Hazrat Ibrahim (AS)
Therefore, how could he be from either of them?
🛑 Such claims are not only historically false, but also spiritually dishonest
✅ [282] Supporting the Prophets Is the Way of Allah
From this verse, we learn an essential principle:
To refute false beliefs and defend the Prophets is the way of Allah
To accuse Prophets or attribute falsehoods to them is the way of the disbelievers
📌 Anyone who finds faults in the Prophets is acting under the influence of Shaytan, whereas those who defend and honor them follow the path of divine truth
✅ [283] Concealing Divine Testimony Is a Grave Sin
This verse warns against the sin of concealing divine testimony, especially:
The Yahud, who knew of the Prophethood of Muhammad ﷺ from the Taurat, but deliberately hid and altered it
📌 Key teachings:
Concealing religious truths is an act of injustice and disbelief
Testimony related to religious matters (like moon sighting for Ramadan) must not be hidden
However, concealing a testimony that may benefit the Muslims strategically is permissible
But concealing something that violates the rights of others is strictly haram
🔊 This verse encourages open propagation of the truth. For example:
When the Muazzin declares, “I bear witness that Muhammad ﷺ is the Messenger of Allah”, — it is not objectionable, but a divine command to spread the testimony openly

📖 Al Baqarah (2:139) – English Translation
Verse: 139. Say (O Muhammad): "Do you dispute [279] with us concerning Allah, while He is our Lord and your Lord? To us are our deeds, and to you are your deeds. And we are sincere (in deed and intention) to Him alone" [280].
Tafsir:
📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Baqarah – Verse 139
"Say (O Muhammad): 'Do you dispute [279] with us concerning Allah, while He is our Lord and your Lord? To us are our deeds, and to you are your deeds. And we are sincere (in deed and intention) to Him alone.' [280]"
✅ [279] Disputing the Prophet ﷺ Is Like Disputing Allah
This verse was revealed in response to the Yahud (Jews) who continuously argued that if Prophethood were true, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ should have come from the Bani Israel (Children of Israel).
📌 This verse silences their claim by reminding them:
Allah is the Lord of all, both theirs and ours
Deeds matter more than lineage
Disputing the authenticity of the Prophet ﷺ is equivalent to disputing Allah Himself, for he is His chosen Messenger
✅ [280] Sincerity to Allah Means Loyalty to His Messenger ﷺ
When the verse says, "We are sincere to Him alone," it means our hearts, intentions, and actions are purely for Allah.
📌 But what does true sincerity to Allah mean?
It means complete loyalty to His beloved Prophet ﷺ
Obeying the Messenger is equal to obeying Allah Himself
📖 As Allah declares:
"Whoever obeys the Messenger has indeed obeyed Allah." (Surah 4: Verse 80)
🚫 The claim of sincerity to Allah without showing devotion and submission to the Prophet ﷺ is baseless.
📌 This verse also refutes modern misguided ideologies, such as that of the Wahabi movement, who claim direct loyalty to Allah while undermining the role and status of the Prophet ﷺ—a position rejected by the true Ulema of Arabia and the Indo-Pak subcontinent.

📖 Al Baqarah (2:138) – English Translation
Verse: 138. We embrace the colour (of Islam and piety) [278] of Allah, and whose colour is better than Allah’s? We worship Him alone.
Tafsir:
📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Baqarah – Verse 138
"We embrace the colour (of Islam and piety) [278] of Allah, and whose colour is better than Allah’s? We worship Him alone."
✅ [278] The Colour of Allah – Symbol of True Faith and Purity
This verse uses the metaphor of “the colour of Allah” to describe the pure spiritual identity of a Muslim.
The Nasara (Christians) would perform a ritual anointment (baptism) on their children using holy water, which they considered a symbol of initiation into their faith.
Similarly, Hindus celebrate Holi, where colour is applied during their festival.
📌 In contrast, Islamic colour is not external—it permeates the heart and soul of a believer. It signifies a complete transformation of inner faith, character, and lifestyle.
Muslims are:
Hued in the divine colour of Islam
Their hearts and lives reflect the light of Tawheed, Imaan, and Taqwa
💡 Hence, the verse declares:
“Whose colour can be better than Allah’s?” Because no man-made ritual or symbolism can compare with the purity of faith given by Allah.

📖 Al Baqarah (2:137) – English Translation
Verse: 137. So if they believe in the same as you believe in [275], then they have been rightly guided. But if they turn away, then they are merely in dissension, and (O Beloved) Allah will be sufficient [276] for you against them. Indeed, Allah is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing [277].
Tafsir:
📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Baqarah – Verse 137
"So if they believe in the same as you believe in [275], then they have been rightly guided. But if they turn away, then they are merely in dissension, and (O Beloved) Allah will be sufficient [276] for you against them. Indeed, Allah is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing [277]."
✅ [275] True Guidance Is Following the Belief of the Companions
This verse teaches us that true faith lies in believing as the Companions (Sahabah) of the Holy Prophet ﷺ believed.
Those whose beliefs match the beliefs of the Companions are on the path of true guidance
Those whose beliefs contradict the Companions’ creed are without true faith and have gone astray
📌 The Sahabah are the foundation stones of Imaan, and deviation from their beliefs is misguidance
✅ [276] Allah Will Suffice You Against Those Who Oppose
This part of the verse teaches that rejecting even one fundamental issue of faith is equal to rejecting all.
📖 Historical Note: When Hazrat Uthman bin Affan (RA) was martyred by the Egyptian rebels, he was:
Reciting the Qur’an
Struck on his hands while reading this very verse:
“Allah will be sufficient for you against them”
His blood fell upon this verse, and he said:
“By the Name of Allah – this is the hand that first wrote the Qur’an.”
📜 That Qur’an with the blood stains remained preserved and was witnessed by many for years—a powerful sign of the truth of this verse.
✅ [277] A Prophecy of Victory Despite Weakness
This verse also contains a prophecy:
Though the Muslims were few in number, and the enemies were stronger, Allah promised victory to the believers
This came true:
Some Yahud of Madinah were killed
Others were banished
📌 Even till the Day of Judgment, Muslims in small numbers, if sincere in their faith, can defeat stronger disbelievers—by the help of Allah.
📖 Allah promises:
“And you are the very same who shall overcome—if you have faith.” (Surah 3: Verse 139)

📖 Al Baqarah (2:136) – English Translation
Verse: 136.Say (O Muslims): "We believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Ibrahim, Ismail, Ishaaq [271], Yaqub, and the descendants [272], and what was granted to Musa and Isa, and what was given to the other Prophets [273] from their Lord. We make no distinction in faith [274] between any of them, and we have submitted to Him."
Tafsir:
📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Baqarah – Verse 136
"Say (O Muslims): 'We believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Ibrahim, Ismail, Ishaaq [271], Yaqub, and the descendants [272], and what was granted to Musa and Isa, and what was given to the other Prophets [273] from their Lord. We make no distinction in faith [274] between any of them, and we have submitted to Him.'"
✅ [271] Hazrat Ismail, Ishaaq, and Yaqub – Preachers of the Same Divine Message
This verse mentions Hazrat Ibrahim, Ismail, Ishaaq, and Yaqub, all great Prophets of Allah.
Hazrat Ishaaq and Yaqub (AS) were not given new scrolls (Suhuf)
Instead, they preached the same Sahifa (divine scroll) that was revealed to Hazrat Ibrahim (AS)
📌 Hence, the verse does not separately mention new revelations for them, but affirms that they were part of the same chain of guidance
✅ [272] Descendants of Yaqub (AS) – Proof of Prophethood
Some Ulema (Islamic scholars) interpret this verse as evidence that all the children of Hazrat Yaqub (AS) — including the brothers of Hazrat Yusuf (AS) — were Prophets.
This is inferred from the phrase “descendants” being directly included in the honored list of Prophets
Thus, it reflects the collective sanctity of Hazrat Yaqub's lineage
✅ [273] Belief in All Prophets Without Counting Their Exact Number
This verse teaches us two important principles:
We must believe in all the Prophets sent by Allah
It is not necessary—nor proven conclusively—to know the exact number of Prophets
📌 Though their status may differ, all Prophethood itself is genuine and divinely appointed.
✅ [274] Equal Faith in All Prophets – No Rejection Permissible
This verse clarifies a core tenet of Islamic belief:
All Prophets are equal in their truthfulness and authenticity—none are counterfeit or transitory
It is Fard (obligatory) to believe in every Prophet sent by Allah
Rejecting even one Prophet is an act of Kufr (disbelief)
📌 While Allah Himself has granted higher ranks to certain Prophets, we are not allowed to show bias in faith between them.
We accept the distinctions in status, but not in belief or truth.

📖 Al Baqarah (2:135) – English Translation
Verse: 135. And they (the people of the Book) say, "Be Yahud or Nasara, and you will be guided." Say (O Muhammad): "Rather, we follow the religion of Ibrahim, inclining toward truth [269], and he was not among the polytheists [270]."
Tafsir:
📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Baqarah – Verse 135
"And they (the People of the Book) say, 'Be Yahud or Nasara, and you will be guided.' Say (O Muhammad): 'Rather, we follow the religion of Ibrahim, inclining toward truth [269], and he was not among the polytheists [270].'"
✅ [269] The Pure Religion of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS)
Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) was a true believer, and his religion was free from any adulteration or mix with false beliefs.
The religion of Ibrahim was pristine monotheism, untainted by innovation or idol worship
Just like people value pure gold or unmixed milk, pure faith is equally cherished and honoured
🕊️ Du‘ā: May Allah bless us with such a pure and unshaken faith. Ameen.
✅ [270] Refutation of the Jews and Christians Who Claimed to Follow Ibrahim
This verse directly refutes both the Yahud and Nasara, who:
Claimed to follow Hazrat Ibrahim (AS)
But in practice, indulged in shirk (idol worship) and man-made doctrines
📌 Allah responds:
A true Ibrahimi is one who follows the way of Ibrahim (AS)—and he was not a polytheist
Hence, their claims of association with Ibrahim (AS) are baseless, as idol worship contradicts his pure monotheism.
✅ Additional Lessons from This Verse
1. The widespread honour of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS): Allah has granted Hazrat Ibrahim such universal respect that even followers of other religions claim pride in being associated with him.
2. Noble lineage alone is not enough: Being from a noble ancestry holds no value if one's actions and beliefs are not like theirs. True guidance is in following the path, not just claiming the name.
3. Resolving religious differences: When there are differences in opinion, the solution lies in turning to universally respected figures, like the Companions (Sahabah) or authentic Ahadith of the Prophet ﷺ.
4. Greatness of a religion is shown by the greatness of its founder: Allah highlights the honour of Ibrahim (AS) to establish the greatness of his religion, showing that a pure and noble origin reflects in the purity of the faith.

📖 Al Baqarah (2:134) – English Translation
Verse: 134. That was a nation that has passed away; they will have what they earned, and you will have what you earn. And you will not be questioned about their deeds [268].
Tafsir:
📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Baqarah – Verse 134
"That was a nation that has passed away; they will have what they earned, and you will have what you earn. And you will not be questioned about their deeds [268]."
✅ [268] Accountability Is Based on One's Own Actions, Not Ancestry
Whenever the Yahud (Jews) failed to provide evidence for their beliefs or actions, they would fall back on saying:
"Even if we are wrong, we will be redeemed by the righteousness of our ancestors, such as Hazrat Yaqub (AS)."
📖 In response, this verse was revealed (as noted in Tafseer Roohul-Bayaan) to refute this logic.
Key lessons from this verse:
Every nation and generation is responsible for its own actions
Ancestry alone cannot save anyone in the Hereafter
What counts is what you earn through your own deeds
✅ Worship and Deeds Cannot Substitute Without Intention
This verse also clarifies an important principle of worship:
Bodily acts of worship (like Salaah, fasting, Hajj) cannot be performed on behalf of another—each person must earn their own spiritual reward
This is based on the wording: “what they earned” and “what you earn”
However:
In the case of monetary acts of worship (like Sadaqah, sacrifice, building a mosque), it is permissible to deputize someone
The reward of good deeds (monetary or recitational) can be conveyed to the souls of others
🕊️ This highlights that while ancestral nobility is respected, salvation is earned, not inherited.

📖 Al Baqarah (2:133) – English Translation
Verse: 133. Were you present when death came to Yaqub [266] and he asked his sons, "What will you worship after me?" They replied, "We will worship your God and the God of your forefathers, Ibrahim, Ismail, and Ishaq—One God [267], and to Him we submit."
Tafsir:
📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Baqarah – Verse 133
"Were you present when death came to Yaqub [266] and he asked his sons, 'What will you worship after me?' They replied, 'We will worship your God and the God of your forefathers, Ibrahim, Ismail, and Ishaq—One God [267], and to Him we submit.'"
✅ [266] The Final Will of Yaqub (AS) and the Refutation of Jewish Claims
The Yahud (Jews) would boastfully claim that Hazrat Yaqub (AS) had commanded his sons to follow Judaism.
To discredit this false claim, Allah revealed this verse showing that Yaqub (AS) enjoined his sons to:
Worship the One True God,
The same Lord of Ibrahim, Ismail, and Ishaq,
And remain firm on Tawheed (monotheism), not any specific ethnicity-based religion
🧠 This verse also highlights important life lessons:
A father’s most vital concern is the faith and future of his children
Religion is the most precious legacy a parent can leave
Without true Imaan, even being a Prophet’s child is of no value
✅ [267] The True God and the True Religion
This verse confirms that:
The One True Lord is the God of the Prophets — the Lord of Ibrahim, Ismail, and Ishaq
These Prophets are living proofs of Allah’s existence and attributes
📌 Thus, the true religion is the one that was practised by these noble Prophets and saints, and the true Lord is He in Whom they believed.
🕊️ Real submission means to follow their path, both in belief and in practice.

📖 Al Baqarah (2:132) – English Translation
Verse: 132.And Ibrahim instructed his sons, and so did Yaqub, saying: "O my sons! Indeed, Allah has chosen for you the religion, so do not die except as Muslims" [265].
Tafsir:
📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Baqarah – Verse 132
"And Ibrahim instructed his sons, and so did Yaqub, saying: 'O my sons! Indeed, Allah has chosen for you the religion, so do not die except as Muslims' [265]."
✅ [265] Real Success Lies in Dying as a Muslim
This verse teaches that true success is not just in living as a Muslim, but in dying as one.
Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Yaqub (AS) both instructed their children to:
Remain firm on the chosen religion
Ensure that they die in the state of submission (i.e. as Muslims)
📌 The term “Muslims” here refers to:
The followers of the pure monotheistic faith of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS)
Those who submit to the will of Allah sincerely and completely
🕊️ Du‘ā: May Allah grant us the gift of true Imaan and allow us to die with firm faith. Ameen.

📖 Al Baqarah (2:131) – English Translation
Verse: 131. And [recall] when his Lord said to him, "Submit." He replied, "I have submitted to the Lord of the Worlds."
Tafsir:
📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Baqarah – Verse 131
"And [recall] when his Lord said to him, 'Submit.' He replied, 'I have submitted to the Lord of the Worlds.'"
✅ [131] Instant Submission – The Mark of True Prophethood
This verse beautifully illustrates the absolute obedience of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS).
When Allah said to him:
"Submit," he instantly replied: "I have submitted to the Lord of the Worlds."
This shows:
The essence of Islam is submission to Allah’s command without hesitation
Hazrat Ibrahim’s immediate response demonstrates his pure faith and sincerity
✅ True Islam Begins with Complete Obedience
Hazrat Ibrahim (AS)’s reply, “I have submitted,” (i.e. Aslamtu) indicates:
He accepted Islam in its truest, original form — total submission to the will of Allah
His Islam was not based on compulsion or conditions, but on deep conviction and love for Allah
📌 This is the spirit of real faith — to submit unconditionally to Allah’s decree, just as Ibrahim (AS) did.

📖 Al Baqarah (2:130) – English Translation
Verse: 130. And who can turn away from the religion of Ibrahim except one who has made a fool of himself? Indeed, We have chosen him in this world, and surely in the Hereafter, he will be among the righteous [264].
Tafsir:
📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Baqarah – Verse 130
"And who can turn away from the religion of Ibrahim except one who has made a fool of himself? Indeed, We have chosen him in this world, and surely in the Hereafter, he will be among the righteous [264]."
✅ [264] The Religion of Hazrat Ibrahim – The Clear Proof of True Guidance
This verse teaches that the true religion is the one followed by the noble predecessors, especially Hazrat Ibrahim (AS).
His life is a clear and compelling proof of divine guidance
Allah Himself presents the religion of Ibrahim as evidence for the truth of Islam
📌 Therefore, whoever deviates from the pure monotheism and values of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) is only fooling himself, losing both honour and salvation
✅ The Value of Noble Companionship
Even if we ourselves are not noble, we should strive to remain in the company of the righteous, for:
Just like a trailer is transported when attached to a powered vehicle,
Or a thread is sold along with a necklace of beads,
The company of the pious elevates those who sincerely remain connected to them
🕊️ This emphasizes the importance of:
Following the legacy of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS)
Keeping company with the righteous, so we too may be counted among the saved

📖 Al Baqarah (2:129) – English Translation
Verse: 129.Our Lord! And send among them a Messenger from themselves who will recite to them Your verses [260], teach them the Scripture and wisdom [262], and purify them [263]. Indeed, You are the Most Exalted, the All-Wise.
Tafsir:
📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Baqarah – Verse 129
"Our Lord! And send among them a Messenger from themselves who will recite to them Your verses [260], teach them the Scripture and wisdom [262], and purify them [263]. Indeed, You are the Most Exalted, the All-Wise."
✅ [260] The Du‘ā for the Final Messenger – Fulfilled in the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
This verse refers to the du‘ā of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) in which he prayed for:
A Messenger to be raised from among his descendants
Who would recite Allah’s verses to the people
And be from among them (the Arabs)
📌 This du‘ā was accepted and fulfilled in the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, who is:
The final Messenger
The glad tidings of Hazrat Isa (AS)
And the fulfillment of Hazrat Ibrahim’s prayer
✅ [261] The Pure Lineage of the Prophet ﷺ
It must be remembered that the Holy Prophet ﷺ was born into the class of true believers. His forefathers were all monotheists, and protected from:
Idolatry
Infidelity
Adultery
Other such evils
📚 This is a result of Hazrat Ibrahim’s blessed du‘ā, and is elaborated in detail in works like Tafseer Naeemi.
✅ [262] The Prophet’s ﷺ Mission – Divine Teaching and Wisdom
Hazrat Ibrahim’s du‘ā included several distinct requests regarding the Holy Prophet ﷺ, all of which were fulfilled:
He be born in Makkah
Be a Messenger with a revealed Book (Qur’an)
Be blessed with wisdom (interpreted as Hadith)
Be a universal educator, taught by Allah Himself
His companions be pure believers, not sinners or wrongdoers
📌 From this, it is clear that those who accuse the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ of sinfulness or hypocrisy are, in essence, rejecting the accepted du‘ā of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS).
✅ [263] Purification by the Most Enlightened Teacher
How blessed and fortunate is that Ummah who were purified completely by the most enlightened Messenger ﷺ.
This verse also reminds us that the Holy Ka'bah, where this du‘ā was made, is a place of accepted prayers, and the Prophet’s ﷺ arrival is the greatest manifestation of its acceptance.

📖 Al Baqarah (2:128) – English Translation
Verse: 128.Our Lord! Make us submissive to Your will, and raise from our descendants [259] a nation that is submissive to You. Teach us the rituals of our worship, and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Most Relenting, the Ever Merciful.
Tafsir:
📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Baqarah – Verse 128
"Our Lord! Make us submissive to Your will, and raise from our descendants [259] a nation that is submissive to You. Teach us the rituals of our worship, and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Most Relenting, the Ever Merciful."
✅ [259] Du‘ā for Submission and Righteous Offspring
In this verse, Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS) pray for:
Personal submission to Allah’s will
That a righteous nation be raised from their descendants—fully submissive to Allah
That Allah teaches them the correct rituals of worship
That Allah accepts their repentance and continues to shower mercy
📌 This verse reflects:
The deep foresight of Prophets in not just praying for themselves, but also for their future Ummah
The importance of correct method (manāsik) in worship, not just sincerity
✅ Descendants of the Prophet ﷺ and Divine Guidance
From the acceptance of this du‘ā of Hazrat Ibrahim, we understand:
That the descendants of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, being from the lineage of Hazrat Ibrahim, were included in this accepted prayer
Therefore, it is understood that they will not go astray, for Allah granted guidance and mercy through this prayer
🕊️ This verse reinforces the spiritual rank and special status of the Ahl al-Bayt (household of the Prophet ﷺ), as they are among the fulfilment of this prophetic supplication.

📖 Al Baqarah (2:127) – English Translation
Verse: 127. And [recall] when Ibrahim was raising the foundations [257] of the House (Ka'bah) along with Ismail, (praying): "O our Lord! Accept this from us. Indeed, You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing [258]."
Tafsir:
📖 Commentary of Surah Al-Baqarah – Verse 127
"And [recall] when Ibrahim was raising the foundations [257] of the House (Ka'bah) along with Ismail, (praying): 'O our Lord! Accept this from us. Indeed, You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing [258].'"
✅ [257] Building Mosques with Purity and Du‘ā
This verse shows that Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS), while raising the foundations of the Ka'bah, continuously made du‘ā, asking Allah to accept their effort.
From this, we learn:
It is commendable for pious Muslims to be employed in mosque construction
Such work should ideally be done in a state of Wudu (ritual purity)
Du‘ā during righteous work, especially when building Allah’s House, is a sign of humility and sincerity
📌 This verse is often cited as proof for the tradition of remaining spiritually pure while engaged in religious construction work
✅ [258] The Ka'bah and Makkah – Permanence and Divine Response
This verse, while referring to the House of Allah, also implies the permanent sanctity of Makkah.
Key lessons:
The term “city” (as mentioned in previous verses) indicates that Makkah will always remain a city, never reduced to a village
Even if it experiences no material growth, its inhabitants will never go hungry
True servants of Allah, such as Hazrat Ibrahim and Hazrat Ismail, receive quick divine responses to their prayers due to their obedience and nearness to Allah
🕊️ Allah is As-Samee‘ (All-Hearing) and Al-‘Aleem (All-Knowing)—He hears even the quietest prayers and knows the deepest intentions.
