       ❛ just give me a second  ,  dude  .  ❜     the brunette says  ,   eyes trained on the laptop   (  old reliable ,  she takes to calling it these days  )    as her fingers moved across the keyboard  .  they had the muscle memory  ,   of course  ,   so that skye wouldn’t have to look at her fingers — but she liked to make sure she got through the job  .  said job being looking up  anything  about the  rude customer from this morning out there  .  the girl presses the  Enter key as she looked up  ,   screen searching all databases  .      ❛ —  okay , aye  .   wassup ?  ❜

as it turned out, even if you woke up one morning more confused than not, with a feeling of heaviness and dreadfulness clutching your chest and the inability to place where it was coming from. even if you had to puzzle your life back together as best as you could with all the missing pieces, you could always rely on exercise to take away some of the tension. and so there she was, in one of new york’s shadiest and less known gyms, punching the bag as if her life depended on it. 

“ten more minutes and it is all yours.” sweat was dripping from her forehead as her head turned slightly to look at the other with a small smile. 

       the smell of  SWEAT  fills her nostrils  ,   non sensual grunts  ,   and weird  squeaking  on mats were all parts of the reason that skye has never really  worked out  in the past  .   and yet ?   she wakes up this morning with an  URGE  to go to the gym  -  so alas  ,   with all her free time ?  she sneaks in  .   but  -  just because she can get in  ,   doesn’t mean she knows how to  use  any of the equipment  .  

        “  you’re fine  .   i have a feeling that if i use that  ,   it’ll punch me right back  .  ”    there’s a chuckle of amusement at her own self  ,   head shaking  .    “  i need like  ,   the most  BEGINNER  thing here  .  ”

it’s strange. possibly one of the strangest things he’s seen. well, in real life that is. his dreams tended to be as weird as this; sometimes he’d see something akin to blue fire or lightening come from his fingertips. sometimes there were aliens - and not the kind from any sci-fi movie he’s watched. but those were dreams. nonsensical things his subconscious brought up because of his tendency to lose hours to comic books. either way, that was fiction. this… thing was right THERE. he’d had to tilt his head back quite a bit just to take in all of it. his fingers twitch slightly; itching to not only touch it but draw it. immortalize it in his sketchbook. without turning to the person next to him, he practically breathes out, “what is this?”

          dark eyes enjoy the scene too  ,   skye sitting out there to watch it go by  .   she has  THEORIES  ,   of course !   but she’s not trying to  scare  the kid into thinking she’s a conspiracist theorist    (  she’s not  ;   skye is just a  VERY  open minded woman  ,   she likes to think  )  .      “  ---  aliens  .  ”    is what she settles on  ,   nodding up at it  .      “  ...  unless you have any other suggestions ?  ”

“excuse me!” tony stark wa an adorned name, even with people who weren’t gifted. asking where stark industries was located wouldn’t hurt, right? not be questioned, even. the first person she caught eyes with would be the one to ask. “sorry, but do you know how to get to stark industries?” nothing but a new girl in new york, right? 

       she pauses  ,   fingers pushing stray hairs to the side  .    “  do i  KNOW  how to get to stark industries ?  ”   oh does she  -  almost  too well  ,   if she’s being honest  .   skye was  just  there a few years ago  ,   and whole ass  BUILDING  doesn’t just move in new york city  ,   no matter how much  money and superpowers  were involved  .     “  --  yeah  ,   i can walk you there  .   the gps get a bit  WACK  in that area  .  ”

blue  eyes  are  focused  above  him,    it’s  dark,   cloudy,   it’s  about  to  rain—   or  so  he  predicts.    it’s  one  of  those  days  in  new  york,   quite  gloomy,    he  noticed  people  with  their  umbrellas  ready  JUST  IN  CASE,   but  there’s  a  tiny  piece  of  sky  that  still  lingers  bright,   a  hint  of  the  sun  hiding  behind  the  big  clouds.    perhaps  he  should  be  heading  out  soon,   but  for  the  first  time  in  a  while,   there’s  a  certain  feeling  of  peace  surrounding  him.    he  has  questions,   maybe  TOO  MANY  to  be  answered  easily,   but  for  one  moment,   and  thanks  to  the  freshly  brewed  coffee,   the  tranquility  pushes  them  away.    he  notices  a  stranger  just  a  few  feet  away,   then  looks  behind  him  to  pinpoint  what  could  possibly  bring  her  here.    all  the  seats  are  taken,   except  for  the  one  beside  his  table.     “ looking  for  a  seat,   ma’m? ”     steve  asks,   curiously,   as  her  presence  distracts  him  from  the  sight.     “that  one’s  empty   …   i  heard  they  serve  the  best  coffee  in  new  york  right  there,    this  place  is  at  the  verge  of  OVERFLOW,   god  knows  how  many  people  visit  in  one  day  alone. ”

        her subtly  ,   though she had apparently  GAINED  some within the past few months  -  is still  ...  lacking  ,   for a lack of better wording  .   she thinks that the coffee shop is starting to  CATCH ON  to her using them for her free wifi  ;   but skye has  ...  assets that she puts to use when it comes to both the baristas  and  managers up front  .   today  ,   she does make an appearance  OUT  of her van  ;   cleaned  ,   with a fresh pair of clothes  .   it’s a  GOOD DAY  ,   according to her weather app  .   fall is moving in  ,   and the people of twitter have spoken  :   she should  definitely  go outside and enjoy the damn weather  .   with a cup of  HOT CHOCOLATE  in her hand  ,   brown hues fall on the form  .   she  knows  him  .   or  ...  recognizes  him  .   ---  oh  ,   who is she kidding ?   this is  STEVE ROGERS  .   skye’s cosplayed outside of stark tower before  .   she definitely knows who he is  .   still  ;   they’re in  PUBLIC  ,   she’s got to keep her cool  ,   right ?   “  thanks mr  ...  sir !  ”   a quick smile  ,   she’s hoping it’s not too awkward before she plops herself down  .   skye turns to him  ,   legs crossing as she does so and holds up her cup slightly  .     “  it’s actually  hot chocolate  .   i have yet to find a coffee i  actually  enjoy  ;   but  ...  i did take to instagram for suggestions  .  ”   wind blows  ,    causing some  dark hair  to fly astray before she pushes it away  .     “  --  it is a whole lot less  chaotic  than i expected  ,   with all the internet buzz going on about the place lately  .  ”

seems like DAISY JOHNSON  SKYE  didn’t survive thanos’ snap. what does this mean for the future of QUAKE? hopefully their +QUICKTHINKING, as well as their -IMPULSIVENESS will keep them sane through it all. 

     ‘SUP MOTHER FUCKERS !!  so i’m walking in 10 years late  ,  but it’s a-okay bc i got some starbgucks for everyone !!  anyways it’s penny again   (  again cindy  )  .   i swear i’m alive i’ve just been tryna pass school and shit  .   anyways  ,   this is my  MAIN SQUEEZE  daisy johnson  ;   my a1 since day 1 .  i do play her as a mix from agents of shield & the comics  ;   but for the sake of the rp she’ll be more aos than comics !  that being said  ,   i haven’t finished season five because i’m a traitor  BUT  -   that’s what wikis are for amiright !?!?!?!?!   for those who’ve watched  ,   she’s  technically  canon to s5  ,   but literally is being played from before she even joined shield bc she don’t remember shit !!  so that’s s1 daisy  .   so she ain’t even daisy  ,   she’s straight up  skye  .   for those of you who want to know the whole canon schpeal  ,   the wiki’s right over  here  .   for those of you who literally couldn’t give less of a fuck  -  here’s the sparknotes version of her !  

has never known her birth parents  ,   was raised in st. agnes’ orphanage / foster care literally all her life  ,   used to be called  mary sue poots  UNTIL  she made the decision to be called skye  .  

was a lil’ bit of a rebel at the orphanage  ,   always liked to get dirty  ,   climb trees  ,   definitely had nuns scolding her once a week  .   

was never in a foster home for longer than a year  ,   was always returned due to   ‘ complications ’   

which yanno  ,   led her to having trust issues  ,   etc  .  

dipped from the orphanage when she turned 18  ;   she never finished high school  ,   but instead got into a whole  HACKING  business  -  and she’s  damn good  at it . 

lives in a van  ,   basically homeless  .   has all of her equipment in said van  .  

is searching for anything about her parents   (  but literally cannot find anything due to shield hiding it from her  ,   plus being the reason she was moved around so much  )  .  

superhero fangirl  ,   but working on keeping down her hype  .   she’s tryna be cool  .  

her powers are  TECHNICALLY  activated  ,   but daisy isn’t aware  .   she assumes it’s coincidence or pure luck  ,   if something works out in her favor  .
