Romance,

It’s always been a wonder and a delight for me.

I’ve read it, my eyes eagerly swallowing the stained ink on page after page.

I’ve written it, my pencil splicing through the dim light of my bedroom as I ponder what to put down next.

But a few times, I’ve indulged in it. I’ve had hands held, smiles dawned and even kisses shyly pecked. Now, after time has taken its toll on my youthful vision, I dare to indulge once again in this spectrum called romance.

There’s a chance it may be without the hands being held and the kisses pecked, at least around others, but am I loved?

Am I being read and written into yet another story of romance?

I think so. The page turns as each day passes, wrinkling further and I can only hope it’s kind to me as a reader, a writer and now once again, an indulger.

An indulger in all things wonderful and delightful.
