If He Had Been With Me

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 Genre: Fiction

Soooo I have a lot of opiates on this book. I think it’s a super good book up until the last part. I get that it’s supposed to be sad and stuff but the ending was unrealistic. ⚠️SPOLIER BEYOND THIS POINT⚠️ I think it’s lazy that two people got pregnant after having sex ONE TIME. I’m fully aware this happens but not super often and both of them?! I have trouble believing that. Anyways otherwise it’s good and really touching, I really felt for Autumn. TW for suicide. I know there’s a lot of trigger warnings for all the books i’ve mentioned but the next one has only one trigger warning I promise.

If Only I Had Told Her

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Genre: Fiction

This is the second book to If He Had Been With Me but honestly I like it more. It tells the story from three characters perspectives. ⚠️SPOILER AGAIN⚠️ It has the perspective of Finny before he dies, Jack (his best friends) after he dies, and Autumns perspective after as well. This is the only book that’s made me cry. However it has one major flaw, which is the ending!!!! It ends on Autumns perspective but it just seemed lazy. Like the author didn’t know how to end the book so she made autumn make up with her ex and everything was good. I’m not sure maybe some people think that that’s a good ending but personally I found it lazy. But if you read If He Had Been With Me then you should read this too.

Girl in Pieces

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Genre: Fiction

This book is my favorite book of all time. I was reluctant at first because of my history and all the things that go on in this book but I got it on sale and it’s fine. HUGE HUGE HUGE trigger warning for self harm, suicide, drugs, alcohol, mental hospitals, sexual assault, and abuse. I personally loved this book because it wasn’t just about a mentally unwell person, it was a love story and a story of healing. Overall just a truly touching book and it will always have a special place in my heart

Delirium

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Genre: Dystopian

This is one of my all-time favorite books everrrr. I really enjoyed it because of the light romance and I personally really like that sort of stuff. Maybe steer clear if you're sensitive to suicide and violence. This is a trilogy but the second and third ones aren't that great or really worth reading.

Hell Followed With Us

Rating:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Genre: Young Adult LGBTQ+ Dystopian

This is a super-duper good book. I read it a couple years back and its really good. I would kind of steer clear from it if you're sensitive to homophobia, transphobia, gore, deadnaming, misgendering, cults or if you have religious trauma. However, despite all the trigger warnings I just had to mention its a very good book. If none of those things bother you then you then you should check it out!!
