The interrogation room was a place Gavin had been in many times questioning the innocent and the guilty. Gavin was all too familiar with its layout. A medium sized room including a steel table with steel chairs to match and a one-way mirror, which Gavin was usually on the opposite side of; listening in on whatever truth or lie a suspect gave without their knowledge. 

Gavin couldn’t count the amount of times he’d seen suspects foolishly try to wrestle with officers as a last ditch effort to escape. Or the times he witnessed the same suspects breakdown while giving officers all the information they needed after being threated with a heavy prison sentence. The look of exasperation on their lawyer’s face as they gave up everything all in exchange for a chance at a lighter sentence, made things that much sweeter. 

This room was filled with stories of lies and the essence of people who were pure scum. It was no place for the innocent.
