can we just take a moment to appreciate Madison Reyes 😌 she is only 17 years old and she has a powerful and beautiful voice. She is a talented actress and she got an Emmy nomination for her first project. She is making an EP while dealing with school and she dropped an original song Te Amo that really bops :)) and here we are, not trending, not talking enough about her

she doesn’t get enough appreciation and I’m so tired of it. The boys are really talented and hot: okay we get it, everyone know about it BUT not many people know that this was her FIRST professional project and she is really the one who is singing not like Zac Efron in HSM 1 (no hate on Zac, just an example) and she was 14 when she did the audition! 15/16 when she recorded the album and filmed the show! LIKE WHAT!!!!?!?!?!??? AND WE ARE NOT TRENDING ABOUT THIS??!!!

i wasn’t gonna say anything cause, i don’t have all the facts but

I do believe Charlie should speak up. While I understand he is an animal rights activist, many bipoc fans have spoken up about harassment they have faced from white people in the fandom, especially his white fandom

does this mean we should retaliate by harassing Charlie, no I think we need to educate and hold him accountable for not using his platform when people telling him there is a real issue.

that being said if someone chooses to defend Charlie, don’t attack them. I get ur angry, believe me I do, but you can’t fight fire with fire, and expect to get good results. We can not create a toxic environment when we are trying to fight real issues.

now personally I feel like this doesn’t directly affect you or your community you can’t “forgive” hun for not saying anything

but if you’re defending Charlie i hope you have a good reason. This fandom in general faces a lot of issues with racism and sexism whether y’all admit it or not, and I believe Charlie is a genuinely good person, but let’s not defend this privileged white man just because, especially if this isn’t your fight to be fighting.

I’m gonna shut my mouth now, but I just want y’all to know that I understand your frustration and annoyance because I feel it too, but along with Charlie we need to hold ourselves accountable.

So here is what I know about the Charlie situation, if any of you guys would like to message me telling me about it I would love that, (these are NOT facts, just what I’m gathering from a non-biase pov)

1) a girl on tik tok and or Instagram stated she was in a group chat with Charlie and her friends

2) At least 1 (one) girl in said group chat was a minor (confirmed in bio)

3) Charlie Had asked for fanfic recommendations, and someone said something about a smut fic

4) Charlie had asked what smut was, they explained it, and he proceeded to talk about the explicit fic despite at least 1 (one) person being a minor

nobody else has brought this up (that I’ve seen) but you shouldn’t be writing smut about characters who are supposed to be underage either? idk if that’s an opinion or a fact sorry

5) Charlie did NOT, however, act “creepy“ towards the people in the group chat, and just treated them like his friends (which no, he shouldn’t be doing that either.)

6) he allegedly said something about confirming l*lex? the girl who were posting these screenshots and stuff is also a confirmed l*lex shipper

and 7) people think they’re faked DMs so that l*lex shippers could get people to convert or something?

8) this is bad because actors shouldnt be treating fans like their friends (especially minors), shouldn’t be confirming non cannon things, and shouldnt be engaging in the fandom like he has been in general (this is not his first time being in a gc with fans)

so that’s what I know? if someone would like to explain it more to me please pop into my messages (are they called DMs on tumblr?) please try to format it like you’re explaining it to a 3rd grader because I’m a little slow and I want to understand what’s happening with zero confusion or forced bias

I know I’m not that big of a blog but I feel that I need to discuss the Charlie situation.

If you didn’t know, there’s a video of fans supposedly talking to Charlie in a groupchat talking about fanfics. He’s not actually supposed to be reading fanfics but that’s for another day.

Charlie needs to set boundaries with fans because it’s getting really weird. Celebrities shouldn’t be in groupchats with fans, it’s a well known fact. Especially because these fans, or at least one of them, is underage and he was asking about smut. Or asking, actually. I understand he’s trying to be nice but he NEEDS to set boundaries and realize that he isn’t being a mean person for doing so.

I don’t know if the screenshots are fake, there’s proof for being real and fake so it’s hard to find out, but either way Charlie AND Owen have to set boundaries or fans aren’t going to listen.

And yes, everyone would love to have a conversation with their favorite Celebrity, I know I would, but adding them to group chats or calling them, finding their home adress, etc is not okay.

yall can we just stop asking if charlie is dating every single female he interacts with?

there was a post on instagram reposting one of the instastories of him from today and i kid you not, every single comment was “are they dating?” or “is this his girlfriend?” or other things along those lines.

we just went through this with him and chevel, charlie has a lot of female friends, that does not mean that he’s dating all or any of them

leave the boy alone!!! if he is dating someone and he decides to tell us then great, but until then STOP MAKING ASSUMPTIONS !

i mentioned this last time this happened that it literally ruins friendships, i would know, i’ve been in his position and it fucking sucks

i know you’re all just trying to find out more about his life but guess what?
