It's my blorbos birthday today :)

To celebrate I prepared this thing a couple of days in advance. It could probably look better, but I'm too lazy to change anything or make a new one

SHE'S GONNA TAKE HER WISPS Y'ALL I'M CALLING IT

So I’ve had this silly au thing about Whisper meeting team Dark in my brain for a while so I figured I might as well put it here

While Whisper is off doing her own thing away from the restoration (aka after issue #45) she goes to raid an old Eggman base she thinks Mimic might be hiding in and runs into team Dark (I don’t know why. Getting ammo for Omega maybe???  He has to get ammo somewhere right???) so they team up to fight the remaining badniks in the base

Since Whisper has been on her own for a while with nothing but her wisps and wispon and she’s constantly worried about being attacked she’s hungry, sleep deprived and overall a mess. and Rouge sees this and she’s like “well obviously we can’t leave this kid alone look at her” so she tries to convince Whisper to travel with them for a while so she can relax a little. Shadow is against the idea at first but then Whisper explains she can’t go with them because she’s afraid Mimic might hurt them. The fact Whisper thinks Shadow can’t defend himself against a clown with a knife greatly offends him so now he’s going along with it to prove himself.

so after a lot of convincing she finally agrees to stick with them, but only for one day (spoiler: it wasn’t just one day). shenanigans ensue.

Whisper and Shadow would be distant with each other at first, Whisper because of the Shadow android thing and Shadow because, well, Sega mandates that he is. But after Whisper shares her past (don’t ask how or why I don’t know) I think he’d be able to relate to her.

However because this is modern Shadow we’re talking about and I get to do whatever I want he decides to ‘take her under his wing’ and teach her his ways. Seeing how he is an extremely irresponsible 15-year-old this goes about as well as you’d expect. They visit a large city and he wakes Whisper up in the middle of the night to go wander shady allies looking for criminals so he can teach her ‘to strike fear into her enemy’. Rouge finds them passed out on the couch at 4 pm because they were convinced they could manage on 15 minutes of sleep. The next day at 3 am she hears rustling in the kitchen and finds both of them sitting on the counter eating straight coffee beans. They do combat training too, but that’s somehow their least chaotic activity (They were still forbidden by Rouge to do it near inhabited areas).

Speaking of Rouge, this isn’t the first time she’s had to deal with traumatized teens, and as the only semi-responsible semi-adult it’s on her to offer actually good advice when it comes to dealing with emotions and whatnot. She’s the one Whisper comes to when she wants to ask for help and wants an answer that doesn’t involve violence. Other than that Whisper helps with chores and doesn’t ask where Rouge keeps getting all those gems from so they get along.

Omega has mixed feelings. On one hand, she is a small, weak mobian. On the other hand, she’s okay with murder and tried to kill Eggman so he’s gotta have at least some respect for her. He helps with the combat training.

Tangle does eventually find Whisper and convinces her to go back to the restoration but they keep in touch and still work together when given the chance. At some point they find out about her crush on Tangle. Omega doesn’t care, Rouge teases both her and Tangle about it but lets them figure it out on their own. Shadow does not. Whisper tries to always keep Tangle and Shadow from being alone together because Shadow keeps trying to wingman her and can’t be subtle to save his life.  

Overall this au has no cohesive plot, just found family, crack, and vibes.
