at my eras tour show, taylor did clean as a surprise song, which is one of my absolute faves. 10/10, makes me cry every time.

that hope isn't so much of a hope as it is just something that is going to happen, by the way. you are brilliant.

I love when artists do cool and fun things at concerts, like play a surprise cover song, or bring out Taylor Swift... Have you ever been to concert that had an unexpected element to it? My jealousy of those who were in Nashville is unfounded, truly. I can only hope that someday I'm able to play for any kind of crowd, but especially one that's excited to hear the message I have to say.

rachel chooses to perform so much better in glee club because she quite literally feels...so much better. being able to shed the role of ms. norbury and make it someone else's problem and finally being in the spotlight with the plastics is a much better outcome than what she was dealing with before, and she finally feels like she can hold her head up high in rehearsal. she knows she'll rock the hell out of the karen smith role and while she isn't convinced that this is the perfect role for her, she's glad that the casting team has finally recognized that she cannot be relegated to the sidelines. her confidence is at an all time high, and even though things are not perfect in her personal life, she can't let herself sweat it for too long, because she's got scenes to steal and bows to take.

is there a song you no longer listen to because it reminds you of someone you don’t talk to anymore?

i haven't really been listening to the wicked soundtrack lately, as much as i love it.

rachel's face warms at his words, "thank you," she says, standing up and wrapping her arms around his neck in a hug, pressing a gentle kiss to his jaw, "your opinion is my most trusted, so that means a lot," she tells him, "i hate when i don't immediately feel like i've crushed something, the feeling is so foreign!"

"i've been enjoying the party, don't get me wrong. i mean, some of the performances were less than polished, but i really enjoyed some of them, and i had fun pretending to be jeremy jordan for a few minutes," she giggles, "and then i got overstimulated and maybe a little sad," she confesses, "and i felt like i needed to be with a piano, and that was helping a bit, but this is actually much better," she says, gesturing to him and taking his hand in hers.

"you're still learning. give yourself some grace." advice he'd actually never take himself, personally, but rachel was allowed to. "it didn't sound terrible to me. and you can't say i'm biased, because i thought it was alright before i even knew it was your work." to be fair, he wasn't sure there was a song that came from the voice of rachel berry that he could possibly dislike, but that didn't make his statement entirely untrue. "could use a little more tinkering, sure, but that's the point of a draft, right? i think it might be okay to let yourself put it down for now and enjoy the party."

oh! um, i think he has a girlfriend, so i'm good with watching from afar and appreciating the talent. i'm not one to step on another woman's toes when it comes to romance, but thank you for the offer! unless of course, you were kidding, then disregard me being silly.

No, but I know what I need to be spending my weekend doing now. Holler if you need a wing-woman! I'm going to look him up right now! As you shouldn't. It's always nice to be appreciated, so it doesn't hurt any to show it.
