While Kairi was out with her keyblade training, Rikku and Tidus ( @obstinatedreamer ) made their way into the room she was staying in for the night. Grinning from ear to ear, thief kept as watch while Tidus left a few baby chocobo chicks in her room before they left, hiding around the corner, snickering like a bunch of idiots as they waited for her to return -- listening for her reaction.

     “Ugh…So tired…” Her arms were sore. Her legs were sore. Let’s just leave it that her entire body was sore. She’d pushed a little too hard in training today. All she had on her mind now was a hot bath and snuggling down into bed. As she opened the door to head into her room she was met with a sight that didn’t quite fit how she had left her room.    Chocobo chicks. Everywhere. She blinked a few times until a sudden new source of energy flowed through her. 

    “Oh my god!!!! You’re so cute!”     The chicks swarmed out the door and the red head quickly chased after.   “Wait! Come back! Let me love you!”

     “Ground beef! Get it? Because it’s stuck on the ground?” She was way too proud of herself with this joke.

"What do you call a cow with no legs?"

Skuld looked at the red head and thought for a moment. “I’m not sure. What would you call one?”

     A bright smiled was expressed on her face and she booped her index finger on his nose. “It means I love you and Sora the most.”

“Well NOW you are.” He tried to swat her hands away, but it just wasn’t meant to be; Kairi’s cheek squishing game was too strong.  “You’re way too violent.”

     Kairi frowned at the remark. “I’m not violent. I just love others with powerful and unexpected responses.” Though most were probably expected of her by now. “Besides, you and Sora are the only two to get the special treatment. Which can only mean one thing.”

“Gee, who would think that?” His voice is as deadpan as always, but Kairi probably knows better by now.

     “Oh really....?” Her hands reached out to grab either side of his face and tug his cheeks.  She did know the answer without him actually saying it, but that was highly unlikely to ever stop her.  “Don’t answer my question with another question! Be a man and spit out a proper yes or no answer.”

“Do I need to take your phone away?”

“Are you hungry? There’s a really good café down the street.”

“You lied to me. You’re still lying.“

“There’s a reason why I wasn’t calling you back.”

“I’m meeting a group for dinner.“

“Hey. Sorry I’m late. My Uber driver put in the wrong address.“

“Any good gossip?“

“Sorry, I talk a lot. I just know I’d kick myself later if I didn’t at least try.”

“What, are we selling liquor from the back of the house now?”

“Girl, you used to have a shelf booty. Can’t put nothing on that now.“

“Stop it. How dare you? Getting me all excited because I think you’ve come to see me.”

“Now that we’re back in each other’s lives you think I’m gonna be a burden to you, is that it?”

“I made some cobbler from the pears you left in the kitchen.”

“I got us a couple of spots at the bar. They’re known for their martinis.“

“I know how you can get out of it. We go to Vegas and elope. This time tomorrow, we could be screaming our married heads off at Britney.”

“You busy tomorrow night?“

“I’d be drinking too if I had your life.“

“My life is finally coming together, so please… stay out of my way for once.“

“Everybody’s better off without me, like you said.”

“Look at everything that you’ve gotten away with. People are dead and you didn’t go to jail and you have the nerve to have an existential crisis?”

“Girls against boys. Come. I’ll explain everything else I know.“

“No, what makes me uncomfortable is you telling me that what I want to discuss in here is wrong. I mean, I’m here, I showed up on time, and all you’ve done is make me feel more screwed up than I already am.“

“Look, I’m not gonna do your job for you.“

“Oh. It even smells like money.“

“I’ve got an album of photos that says that you can’t hold your liquor.”

“I thought you were cooking me dinner tonight.”

“If you have something to say, say it.“

“I hate myself more than you could ever hate me if that makes you feel any better.“

“What can I do… to make it better?“

“You deserve a vacation… Somewhere on a beach with a piña colada.“

“I won. I mean, it was my first case back, and I won it. That’s why I wanted to tell you about it, because it felt good. It was something good.“

“I-I wasn’t asking you to say that.”

“We should start our own support group… For therapy, we could get drunk.“

When you were little, sbtdid you want to be when you grew up? What about now?

     “I don’t remember a lot from when I was really little. But back around the time I first met the boys I know I wanted to follow into some kind of leadership role like my adoptive dad. As the mayor he was able to do a lot of things to help other people. As for now...I don’t have a profession in mind. I just want to learn how to use my keyblade to it’s fullest so I can help Riku an Sora and not feel like a burden.”
