Unus Annus Analysis

Anniversary thoughts and theories!

Definitely think that their descriptions are supposed to answer to each other, not sure which way though.

“Time waits for no one.” “Not Enough Time.”

“Have You Forgotten?” “Too Busy.”

Or other ways around could work! I have a theory that perhaps this is Annus and Unus themselves questioning Mark and Ethan, Mark is “Too Busy” with his work to cast his remembrance to Unus Annus. Ethan didn’t have “Not Enough Time” to do so either. It makes sense.

The difference between Mark’s and Ethan’s videos were very drastic. Mark’s was playing with the clock ticking and somber music, Ethan’s was silent. Mark’s coffin was banging multiple times near the end, Ethan’s only banged once and it was sudden near the end.

I think that these separate distinct the personalities of Annus and Unus themselves. How Annus could be more persistent of “Multiple hits and keep going” and Unus is more fuel of “One and go.”

I personally don’t believe in Unus Annus returning, however I believe that something might happen, maybe when it hits 5 years since then. I presume that each videos from the years are a time base of each one.

Hence first they spoke to the audience about their experiences and what to come next after the Death of Unus Annus.

Then both Mark and Ethan visit Annus and Unus in their coffins for a talk about their lives.

Then both Ethan and Mark are speaking to each other about their experiences and things.

Then Ethan and Mark visit the coffins again to say as if a visit to their loved ones. Unus and Annus.

Finally until then of course, it’s more somber and quiet in Annus and Unus’ POV. We as the audience see their coffins.

Not very sure what the banging really means, Imma interpret it as a metaphor for how much time has really passed and Mark and Ethan are not in the videos like before. It’s Annus and Unus being the only noise that makes it out to the audience to keep remembering them and making themselves known.

Misinformation Watch: Matpat

There's been a recent misconception about Matthew Patrick/Matpat that I desperately have to correct.

NO. Matpat is not a politician now.

He is not in Congress.

He did not win any elections.

Matpat (and Stephanie Patrick, for that matter, let's not forget her) are actually working WITH a couple of actual Congressional reps as part of a bipartisan group called the Congressional Creators Caucus, or the Creator Economy Caucus.

They are trying to educate lawmakers about online content creators and their needs, as a couple of long-running creators themselves, as this is an economic space that affects a significant amount of Americans on all sides. They are aiming to influence policy, but are not actually creating policies themselves. Considering the mess that the TikTok "ban" created, this could be such an amazing help.

But NO. Matpat is not in Congress and is not running for an election anytime soon.

Please reblog, pass this around, because I don't want to spend hours correcting every single "Matpat is in Congress now?" posts, especially since I can't tell which ones are just jokes and which ones genuinely believe it.

I know I joke about hurricanes, because I am a Floridian and that's what we do. But that's because they're Normal, and so all Floridians know the Hurricane Rules. We know how the song and dance goes. West Coasters don't know the Hurricane Rules. You've never needed to know the Hurricane Rules. You guys know the Earthquake Rules, because that's Normal. But because of climate change, Hillary and her cousins are probably going to be a more common occurrence for the southwest. So here are the Hurricane Rules, straight from the Floridian's keyboard.

1: Assume the forecast is going to be wrong, and reality is going to be worse. Get your water jugs and batteries, get your Hurricane Cake, stack the sandbags, board the windows, and put your electronics on a high shelf. And if the NOAA says "category 5" and "landfall" in the same sentence without a "will not" in there, you pack your bags and get the fuck out.

2: Do not fucking go outside. There's surprisingly little lightning in a hurricane, but that's not the problem. It's the wind. The wind will knock you off your feet, either outright or by flinging heavy debris at you. You will not get back up again.

3: If the wind doesn't get you, the water will. Even after the storm has passed, stay the hell away from moving water, both on foot and in a vehicle. When the the flooding has settled down, then you break out the flat bottoms and jet skis and kayaks. Don't fucking swim in it, okay? Don't. The southwest may not have alligators like we do, but all the same you do NOT want to know what's in there. (It's mostly sewage.)

Also, your soil isn't built for inundation, and you've got hills there. Mudslides are going to happen, so be careful of mountain driving in the week or so after the storm comes through.
