My drawing for this year's name, plus a few of my favorite rejected names! Do I mourn the loss of a Cats the Musical-themed year? Of course, as I'm sure we all do. But that won't stop me from having a great Tummy Buddy Time.

And as a special treat, below we have my first attempt at trying to visualize "Tummy Buddy Time." Cause, you know, a McElroy-themed ouroboros makes about as much sense as anything else. Happy new year!

I can't believe that we have to wait for the sixth to find out the name of the year. Almost a week into 2025 just...floundering aimlessly. No title, no slogan. How am I supposed to make goals and resolutions like this?

really an inexplicable train of thought but i feel like taako is the kind of person who in a modren era au would just decide to go to a shooting range and learn how to shoot a pistol for funsies, but would consider learning to spin the pistol all cool like they do in cowboy movies to be his first and foremost priority. like hes already bought a holster and the moment he is given a gun he immediately starts trying to twirl it. the instructor has to tell him to stop or theyll take the gun away from him. he keeps trying to lead the conversation back to it anyway because he really feels like theyre putting the cart before the horse here if hes learning how to shoot the gun before even knowing how to dramatically reholster it if he were to get in some sort of cowboy duel. hes actually really good at the shooting part but he gets kicked out of the class after his eighth guntwirling attempt in which he accidentally flicks the safety off mid twirl and shoots one of their light fixtures

recently i got some blood test results that said i was iron deficient. i have been staying strong by reminding myself that david ward would also most likely be iron deficient. he simply has that unmistakable aura of iron deficiency and most likely a lack of vitamin d as well. maybe if that man had some more spinach in his diet he would be having a marginally better time? please consider a sequel to i am in eskew where david ward eats a vegetable and feels slightly (but not entirely) better. i think this would be a revolutionary and important piece of media.

ps. my friends say this is the least of his problems. my friends also say this is the least of my problems. oh dear.

I'm sorry to hear about the iron deficiency but hope the diagnosis helps you!

Brook: "Brook died and ate a devil fruit that would let him revive, but he's soul got lost for and by the time he found his body, it was already a skeleton. He's obsessed with skeleton puns. His a great musician and at some point becomes a rockstar known as "Soul King". He has a very sad backstory too.

(Spoilers for Brook's backstory) He was part of a pirate crew that befriended a baby whale. They eventually had to leave the whale because they felt it was too dangerous to take it with them, but they promised they'd eventually comeback. Sadly half of the crew got "the plague" along the way (including the captain) which meant that those that were still healthy had to continue the adventure on their own. Later they got attacked by an enemy crew and everyone died, making Brook the only one of his crew left thanks to his powers. Unfortunately the rowing of the ship had been broken, leaving Brook adrift and completely alone for 50 years until a new pirate crew found him and welcomed him. The promise he made to the baby whale has kept him going this time." -Submitter #1

"Former musician-turned-acting-captain of the Rumbar pirates, he was revived after death due to the effect of his devil fruit. Of course, it took a bit and the ocean carried away his ship, so by the time he found his body, he was nothing but bones. Not to diss on Daniel Jacobi but why do they need a demolitions expert on a deep space mission. Is he a necessity for his expertise or did they just bring him along because they think he's a pretty cool guy
