That laugh! What was it about villains and their horrendous laughs!? Cobra wouldn’t be surprised if he heard it in the backdrop of a nightmare, at some point. His attitude wasn’t improved at all when she leaned-in, mockingly. If there were any time he’d wished he’d had a longer spine, it would be now.

He felt like a cornered snake, and as much as he’d like to lash-out like one… 

   “And I’m sure no one would notice that.” K.C. spat. He’d always had a thing about authority. “If I’m so under you, Your Highness, why’re you bothering t’ talk to me? We’d both be less miserable without each-other’s presence.”

“Your Highness?” 

Another evil giggle. 

“I like the sound of that!” Her tone reeked of a false sweetness. “From now on, I think that’s what you’re going to call me. But drop the tone with it.”

“...Anyway, I was told how utterly hideous you were, and I just HAD to come see it with my own two eyes to believe it.” A brief pause, followed by the Doctor’s tone and demeanor almost instantly switching over to pure hostility. While it was to be expected by now, she always found a way to be just as startling.

“FIELD RESEARCH, YOU ABSOLUTE IMBECILE! YOU’RE IN MY WAY!”

She wasn’t about to admit that she lost control of Hedlok again.

Internally, he was jarred by the threats. Thankfully, he had a headpiece that could hide his obvious discomfort. His shoulders rolled back as if he were ready to fight.

   “Interestin’. Yeah, y’ act like snakes are th’ only creatures that are vulnerable to th’ cold.” He stood up straight, ditchign the fighting stance. Once he saw that his eyes were nearly level with the scientist’s, he internally fumed about how he’d be taller if she didn’t wear those damn heels.

   “But that doesn’t matter, does it, habi’? I’m one of th’ albalha that rakes-in cash for those labs y’ want t’ test me in. I’d watch y’erssself, if I were you.”

His words were met with even more laughter. This time instead of a giggle, she threw her head back and let loose the most grating, maniacal laughter. It was fairly clear that she considered Kid Cobra nowhere near respectable.

“What makes you think you can talk to me like that? You’re bloody disposable! We’re not going to go skint over a lowlife like you. If anything, we’re doing you a favor by letting you continue to exist! Keep talking like that, and you might go missing.” She leaned forward a bit condescendingly, her eye level meeting his.

A loud, obnoxious giggle escaped her lips. It’s always adorable when they think they can fight back.

“Who said I needed to be fast? There are many ways to kill a snake. Why, I could corner you until you have nowhere to run, perhaps wait until your guard is down to strike... Maybe even slowly freeze you!”

@radmadscientist: “Watch it, snake boy. The last thing you want to be is my next target.”

   “Someone with metal-for-arms doesn’t strike me as being th’ best at target practice. Snakes are fast, Coyle… got an upgrade f’r that?”
