So I’ve been thinking about Karkat and Kankri for a bit…

Vantascest where Kankri is struggling with his morally depraved feelings and desires he’s been developing for Karkat. He’s yearning so bad. Has the most disgusting of thoughts. Wakes up every night drooling and with soiled pants because of these images he just can’t control. But he has to stick to what he preaches. He has to maintain that perfect ‘unproblematic’ appearance. He just CANT be a freak. He just CANT want something so wrong.

But the more he bottles it up and denies himself, the worse it gets.

Because in the end, it’s always the ones that act the most performatively self righteous and morally superior that are the true weirdos.

If anyone has done this already in a fic feel free to send it my way. I may write something though.

Hi every9ne, 6ig news.

I'm getting top surgery on Monday, I'm so very excited!!! Sorry I haven't been so active, this is the first blog I've actually maintained. I'm not used to "engaging" with people, I'm a chronic lurker.

Anyhow, I'll try more to be active while I'm recovering. Someone needs to make these freaks fight nasty, and it might as well be me. Perchance.

you know I think it’s funny that the literal main difference between karkat and kankri is Nurture. Like karkat is just kankri plus Prey Animal Desperation and that’s pretty much it

Karkat and Kankri are so, so much more alike than people realize. There's the surface-level stuff, like their shared verboseness and anger issues, and the fact that neither of them listen to their conversation partners when they have a topic in mind. However, both also have a tendency to assume everyone else is more incompetent than themselves. This is pretty clear with Karkat, since he has a very direct approach when insulting others, but where people mistake Kankri's political correctness it's kinda really obvious he's just insulting all of his friends.

Of course, Karkat's insults are mostly for show and more of a cover to keep people away from him. He genuinely cares for all of his friends and frequently worries that he's gone "too far". The struggle between wanting a genuine connection with another troll and knowing that if anyone gets too close it's a death sentence.

Meanwhile, with Kankri, it's the caring that's for show. All of his arguments for respect and inclusion only put down everyone around him (except maybe Latula, but he's absolutely not respectful of her) and he seems to enjoy being condescending. Kankri is a lot more composed than Karkat, but I think that it's just because he isn't constantly worrying about his own death. Put any amount of stress on him and he blows up like he did with Porrim while she was treating him like a wiggler.

The main difference to me between Karkat and Kankri is how they respect other people. Karkat genuinely respects people's opinions even if he thinks they're stupid. Let dumbasses be dumbasses as long as it doesn't affect him. Kankri just doesn't respect anybody, even if he says (and maybe even thinks) he does.

Oh my GODDDD!

I saw a screenshot of the new Befriendus Kankri campaign and he was SHIRTLESS?? You can't DO this to me I was in CLASS???? Those stupid high-pants make me go crazy upon seeing his shoulders. Must be what Victorian men felt when they saw a woman's calf.

I am not a selfish man, I don't require much to sustain myself. This has sent me into oblivion.
