unsure how to still process all this around him, everyone seemed to just be adjusting and alejandro was following along as best he could. the idea that there was someone else here, a different version of himself, he was curious to their life, was his mother alive? was his past the same? he wanted to find out, needed to find out but had no idea how to go about it. one thing that he was happy to know didn't change was that nox was there with him, which in turn meant something, or maybe nox was always meant to be in his life. something was off, but he was just looking forward.

alejandro took a step outside of his cabin and headed out to his daily run out near the lake, thoughts rushing - but a quick stop as he spotted a fellow demi-god and nox went running to greet them. "nox.. it's fine..." following up behind, he laughed. "hey..." watching nox sniffing them out, he could tell that nox was adjusting to, different scents that came them all. "it's kind of like he's remeeting everyone all over again, if that makes sense."

the feeling of the his lips against his own, he felt at home, welcomed. it's what he needed and hoped. he knew that he needed to start reaching out to others and just hope for the best, but right not it was about the two of them. remembering how they met, it always brought a smile out of him, not knowing that this is where he'll be after everything that had happened.

having his hands slowly move up to cup both sides of jesse's face, he held it in place for a moment, looking into those soulful eyes, remembering then their time in the wardrode - got them even closer than ever. "i -- another time, right now i just want nothing more than to spend my time with you here, right now. whatever that is, food or other wise.. i did really miss you, jesse .. i do hope you didn't think i wouldn't come back." slowly leaning in slightly, alejandro rested their foreheads together. "i meant it when i said that you were on my mind while i was gone.."

jesse hummed, hands on ale's hips, pulling him close as he guided him towards the kitchen, lips finding his. he did intend to put some food into him, but after the time away, the silence... well, jesse maybe wanted to put other things in him as well.

that could wait though, hands caressing full cheeks. "i will catch you up on anything you want to know. might just take a while... this place," he smiles, not reaching his eyes, "well it moves fast."

he managed not to grimace at the mention of gabe, though he couldn't yet muster a smile. he did remember the shield, made in a prayer, meant for him, for all jesse had found in camp... and what he lost. "maybe i can teach you a few things as well." he manages to say, trying to focus on that instead.

things seem to have really turned for the better in a way when it came to alejandro. working out his own issues, freedom in a way, sure there is still a lot of stuff anyone can fix, but why fix when you can just overcome. that's what ale was doing, overcoming. swinging around his greataxe, taking in the view of this whole new event going around. practicing is what he needed, keeping his head in the game. it wasn't until he spotted silas, that he spotted and pointed that greataxe at the older man, the man that has always been there for him. "oye, -- busy?" he yelled out, tossing his axe to his side and cracking his fingers.

the hold jesse has on him was something he can't put into words, pressing his lips against his neck, he smiled to himself as he began to sink himself into the grasp before him. "god i will die to some meat right now, or just about any good food -- might have not been having much time to eat well while away." he laughed, just then slowly pulling away but taking his hand into his own, lacing them together.

"thought i might need you to fill me in on what i have missed around here -- i mean, two weeks away things could happen, right? no one died? -- right?" he asked, actually worried that things might have changed, but he was going to deal with it all and get back to where he was before, hopefully. "i can help you cook if you like, but i am not the best or honestly good at it at all... thought gabe did teach me how to make a pizza."

he shook his head, not letting him go for a minute, hands clinging, taking him in. "i trust you will." he whispered, breathing in his scent, hands closing around the one on his chest. feeling...

it was a strange feeling. familiar, and all too unknown at the same time, but not one jesse felt like rejecting. not now.

"well," jesse wasn't actually the best cook, he did have ways to get food, but perhaps going about this the old fashioned way was best. "big lad like you should have some meat." he suggested, easy enough to get something in a pan... if he just remembered how he used to do it. "i'll let you enjoy my specialty instant noodles later."

"sorry, i was going to call - just didn't want to make you worried, which i guess made you worry.. yeah, didn't think of that." he said, kissing him back once more before looking over then jesse's shoulders.

there was a lot on his mind, there was a lot he can talk about - but this time it wasn't haunting him, not like it was before. he knew now he was able to count on those close to him, try and mend what he might have broken, pushed away. "i do mean it, babe -- and i'll prove it to you." placing a hand to rest over jesse's heart, a big smile lit up the son of ares' face. "oh gods yeah, i'm starved -- what's on the menu?" he mused, hugging the older man right back, he knew he was home -- this is where he belongs.

"well i'm glad i was on your mind. i would've appreciated a call though." he said, though there was no anger in his voice, a simple nudge of their foreheads and lips meeting once more as he assured himself this was real. he felt a deep sense of relief at finding him here, again. home.

he rubbed those cheeks, one hand caressing hair as he spoke. "i don't mind pissed off. and i don't mind sticking around to say i knew you'd be back..." he smiled, pulling his hand up to kiss it. "i hope you mean that, ale. i was... i worry about you."

words were hard, feelings were, tricky, minefields that threatened him. even knowing ale had seen it all. had even gone home with him, seen part of the life he led before this... he wrapped his arms around him and held tight.

"are you hungry?"

walking along the lake with nox by his side, shirtless - doing his daily run before he noticed someone just laying out. it was a face he's not seen before - he was curious, but before he was able to make the first move, nox was already running off to greet the new face. "damn it nox! don't scare him off!" he yelled out, rushing out to catch up with nox who was now attacking with licks against the strangers cheek.

"shit! -- hai, sorry." kneeling down to pull nox off who was wagging his tail, begging for the attention of the new guy. "promise, he's big for nothing, he's a good boy, just too friendly." he laughed, nervously. "you're new huh? a lot to take in yeah?"

The warm suns beams down on his bare torso as he lays out by the lake, enjoying the peace and quiet while he's still got it. Fresh off of the effects of his ambrosia, Hunter knew he'd have to go out and socialize eventually; for now, though, he'd indulge in some solitude. Every passing hour left him further and further from the discomfort of the night before, n' he felt pretty good about his trajectory.

With a sigh, he lays back, soaking in the quiet while he still could.

alejandro didn't expect what just happened, but he welcomed it, gods did he welcome it. it felt like home against those lips before him. kissing him back, passionately - alejandro kept him close, really holding him as close as he was able to without hurting him. as soon as he pulled back, he looked into those eyes before him, taking it all in with a bright smile spreading across his face. "i thought about you the whole time - kept telling myself that i have people that need me. this is home." leaning in and kissing him once more, he placed a hand slowly to rest against jesse's cheek.

"i know i have been a lot to deal with, a lot to handle. pushed you away, pushed so many away, but i know now that i am not alone in any of this. sure - i'm gonna be always some pissed off little shit, but i'll be a happy pissed off ragey little shit huh." laughing, his hand slowly moved down to take jesse's onto his own. "i'm here to stay."

people came and went, and lately too many were leaving, out of choice, or not. there was a lot to wrap your mind around and the conflicts and corruption and death...

well, it was always there, waiting, knocking on their doors and demanding more. the gods always wanted more, or needed more. he knew ale might need his time away, to process everything. and he could understand, could relate, he only wished he hadn't pushed him out so much.

yet, there he was, that morning, smiling at him like nothing had happened and jesse could only shake his head, noticing the difference in him right away, features softening into a smile as he pulled him into a kiss without answering, the door to nyx' cabin open as he pulled him fully inside.

"i might have." he whispered, "did you miss me while you were out there?" his hands ran across strong arms, traced scars, remembered every piece of him he had memorized.

so much has happened, alejandro needed some alone time. time to just gather his thoughts and process everything around him. making it back to camp, he looked around - this was home. there was no where he felt as such in his life. the people around him mean the world to him, he was going to accept that and embrace it. the past is in the past and it shouldn't define you - what should is what you do now and how you hold yourself up moving forward. making it up to jesse's cabin, he knocked on the door with a bag on hand. was he nervous, yes, but he was just more so excited to see the man, the man that has always had his back, truly.

as soon as the door had opened, he looked upon the man's face, smiling to himself as he blushed slightly against his tan skin. "missed me?" he grinned, he looked different, there was not that anger boiling up inside him, no sadness in his eyes. there was calm - peace. "can i come in?"

quickly turning around at simons words, he hated that he was snapping - but everyone knew alejandro's anger was always on the verge of blowing up. "then don't fucking ask - not like anyone fucking cares to fucking know!" he yelled at him, looking at the man right in the eyes. there was nothing more than just anger written all over his face. hearing his heart beating against his ears as his hands began to tighten up into fist, more so to ground himself, not harm.

"just -- " stepping up closer, he rushed up to nox. bending down to grab his dog and holding him up in his arms. starting right at simon as he was this close now, he missed him, of course he missed him, but it was better to push away now. it was for simon's safety, he's better off anyways. they all are.

taking just a moment to really look at him, thinking of their time together - he hated how emotional of a person he was. this was not like him before coming here and now he's a fucking ball of all sorts of emotions that he can never get a handle on. "i.. i hope you ... " he paused, just shaking it off before turning and walking away.

simon was better off.

when nox didn't move, simon kept looking between the dog and the man.

one was calm, and disobedient, and probably trying to say something without speaking.

the other was irritating, pacing, and probably trying not to say something without speaking.

simon heard them both.

"uh, no-- nox can't stay here? I'm shit with dogs." said even as he sank to a lazy crouch, to get a hand on said dog's back. "don't make me ask what's going on. you want space? you got it. but you're not gonna be able to hide out forever."

looking up from simon down to nox, he couldn't believe that nox was this smart in the moment. alejandro needed this - even if he will deny it, he just felt as he needed that someone that was close to him, or at least he felt that. even if alejandro was pulling away from everyone, he knew that simon still meant a lot to him. he'll always have his back - even if he is pushing him away. just felt safer to keep everyone at a distance.

"yeah -- i guess he does." he told him, just snapping his fingers again but nox just moved in closer towards simon, nearly getting into the others cabin. "god damn it -- fine.. he can stay with you. i don't got time for this right now." just with that alone, alejandro turned on his heels, just about to leave, but he didn't move -not yet. the instant regret and pull taking over. this inner battle yelling from the inside. "fucking hell!" it was then he forced himself to move, leave - he needed to leave.

ah, fuck.

he'd been meaning to find alejandro. been meaning to text, to reach out, to find some way to bridge the gap that's probably been on fire since another guy tapped out, but. he couldn't figure out the right words. and as much as alejandro punching him in the jaw worked out the last time, he wasn't quite sure if that'd be the way to go, again.

of course, the fucking dog who made a nest from one of his shirts decided to start things for them.

opening the door, he came into view in sleep pants and little else. slung low under his fuzzy stomach, and his arms crossed just under his chest.

"guess nox knows better than we do," he offered.

alejandro snapped, pushing jay off him hard. using all his strength in that moment. it was not until he noticed who he just pushed off that he stood back, not even noticing that the other camper just ran off. alejandro just stood there shocked by his own actions as he began to feel his own mind racing with all sorts of emotions. "i ... i'm fucking fine!" he yelled out.

quickly turning around as to leave, he felt this inner battle begin to take over. wanting to burn the world around him, punch anything and everything in sight, yet at the same time wanting to run to jay, be held, loved - told that everything will be okay. that he mattered - that jay won't leave him like everyone else tends to do. knowing that jay knows everything about him now, it scared him so much to think that just because of that alone he can't fool him. he can't lie - he can't hide what he's hiding inside.

walking off, he was speeding away. needing to get away, needing to get the fuck out of there. hoping that jay was not following him, yet hoping that he would just because that part of him really needed him, always was going to need him.

the daylight was not doing jesse any favors, not right now, he needed a walk... something to take his mind off everything. of what might be waiting for them, or coming their way. there was newfound confidence, an embrace that he had shied towards but that now he'd felt... truly felt.

he didn't expect to find ale, he was... well, something was going on, clearly, but he wasn't used to be the pushing type, the look for someone and make them talk type. he wasn't used to... this.

that didn't mean he'd let him wander off alone, shouting at campers like that. "hey, hey," he said, an arm automatically around him, almost pulling him away from the other as he tried to meet his eyes. "what's going on ale? what'd they do?" he asked, sending the other away with a not so subtle look their way before focusing back on the man in front of him.

"haven't seen you in a minute..." jesse did miss the comforting warmth of the other over him in his bed, truth be told.

this was a lot to handle all at once. abandonment, he knew that very well. it's happened so many times before, even here - but what he didn't expect was one that he had come too close to. he told himself that he will not let this happen, and yet - here he was. the thought of anyone else doing that to him pained him. he was done losing people. if anyone else like jesse, jay, silas, simon .. so on left him just as wyatt did, he wouldn't know what to truly do. so the best course of action at least in his mind is to just push them all away.

lost deep in though, trying his best to not remember the good times he had with everyone, right as he was starting to think about jesse - he felt arms warping around him. alejandro should have pushed them away, but in that moment he didn't. it was almost like he knew jesse was there, his warmth alone choking him up as he moved a hand up to rest against jesse's hand.

not speaking just yet, just looking out at the lake, keeping jesse as close as he could, leaning back slightly. " i -- nothing is wrong." he lied, of course he was going to lie. closing his eyes in that moment, he started to remember the times he's been so useless, during meetings here, the dragon, certain parts of missions he's been on. the son of ares was starting to ruin himself from the inside out. "i'm fine." he lied once more.

Jesse liked to think he had a good read on people, especially the ones he cared about. He might not have been book smart, he might not even be that street smart about a lot of things to be honest, but when it came to his loved ones, those who he considered friends and family and everything in between, he liked to think he had a good read. So after the texts he'd gotten from Alejandro, and knowing Wyatt had mysteriously left camp, of course he'd had his concerns. His first stop was the Are's cabin, a place he didn't actually expect Ale to be, but he'd tried it anyway. Sure enough, it had been empty, but surprisingly looked lived in through the window. It looked as if Nox was there at least. He'd always thought Ale hated staying in his cabin alone.

That was the red flag that spurred him on his quest.

Jesse glanced down to Sol, who seemed to be glued to his hip ever since he had been returned to him, afraid the separation could return. He gave his drake's head an affectionate pat, reassuring. "Keep an eye on this place. If anything weird happens, or if Ale shows up, just let me know, yeah?" Sol simply gave him a disapproving grunt, but settled on his haunches and eyed the cabin. "I won't go far, Solluxus," he assured his companion, before he made toward the lake.

The lake had been the place Jesse knew Ale when to when he was stressed, depressed, or simply just antisocial. It was where he found him that first time they really connected, and he hoped it would be where he'd find him again. Sure enough, as he sauntered down the path toward the water, he saw his friend there, brooding out across the water. "You know I'm not a night person," he quipped, casually walking up, sliding into the space right behind, Ale, legs on either side of his friend, providing himself as a pillow if he wanted to lean back. "Talk to me, Ale. What's going on."

barely sleeping, barely eating - just floating around in the darkness of his mind. lost back in the past, in the fear he always had of being abandoned. feeling so useless - feeling himself fading away, his walls building back up quickly, alejandro knew what this meant and he was not fighting it. it was better this way.

after a few days just to himself, he was thankful for wolfram to be taking care of nox from time to time. alejandro barely made eye contact while he spoke to anyone, even right now as he was making his way over towards the other demigods cabin to grab nox from him. knocking on the door, he had his eyes lowered, not wanting to be looked at as he was looking a little worse than normal. "open up!"

this was all a lot to take in, the idea of almost losing jesse against the dragon, having done nothing at all - the fear alone was getting to him. he couldn't protect them. coming back home after that - feeling so useless, having been feeling already all so useless with how things have been going. the meetings, people just clinging onto people they are closer too - alejandro didn't feel needed, wanted - at first it made him confuse as though everyone was feeling him they cared for him and such, but yet - he felt as it was just all words. that was when he started to push away from certain people. they were all together, they didn't need him, none of them really did. why would they want someone like him? he's given up - even more now that one of them left him when they said they wouldn't. another person leaving him, he knew it was a matter of time when others would leave and it hurt. alejandro didn't want this pain anymore, he needed to pull away and fast, so he did - he did just that. his walls were getting higher. no more pain, no more letting anyone in. it's what he should have done in the first place.

getting out of his cabin for a bit, it was thankfully late at night. nox was sleeping, every might just be sleeping or just doing their own thing. alejandro felt the urge to head to the lake - sit down just where he once laid out with jesse, not remembering this was the spot that jesse and him opened up together, sparking that what was between them - there was still that fire. he will protect them all, he always will - he'll not leave, death will have to take him. looking out at the lake, images of those he cares for flashed before him, but each time he thought of them he forced it to forget. put it somewhere in the back of his head that won't hurt him. all the good and bad memories just fading. it was for his own good. at least that was what he was telling himself as he sat there on the ground lost in his own mind.

when really thinking there was a few names in mind that kept wanting to break through him - those strong feelings wanting to rip through him, needing to keep himself grounded and not lose all the work he felt he has been doing. jay, simon, silas, remy, atticus, jesse, isaac, romeo, & oliver -- those names and more just began to ring in his head. rattling in his blood - and yet, the walls were stronger this time. the once happy man that walked around with such anger - but yet with so much love, happiness has fallen.

when did this truly start, he can't pinpoint it, but seeing them all happy and feeling as if he was in the way. he remembered when he was staying in the athena cabin, he needed to just leave, he didn't fit, he could not stay in others cabins for too long as he didn't wish to take up too much of their space and time when he knew others wanted them. it was a lot to handle - a lot of unknown territory that was eating up inside him. that along with how useless he felt - he was just the weapon that he was made out to be. no matter how much those around him tell him that his he not - that is all they use him for a the end of the day. alejandro should not be walking around, he should not be around people - as the son of ares was on edge. one wrong look at ... there he went. "WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST SAY?" he snapped at a random camper as he got right in their face, not caring who was around him right now.
