Wild to me that people think up characters before they write stories. These days I start writing a story I want to write and the characters organically emerge from the ooze and introduce themselves.
is this thing on. the point isn’t that the knight slays the dragon and rescues the princess or whatever it’s that in any world where there’s two knights and two discrete things to love, they’re going to have to fight each other
it’s not about the armor and the sword and whatnot even though those kick a lot of ass. it’s about being so so dedicated to a something that you give up so much of your wealth and time and health to get better at surviving and taking action so you can live out that dedication more. and there are other people out there who are just as dedicated as you and you meet on the field of battle and you have to kill each other but you don’t want to because how can you choose to break the only mirror that reflects you

what the fuck is the point of “discover” or “for you” feeds or whatever if half of the shit they show you is posts from people you’re following. i want that feed to be stuff i might enjoy once i’m done looking at all of the posts from people i follow since i last looked at the site. i enjoyed looking at your site and now i want new posts, not the ones i just got done looking at. what are you doing
picked up a second job as a test subject for the High-Energy Genderdynamics laboratory down the road for some extra beer money but they said there’s quote “not a whole lot they can do with this” unquote so i mostly just sit in a chair my whole shift as a sensor calibration target. kinda dull tbh, seems like the people getting hit with beams are having a lot more fun, but the sound of the Estradizer in the next room over running at full whack is pretty relaxing and they don’t care if you fall asleep in the chair for a little while
