With a *THUMP* the signal dropped & stepney rolled into Ffarquar with the enthusiast special!
All the engines had finished there work to watch him arrive, even Mavis had been given permission to attend!
They had a lovely day & all enjoyed seeing Stepney again!

As Terry came up to the crossing he saw a troubling site.
"Where are you off to looking like that?" he asked.
"The fair; Thomas couldn't make it. Where are you going?"
"The fair..."
"Well someone's made a right cock up haven't they" Latasha sighed.

Most engines paid no mind to the ships at the harbour. They were often tall, intimidating figures that's elegant design demanded respect. In turn most ships saw engines as rude & wouldn't speak either.
Porter meanwhile saw things differently & went out of his way to say hello.

The country sped past King Sigmund as he hauled the express at breath taking speeds.
He was young, green & yet to learn of the horrors the years ahead would bring to him & many other steam engines...

Hello! Suppose I should introduce myself. I’m TheBuriedTruck, and I write silly little stories about trains with faces. By no means am I a “professional writer” - I just know what I do and don’t like in stories, and perhaps if you’ll allow me to, I’ll ramble about my favourite books, stories, characters, themes - and anything else! I hope you enjoy!

The station master life didn't suit Old Bailey. The suit didn't sit right & he missed roaming up & down his little line doing "Proper" work as he called it.
So whenever he could he would patrol the line with his trusty pump Trolley to make sure the it was clear for the engines.

Just before the harbour on Edward's branchline is a big yard where all the goods ready to load onto ships are taken to be sorted.
Bill & Ben loved playing in the yard as it gave them lots of places to hide among the trucks.

Western Empress' favourite train was the first grain train for the season when the harvest came in & large quantities were needed to be taken by rail.
She would roar past the coast, looking out to sea feeling alive.

The Duke & Duchess of Boxford had a special bell in their coach. Whenever it rang, Spencer was to stop at the next station to allow them to stretch their legs & go see the sights.
This made him feel most important. The other's disagreed & called it reckless but he didn't care.

Ryan didn't care where he worked. When the Harwick branch wasn't busy he would work just about anywhere.
He shuttled back & fore across the islands with goods, his little plaques below his smokebox letting everyone know where he had come from as he passed with a friendly peep.

Robert snarled like a wild animal as the men approached
"Unhand me you evil cretin! You pint sized polishing parasite, y-"
"Stow it!" the cleaner yelled. "Fat controllers orders, your not pulling the express without washing your beard! I'd want to cut it so count yourself lucky!"

The next morning he picked up lots of passengers.
"All aboard!" he tooted & set off for the station. He was driving so smoothly that the hens didn't wake up...
