For my final blog post, I'm doing Pete the Cat! from Pete the Cat - Scuba Cat. When I was little I LOVED Pete the Cat. I would read every book that was out and just adored him. I made a pumpkin version of Pete the Cat that I submitted to a pumpkin decorating contest. I can't remember if I won, but overall it was super cool. I also have a Pete the Cat plushie which I still have. The art style the Pete the Cat books have are super cute and unique. Pete himself has a lot of style to him, and with each drawing in the book it's filled with personality. It uses vibrant colors and gives a big nostalgic feeling when looking at each page. I chose Pete the Cat book because I saw it while doing the previous assignment where we had to get photos from the library.

Artist credit: https://www.instagram.com/macecherr/?igshid=MzNlNGNkZWQ4Mg%3D%3D I saw this poster on Instagram and with my recent obsession with Radiohead, I had to talk about it. I love all of the references in this poster to the band. On the right it has the "modified bear" or "blinkybear" It appeared originally during the making of radioheads album Kid A. It also has lyrics from their song No Surprises off of the Ok Computer album. The actual art on this poster is amazing, it looks like it was done with color pencil which is impressive. I love how bright all the colors are and how the main subject is red drawing your attention to it. This image makes me really happy just looking at it, I love seeing art made of things that I enjoy and this is a really good example of it. Everything about this is very well done and put together super well. Overall I don't have any criticisms of it and relly enjoy looking at it.

Art by: Stanley Donwood This is the Hail to the Thief album cover for the band Radiohead. Hail to the Thief is the 6th studio album by Radiohead. It was released on June 9th, 2003. I chose this due to me currently listening to a lot of Radiohead so it would be a fitting artwork to pick. This album cover has a good story to it, with it being it represents consumerism flowing into our lives. The actual painting is a painting of the Pacific coast and is a roadmap of Hollywood with the words being roadside advertisements. The artist Donwood said "Advertising was designed to be attractive, but that there was something "unsettling" about being sold something" This is represented in the artwork and when looking at it you get kinda a ere feeling with all of the advertisements kinda in your face. I also think a really unique thing about this album cover it doesn't feature the band's name on it anywhere. The actual album itself is Radioheads most political album talking about anger at the unjust wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. It also covers lead singer Thom Yorke's anger towards the election with the US election of George W. Bush. Overall I really love this album cover, the album itself, and the band!

Art by: Cate Wurtz Car Seat Headrest is an indie rock band I've been following for about 3 years now, I first heard about them through their 2018 release "Twin Fantasy." The artwork that I picked is for their upcoming album in 2025 called "The Scholars," and it is something that I am very excited to listen to when it releases. This art is drawn by artist Cate Wurtz, in which her and the singer of Car Seat Headrest have a very long history that is the main focal point of albums such as "Twin Fantasy" and "Monomania." It is very heartwarming and admiring knowing that even throughout everything they continue to stay friends and work together still. The art itself is very intriguing, feeling like a VHS box art for a retro show. This feeling is mainly due to the noticeable wear and tear on the edges. The clothing of the two characters shown, as well as the dark, seemingly neverending corridor gives a very spooky, Halloweenish feel to it. This makes me wonder how well the artwork represents the music, and how it'll sound when it releases. Something that interests me as well is the left side, with a cropped photo of nature and flowers. The discordance of the two also adds to the vintage, retro, almost second-hand feel.

This photo I really like from my color walk, it shows the bright greens really well. It also shows the winter setting well with all of the dead trees. With this color walk, I went with my friends. While we were there, we saw the river, ladybugs, and flowers. It was really pretty to look at and just walk around. The sun was out so it wasn't cold outside, so while we were walking it was very nice and warm. We went to Blanco Sholes Natural Area park to walk. There was no particular reason as to why we chose to go to it but it was the closest natural park to where we were at. It was a lot of fun going on this walk and I am glad that we went on it.

For this blog post, I decided to use the album art of my favorite band Green Day, this album cover is for the album "American Idiot" I haven't written a blog about an album I like. The album is American Idiot released in 2004 by the band Green Day. This band means a lot to me and this album is what got me into them truly. Everything about it is just so amazing from each song it tells a story. Listening to it brings me back to when I first found out about the band and how far I've come as a person. It really means a lot to me when I listen to them and just makes me so happy. This band means a lot to me and I've had great memories with my dad specifically because of them. That kinda sounds crazy but going to 2 of Green Days concerts I was able to bond with my dad. Every day I think about the concert I went to in Austin with him. We got pit tickets and in the middle of the concert I was brought on stage with the band and it felt so unreal. Later in the concert, they played the American Idiot album in full. Listening to this album now just reminds me of that moment of how happy I was along with my dad. Looking at the album cover I almost get that exact same feeling.

Artist Credit: https://keymintt.tumblr.com/post/729937251066396672 This art piece really stood out to me, when I saw it I knew this would be the next thing I'd want to blog about. I love the detail in the wolf, every line you see looks like it is an actual photo of a black and white wolf. the emotion you see in it is also amazing. In most realistic drawings of animals, it's hard to tell the emotion they feel, most realistic animal drawings feel very neutral. Other than the color in the drawing, the eye I was really drawn to, the wolf looks shocked. The other super cool thing about this drawing is how little color there is but with the color on the face, it really stands out. I love this drawing and it inspires me to try to experiment with colors.

This is one of my favorite drawings I've saved, this drawing is really unique and in a way speaks to me. I feel a connection with this drawing. One of my favorite things to draw is fish, I feel fish can represent a lot of things like emotions, people, thoughts, etc. This is a really good example of that. One thing that sticks out to me with this drawing is the colors along with the color palette. The white skeleton fish with the mix of blues pinks and purples works really well together. I've done a good amount of drawings with fish and never tried to make a drawing with the skeletons of fish, this drawing inspires me to try that. Another thing that sticks out to me with this is the texture of the drawing, the watercolor, and canvas texture really help the drawing. It makes it feel like your there metaphorically. It's like you're looking into someone's mind. Overall I love this drawing so much.

To add on it has a cartoony-esque feeling to it while still being true to the realistic style. I love all the details on the butterfly and how it looks like the butterfly's wings are the dog's eyes. It also kinda looks like a mask on the dog's face. I feel also this drawing has a very nice meaning to it with it having the topic of life and death working together. It's a very beautiful drawing and it inspires me just to keep drawing.

Artist credit: https://x.com/wauldelta I love this drawing so much. The sharp red colors and overall composition of it. It's very detailed in its anatomy while staying stylized like the two serve to complement each other to make a drawing that's very interesting to look at, the black and red gradients showcased all around contrast well with the white person, and it inspires me to practice anatomy more not even to draw skeletons but to have body proportions accurately match it. My favorite thing about the drawing is the colors, colorful artwork with almost eye-straining colors that work together are some of my favorite types of pieces to look at because of how interesting they can be. Overall I love this drawing, the style, and the colors, it all just works together so well. For these reasons is why I chose this from my archive as the first drawing to post on my blog.
