Pacific Rim is the best movie ever made for the same reason Sif is the best boss in Dark Souls. Are you kidding me? Pacific Rim 100% predicted this kind of thing. That's literally what the Pacific Perimeter Program was about. Once the PPDC decided fighting kaiju was too expensive, they just gave up and chose to ignore the problem by putting it behind a big wall. Pacific Rim is literally about the people who were abandoned by the institutions that were supposed to protect them and kept on trying anyway.

And a second kind where after a few back and forth’s you have no idea how to respond to the bit anymore and just sort of go blank because you ran out of things to say about this joke

I am the second and I’m friends with a couple people who are the first and boy is it just painful on both sides. I get you want to talk to me and can’t think of a conversation topic, but I only have so many ways to react to you making sentences with a word that rhymes with my name before I’m just staring blankly at you because you’ve exhausted my dialogue options on this topic
